Samsung tri-fold appears in One UI 8 code
These show the device's design, which includes three rear panels and two inward folding hinges. The more interesting bit is that the hinges on Samsung's tri-fold feature different sizes and will reportedly fold inwards instead of the outward folding approach seen on Huawei's Mate XT.
This means Samsung's device will have to be unfolded from right to left as shown in the following animation.
A separate video shows a warning not to fold the right side of the device (which has the three rear cameras on its back) inward, as that may end up breaking the display.
The device features a cover screen that will reside in the middle when the main folding screen is fully open.
Samsung's tri-fold is referred to as Multifold 7 in the One UI 8 code, while previous rumors suggest it is called Q7M internally. While its commercial name is not finalized, previous reports point to it being called Galaxy G Fold.
According to previous leaks, Samsung's first tri-fold device will feature a 9.96" folding screen and a 6.54" cover display. It is expected to weigh around 300 grams and may only launch in South Korea and China.

The triple 50MP camera has a large 1/1.3' main sensor, but the 3x periscope has a smaller sensor than the Phone (3a) Pro (1/2.75' vs. 1/1.95'). The battery is 5,150mAh in most of the world and 5,500mAh in India – in either case you are looking at 65W wired and 15W wireless charging. The dust and water resistance is the best of any Nothing phone so far but it's still only IP68. Those are not exactly flagship specs, are they? So far, Nothing phones have been better value for money than much of the competition, but the same can't be said of the Phone (3). How much does that dot matrix display on the back cost, anyway? Latest report sheds light on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra's telephoto camera
Sagar, 05 July 2025 A few days ago, we heard that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a 200MP primary camera. Now, a new report by the same source, GalaxyClub, sheds light on the Galaxy S26 Ultra's telephoto unit. The Dutch publication claims that one of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra's telephoto cameras will have a 50MP resolution. It will be a periscope telephoto unit offering 5x optical zoom. Well, that's the same camera Samsung used in last year's Galaxy S25 Ultra. Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra The second telephoto camera on the Galaxy S25 Ultra had a 10MP resolution and 3x optical zoom; however, rumors suggested that the S26 Ultra's second telephoto camera would use a 200MP sensor. We'll have to wait for multiple reliable sources to corroborate that to be sure. Here are the latest rumored battery specs and IP ratings for 2025 Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 models
We've got some big-name phones coming to the U.S. marketplace over the next three months. Let's start with the foldable trio made up of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Believe it or not, next Wednesday, July 9th, Samsung will unveil the latest iteration of its foldable models. As we told you the other day, reliable leaker Steve says that pre-orders will begin on the same day at 3 PM EDT. The phones will supposedly ship starting on July 25th. According to a new report, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the lower priced Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE (Fan Edition) will carry Ingress Protection ratings of IP 48. That matches the IP rating of last year's Galaxy Z Flip 6 and indicates that as a clamshell foldable, Samsung has not been able to make the device impervious to dust. The report says to also expect an IP48 Ingress P rotection rating for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 which is the same exact IP rating that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 had. So all three of Sammy's new foldables will carry IP48 ratings. What does this mean? I'll tell you. The IP 48 rating is broken down to two different components. The "4" is for dust ingress and means that the phones are protected against solid objects larger than 1mm like larger particles but not fine dust. The "8" for water protection allows the Galaxy Z Flip 7 , Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE and Galaxy Z Fold 7 can be submerged in fresh water to a depth of 1.5 meters (nearly 5 feet) for no longer than 30 minutes and emerge unscathed. The rated battery capacity for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 , according to a tweet from the aforementioned Steve will be 4272 mAh. That will match last year's model and will provide a maximum 40 hours and 28 minutes between charges. Leaker says that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will have a rated battery capacity of 4174 mAh and supply juice for a maximum of 42 hours and 4 minutes. The Galaxy Z Flip FE will feature a rated battery capacity of 3,887 mAh with maximum time between charges of 37 hours. The Galaxy Z Flip 3,4,5, and 6 were the top selling foldable models over the last four years. This year, the clamshell has competition from the beefed up Razr Ultra from Motorola. After Samsung releases its new foldables, Google is expected to release the Pixel 10 line on August 28th.
