Sir Elton John has seemingly waded into the Beckham family dynamics by publicly paying tribute to his godson Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola. Brooklyn, 26, posted a romantic social media post, marking five years since he and Nicola, 30, got engaged - which prompted a heartfelt response from Sir Elton.
The Rocket Man singer, who is also godfather to Romeo Beckham, tagged the couple and wrote: "Happy Anniversary to the sweetest, most loving couple," accompanied by red heart emojis.
A long-time friend of the Beckhams, Sir Elton has been a constant presence in the family's life and is affectionately referred to as Uncle Elton by their children.
His Instagram post comes in the wake of a rumoured dispute between some members of the Beckham family and Brooklyn and Nicola, who recently bought a large home in Los Angeles.
While none of the family have publicly spoken about the speculated issues, Brooklyn and Nicola have been notably absent from various milestone family events this year, in particular David's 50th birthday celebrations in May, and his long-awaited knighthood from King Charles this month.

Eagle-eyed fans have also noted multiple cryptic comments on social media from the famous family during the past few months that seemingly allude to a rift.
Brooklyn did not respond to David's father's day message last month, which said: "I will always be there, no matter what" alongside snaps of the whole family, including Victoria, Brooklyn, and his younger siblings Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13.
He added: "My most important & favourite job in life is being a dad... I'm so proud of all of you and like daddy (sorry boys) tells you every single day I will always be here for you no matter what...
"Mummy thank you for doing the most important part and making me a father there is no greater gift in life than making me a dad... Happy Father's Day... I love you kiddies more than you could imagine."
On Monday, Brooklyn's younger brother, Cruz, appeared to aim a dig at his sibling after a follower asked on TikTok: "Are you going to stick with this job or going to become a race car driver next or something?" Cruz was quick to retort with: "Wrong brother, mate."
The cheeky remark from Cruz comes after fans have poked fun at Brooklyn for changing his career ambitions over the years, from wanting to become a photographer, to developing a passion for cooking.

Before I went on Love Island, I used to heavily edit my photos and shrink my waist. Whereas, when you're in front of a camera, you can't hide. Did you feel like people in the All Stars villa knew how to play the game and weren't taking part to find love? Yeah, I definitely think some people did. I remember having a conversation with one particular person in the All Stars villa and I was honestly just trying to have a genuine conversation with them. They said to me, 'Oh no, you're not doing this conversation right, you're mentioning the fourth wall.' They said that we needed to 'redo' the conversation. It wasn't even one of the producers who said that – it was a cast member. I realised people were actually thinking like that. I just went in as me because I don't think anything else would have worked for me. Do you think it's still possible to begin a long-lasting relationship in the villa or is it now more of a platform to find fame? I would say it's evolved more into that now, yes, because I think people are very aware that you go on the show and you get a certain following and it does open up opportunities and doors for you. I would say it's maybe more evolved into that now than the first season, but I wouldn't paint everyone with the same brush and say everyone's in it for the fame. I still think people do go into the villa open to finding love. Were there any challenges you experienced, returning to normality after you left Love Island for the first time? The welfare team really supports you during your time on the show and after the show, when you return home. For me, the difficulty was coming out. Never compromise your happiness for fame and money. You do get a bit love-bombed by the show. Obviously, you're busy when you come out and it's this crazy whirlwind, but it calms down. From the start, I'd say do not compare yourself to anyone else because everyone else's journey in the industry is different. When I came out, I had times where I was told to wear designer bags more to elevate my image. That just wasn't me – no thanks. What advice would you give any prospective Islanders? Just be yourself. I've been there and I've seen people be themselves and it works out for them a lot better than the people who try to pretend or play up to the camera in some way. Also, the public are not stupid. So just be yourself and you'll get further down the line. Some people's experiences are that you go in and find love and end up in a long-lasting relationship, like Alex and Olivia [Bowen], Indiyah [Polack] and Dami [Hope] – they're all still in very happy relationships. You can be open to that aspect, but I wouldn't go in with that expectation.
