LITTLE MIX may have been one of X Factor's most successful acts, but stardom came at a cost for Jade Thirlwall.
The girlband, Jade, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson, racked up 19 top ten singles including FIVE No1s, since their talent show triumph.

But now she feels like she 'sold her soul' to make her dream of being a singer come true.
Jade is one of four celebrities on ITV's new entertainment series The Assembly, where she was questioned by interviewers who are autistic, neurodivergent or learning disabled — with no topics off limits.
But Jade, who has embarked on a solo career, was left stumped when one man asked her if she regretted selling her soul by finding fame on the talent show back in 2011.
Struggling to answer diplomatically, before comparing herself to Marvel superhero Thanos, she confessed: 'You've trumped me . . . Maybe a little bit in the beginning.
'I was so young and I just signed on the dotted line.
'But as the years have gone by I've learned more and more about the industry.
'I've been collecting — a bit like Thanos with the stones — I've been collecting parts of my soul back as I've gained more creative freedom.'
Asked if she thought it was the 'end of Simon Cowell', she continued: 'I think it's the end of that kind of TV show or music label.
'I think it's the end of that era.
'But I don't know if Simon Cowell specifically has ended.'
Watch as Jade Thirlwall takes a swipe at Simon Cowell in debut solo single
Jade's debut solo track Angel Of My Dreams was a pointed dig at Simon and the music industry.
In the episode, which airs on ITV1 at 10pm this Sunday, another inquisitive fan referenced her part-Egyptian heritage before asking: 'Were the pyramids created by aliens?'
Suggesting she does believe there's something fishy about them, the It Girl singer said: 'I don't know if I'm qualified.
'I mean, something spectacular made them because if you watch those documentaries, we can't actually explain it right.
'And because they're dotted all over the world, not just Egypt, you've got them in Mexico.
'This pyramid shape, what does it mean?'
Alien Hunting with Jade Thirlwall, now that's a show ITV should commission.

This Saturday, she will play a massive show on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, with hundreds of thousands of fans expected to turn out for it.
We'll have to wait until September for Gaga to arrive in the UK for her shows in London and Manchester.
But the photos and videos from her recent gigs have certainly been enough to make me go gaga for Gaga!

SYDNIE'S VE VERA TRIBUTE
BRITAIN'S Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas is celebrating VE Day by releasing a special version of Vera Lynn's emotional classic We'll Meet Again.

It's even more poignant for Sydnie as two of her great-grandfathers served in the war, while her great-uncles fought and died in France.
Pubs are also set to be open longer to help Brits mark the anniversary and I'll be raising a pint or two.

She is returning with a brand new album, Love In Real Life, this summer – three years after one of my favourite ever records, Special.
Lizzo said: 'I feel like my albums don't outshine my hits yet, and I really wanna create a body of work that is as good as the hit song.
'And I feel like a lot of people, they get hung up on Juice or Truth Hurts or Good As Hell.
'I want people to really get into the body [of work].
'I put so much of my heart and soul and time and musicality and, like, musical knowledge and instrumentation into these albums.
'The goal for this album is to be as loved as the biggest hit.'

'They both have podcast experience and decided to come up with their own new show.
'Roman and Tom have a riot when they're together and they both bring out each other's fun sides.
'They are hoping to launch it later this summer before things kick off work wise for Tom with his arena tour, which is his biggest to date.'
TV's One Show presenter Roman has spent the past few weeks hanging out with his sister, country singer Harley Moon, as they took part in Celebrity Race Across The World.
The pair secretly filmed for the celebrity spin off of the BBC series in a mystery location where they went head-to-head with other stars to reach the final check point.
Tom is gearing up for his mammoth tour, which kicks off on September 3 in Bournemouth.
Before that the Little Bit Of Love singer has got a busy summer ahead with a huge performance at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Liverpool.
Tickets are still available for the Friday May 23 show, with Tom performing alongside Biffy Clyro, The Wombats and Natasha Bedingfield.

It doesn't look like the most comfortable outfit though, especially not for energetic dance moves.
So no wonder she has a load of costume changes at her shows.

Shirtless Tinie Tempah displays his muscular physique on the beach in Mallorca ahead of Love Island appearance - as he prepares for musical comeback

