AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF) carried out new airdrop operations on Wednesday to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates Air Force.
The mission was part of ongoing joint efforts to support the Palestinians amid the dire humanitarian conditions in the war-torn Strip, a JAF statement said.
Two C-130 aircraft, one from the Royal Jordanian Air Force and the other from the UAE, were used to carry out the airdrops, in coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), according to the statement.
A total of 16 tonnes of essential supplies, including food and infant formula, were airdropped over various areas of war-torn Gaza, bringing the total amount of aid delivered by airdrop over recent days to 73 tonnes.
The operation was carried out using a delivery mechanism designed to ensure the aid reaches those in need efficiently and effectively, JAF said.
The recent mission marked the 130th independent airdrop operation conducted by the JAF. A further 270 airdrops have been carried out in collaboration with other nations as part of a broader international initiative to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza by air.

The latest effort brings the total aid dropped into Gaza since the resumption of airdrop operations last week to around 148 tonnes, JAF said. Participating in Friday's mission were two aircraft from the Royal Jordanian Air Force, alongside planes from the United Arab Emirates, Germany (two aircraft), France, and Spain. The joint operation forms part of continuing efforts to provide relief to civilians in Gaza amid worsening humanitarian conditions, the army said. The airdrops come in line with directives from His Majesty King Abdullah to intensify Jordan's humanitarian response and demonstrate solidarity with the Palestinian people, according to the statement. The joint operation also reflects strong cooperation and shared humanitarian values among the participating nations, it added. JAF reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the flow of aid to Gaza through various channels, including direct airdrops and overland convoys. To date, Jordan has conducted a total of 133 individual airdrops over the besieged enclave, with an additional 276 joint operations completed in coordination with allied and friendly countries, JAF said.

The airdrop included contributions from the Canadian government and delivered 18 tonnes of aid to various locations across the Strip. With this operation, the total amount of humanitarian supplies delivered via airdrop in recent days has reached approximately 91 tonnes, with All drops being conducted under strict standards to ensure precision and efficiency in reaching those in need. To date, the JAF has conducted 131 airdrops, alongside 271 joint airdrops carried out in cooperation with other nations via an air bridge aimed at easing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
