MasterChef's new presenters 'confirmed' after Gregg Wallace and John Torode axin
Earlier this week an independent review commissioned by production company Banijay into misconduct accusations against Wallace, 60, upheld 45 of the 83 allegations, leading to his official removal from the cooking reality series.
Torode, 59, exited hot on his heels after admitting he was subject to the racial language accusation featured in the review, although he has claimed he has 'no recollection' of the incident.
It was claimed that he 'used the 'the N-word' on two separate occasions while working at the BBC.
Now, however, Saturday Kitchen's Matt Tebbutt, 51, is said to be in the running to take the vacant position, according to The Sun.
Joining him, fellow BBC chef Andi Oliver, 62, who presents Great British Menu, is reportedly being considered as well.
Matt Tebbutt is a British chef and food presenter best known for presenting Channel 4's Food Unwrapped and Drop Down Menu, the BBC's Saturday Kitchen and the Good Food channel's Market Kitchen.
Tebbutt ran a restaurant called The Foxhunter for many years with his wife, but gave it up to focus on his TV career.
Previously, he presented Saturday Kitchen while regular host James Martin was away but then became the main presenter.
Andi Oliver is also a chef, TV and radio broadcaster and former singer.
She is known for appearing on BBC's Great British Menu, and is the author of the book The Pepperpot Diaries: Stories From My Caribbean Table, which she published in 2023.
For four years she ran a successful restaurant called The Moveable Feast before opening her award-winning restaurant, Andi's, in 2016.
Grace Dent, who has stepped into host Celebrity MasterChef, was said to also be in the running for the permanent MasterChef spot.
However, a source told The Sun: 'Matt is seen as a really safe pair of hands by the BBC. He has been in the frame for some time and is now being lined up for MasterChef.
'The BBC are keen to bring Andi Oliver on board too. She has been so popular as host of the Great British Menu. More Trending
'They're not sure if she can commit at this stage because of her schedule with that show but everyone is hoping they can get her on board.'
The source added: 'Everyone loves Andi and she would be perfect for the role in many ways.
'She is very talented on her own merit but she would also help bring a more diverse look for the show, which is much needed.

Some, we're shocked we missed out from our list (Two Soups with Julie Walters – of course!) others, well, if we're being pedantic, they're not from sketch shows (Del Boy falling through the bar), but we can't deny they're perfect distillations of TV humour. The best Monty Python sketches Dead Parrot is well-known but I wouldn't put it in the top 10 even of Python sketches. Here are better ones: The Dirty Fork, Olympic Hide-and-seek, The Spanish Inquisition, Dennis Moore, Four Yorkshiremen, The Argument Clinic. Dav Chaz Substitute Teacher (Key & Peel, 2012) Key and Peele's substitute teacher, far superior. Sid Edmondo The People's Front of Judea (Life of Brian, 1979) How could you possibly leave out the people's Judean Front scene in Monty Python's Life of Brian? Funniest scene of all time. Tim Jeffery Only Fools and Horses and Dad's Army There's more comedy and jokes in one episode of Only Fools and Horses and Dad's Army. G Craven Mark Heap as Dr Alan Statham (Green Wing, 2004–2006) I still think Mark Heap's performance and character, Dr Alan Statham, Consultant Radiologist, in Channel 4's Green Wing is superb. SE Adamson Crossed Lines (The Two Ronnies, 1981) The Two Ronnies were masters at word play and I'd certainly add the 'Crossed Lines' sketch to the others listed below. Duncan Cameron Two Soups (Victoria Wood: As Seen on TV, 1986) Two Soups with Julie Walters playing an elderly waitress. Rosemary Wildish 'Waitress' by Victoria Wood, which most people call 'two soups', with Dame Julie Walters in the eponymous role is hilarious. Vicki Lester Guide Cat (Hale and Pace, 1989) I vote for Hale and Pace, The Guide Cat. Denise Henderson-Cleland 10 Pound Note (Dave Allen, 1972) One sketch by Dave Allen always receives uncontrolled laughter by non-English speakers. I can't remember the name, but it's the one where Allen and about 20 other people are waiting in a cafe for a vehicle owner to return to a car which has a 10 pound note trapped under one wheel. Excellent! Brit In Exile Working Class Playwright (Monty Python, 1969) Morecambe and Wise with 'Andrew Preview' should be at number one, but one of my personal favourites is the Monty Python parody of the 'Working Class Playwright with the Coal Miner Son'. A hilarious parody. Coming from near Barnsley, and a child of the 50 and 60s it never ceases to make me laugh. Trish Beech The Evil Voice (That Mitchell and Webb Look, 2009) No Mitchell and Webb? The Evil Voice sketch is a work of observational genius. David Harris The Breakfast Sketch (Morecambe and Wise, 1976) Morecambe and Wise cooking eggs, one of the funniest sketches ever made. Almost anything with Dave Allen. Helen Walshe Del Boy falls through the Bar (Only Fools and Horses, 1989) Where is the Only Fools And Horses sketch where Del Boy falls through the bar counter that isn't there? Ian Breach Dame Shirley Bassey performs Smoke Gets in Your Eyes (Morecambe and Wise, 1971) Never tire of Shirley Bassey singing Smoke Gets in Your Eye on Morecambe and Wise. Amazing how she got through it without laughing. Chris Dodson The School Master (1979) Rowan Atkinson's schoolteacher taking the register? Dibble? Ponsonby Minor? David David The Fish Slapping Dance (Monty Python, 1971) Loved the Monty Python fish slapping dance. Love the Harry Enfield football sketch, the Arsenal team of 1936 Vs the current day. Pregnant Katherine Ryan 'dejected' at the thought of her baby being a boy
Pregnant comedian Katherine Ryan isn't exactly thrilled about the prospect of having a baby boy. The Canadian star, 42, is currently expecting her fourth child. She is already a proud mum of 16-year-old Violet and her children with Bobby Kootstra: son Fred, four, and daughter Fenna, two. However, she'd seemingly much prefer adding another girl to her brood, having already confirmed that baby number four will be her last. In an appearance on Heart Radio's breakfast show this morning, she confessed to hosts Jamie Theakston and Zoe Hardman that she's been 'antagonised' by men throughout her life. She also joked about youngest Fred being a 'toxic male'. Katherine, who confirmed her pregnancy last month, began: 'I have to say that I can't ever complain post-first trimester. 'I'm quite big, so I think it might be a boy, so I'm feeling dejected about that, because men have just antagonised me all my life, even before they're born.' After welcoming her kids thus far in the order of 'girl, boy, girl,' Katherine said she never finds out her baby's sex beforehand. 'It's always a surprise, and I love that. It's vintage', she stated. The Duchess star then declared that she will inevitably suffer 'gender disappointment' if her little one arrives as a boy. 'I will have it (gender disappointment) this time if it's a boy. You know what it is, my son is a toxic male; he's four years old, and he always wants to fight me,' she shared. Katherine recalled: 'I drove him to nursery the other day; he sat behind me, and he had a sword held to my throat for a while. 'Like, who's giving you weapons?' 'I didn't grow up with brothers, so it's been an adjustment for me,' she admitted. But don't worry, it's all in jest—in true Katherine style, of course—as she assured listeners: 'But I love him; he's a very special guy.' At the end of June, Katherine revealed that she kept her second pregnancy secret out of fear of losing work. She was presenting Ready to Mingle on ITV at the time and was eight months pregnant, which nobody knew. Katherine claimed that she would be unable to get insured during the project if she were pregnant. In an interview with The Sun, she said: 'During my pregnancy, I wasn't telling anyone. You can't get insured on any production if you are pregnant. Sometimes, if you are important enough, they go the extra mile. You see Holly Willoughby pregnant and that's because she's worth it. 'I tried to keep it secret. People just thought I was really fat for ages. I had to keep it quiet. I still needed to work to feed my family.' Katherine added that she didn't want to 'let down a production' if she encountered any complications during pregnancy. The beloved 8 Out of 10 Cats comic has been open about her fertility struggles in the past, having suffered three devastating miscarriages over the span of five years. 'I'm old. I used to think I was going to be the babies' dad because I'm working, but actually I'm like their grandmother,' she told OK! Magazine last November. 'My back hurts; sometimes I give them treats. I'm like a fun grandma.' The beloved stand-up star, who frequently uses the ups and downs of parenting for material in her routines, admitted that she'd been deterred from expanding her family after learning the shocking statistics about pregnancy. I've been pregnant five times in five years, but that also means I've had three miscarriages in five years,' she said, adding that the likelihood of miscarriage increases as a woman gets older. 'You have to find a balance between what you can personally stand and risks you're willing to take.' When confirming that she won't be having any more kids now, she told the Telling Everyone Everything podcast that while she 'loves making people' with partner Bobby, she believes it would be 'almost irresponsible to the children that [they] have and to [themselves]' should they continue.