Tinie Tempah showcased his muscular physique as he enjoyed a day at the beach in Mallorca, Spain on Monday. The rapper, 36, has flown to the Spanish island to make a musical appearance on Love Island. Ahead of going into the villa, Tinie enjoyed some down time as he went surfing with a friend to make the most of his trip. The hitmaker displayed his gym-honed physique in black shorts and he also sported a loose-fitting white T-shirt and a pair of sunglasses. Tinie, whose real name is Patrick Okogwu, will perform his new single Eat It Up on Tuesday's episode of Love Island. The rapper, 36, has flown to the Spanish island to make a musical appearance on Love Island The Spanish villa will be transformed into a full on festival wonderland, giving the Islanders the chance to let loose and celebrate their summer of love in style with music, dancing, and all the big Love Island energy. ITV producers have also booked Tinie to perform, with the Islanders having no idea of his planned set until he arrived at the villa. It comes after Tinie announced his return to music 'to save Britain's clubs' after quitting 'to change nappies and raise his kids' during an appearance on This Morning. The singer appeared on the ITV chat show on Friday to mark his industry comeback, nearly ten years after his last album Youth in 2017. The artist, whose new single Eat It Up came out on Thursday, told presenters Dermot O'Leary, 52, and Sian Welby, 38, what he has been up to - and his current plans. The Pass Out hitmaker explained his hiatus: 'I basically stepped back a bit just to settle down, have kids, all that stuff, do the school run, change nappies.' And he used his appearance on the sofa to spread the word about preserving British nightlife and music venues, which have been in decline since the pandemic. Tinie married artist Eve De Haan in 2019, the daughter of the Saga insurance firm's former owner Sir Roger De Haan. They share two daughters, born in 2018 and 2021. The rapper told Dermot and Sian: 'I was watching my kids grow up and I was thinking, "Wow, they're actually not going to be able to experience me in some of these venues that maybe my siblings did or friends that I grew up with did. '"I need to do this for them".' During his break from making music, he also bought a recording studio in London to support other rappers and singers. He explained: 'Seeing all these incredible artists coming in and out of my studio and hearing their bangers, I was doing DIY, painting the walls, sanding the floors, and people are making bangers. 'And I was like, "I'm not a carpenter, I need to get back on to the music!"' Tinie said his return to the industry was also 'really motivated by the landscape of where we were economically'. He pointed out how since gigs stopped and event spaces closed during the Covid pandemic, the nation has lost around three venues a month. A staggering 480 clubs vanished between June 2020 and September 2024, according to figures from the Night Time Industries Association. Even the capital was hit hard, going from 200 venues in 2020 to just 143 four years later. An association spokesman has previously said: ''The rapid decline is devastating for our economy. 'Without urgent Government intervention, we risk losing a key part of the UK's cultural identity in dance music.' It has a bigger effect than on just artists, Tinie emphasised: 'If you think about the bouncer that works there, the barmaid, the person that's working at the cloakroom, there's a little cottage economy in there. 'So, I think the best thing people can do is just keep attending, keep going.' The musician continued: 'I know there's so many other things going on in the world that we should be concerned about. 'However, as an artist, I'm thinking of the next generation of acts and I'm thinking if they don't have the same venues that I did, now they have virtually no venues, how are we going to get all these exciting genres like drum and bass and garage and grime and house music that were birthed out of these spaces?' Tinie added it is especially important 'in a time of division': 'As simple as it is, music brings joy, it brings people together and so we need to preserve these spaces. 'And I'm hoping that my little voice can start off hopefully a domino effect of other artists identifying the problem and being a voice as well.' He concluded: 'Let's keep some of these institutions alive because that's what they are, some of these places are institutions. 'I hear people that are in their fifties and sixties talk about the Hacienda [club in Manchester] and we need venues like that that we'll be talking about for years to come.'

BBC's Celebrity Traitors is ‘blowing a whopping £760,000 on cast salaries'

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video The amount of money that the cast of Celebrity Traitors is being paid has reportedly been revealed ahead of the launch of the BBC series. Later this year, the celebrity iteration of the gripping gameshow is making its highly anticipated debut, boasting an array of high-profile British stars in the line-up. Comedian Alan Carr, singer Charlotte Church, presenter Stephen Fry and Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway are among those who'll be going head to head as either Traitors or Faithfuls, in the hope of winning £100,000 for their chosen charity. However, aside from one of them being awarded money for a worthy cause, it's also been claimed that each of them is being paid a significant salary to take part. On the latest episode of the podcast The Rest Is Entertainment, hosts Marina Hyde and Richard Osman spoke about the fees that the A-listers are receiving when they enter the castle with host Claudia Winkleman. 'It's certainly interesting to compare something like Celebrity Traitors on the BBC to I'm a Celebrity on ITV. Although we haven't seen the celebrity iteration yet, but we know it's gonna be massive. Look at the calibre of the people they got,' journalist Marina remarked. We don't have a fixed release date yet, but Celebrity Traitors is coming to BBC One and BBC iPlayer this autumn. We'll update you when we know more! Comedian Alan Carr Singer and songwriter Cat Burns Actor Celia Imrie Singer Charlotte Church Broadcaster Clare Balding Historian David Olusoga Former England rugby player Joe Marler Comedian Joe Wilkinson Presenter Jonathan Ross Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway Comedian Lucy Beaumont Actor Mark Bonnar Actor and comedian Nick Mohammed Content creator Niko Omilana Singer and songwriter Paloma Faith Actor Ruth Codd Actor and presenter Stephen Fry Actor and comedian Tameka Empson Former professional diver Tom Daley The prize money for winning Celebrity Traitors will be £100,000, which will go the the charity of the winner's choosing. After Richard revealed that he's spoken to someone who's seen the first episode, and has heard that it's 'apparently amazing', Marina shed further light on the fees. I am spilling all my tea today. They're paying them a 40k fee,' she shared. If everyone in this year's series of Celebrity Traitors cast is receiving a blanket fee of £40,000, this would mean that at least £760,000 is being dished out on the stars taking part. This would also mean that the amount being paid to the celebrities is seven times greater than the £100,000 prize pot that'll be going to charity. However, these reported salaries are still far lower than the fees that are paid to stars who take part in ITV's I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! In 2024, it was claimed that Coleen Rooney had received the highest paycheck for entering the jungle, taking home a reported £1.5million. Former professional boxer Barry McGuigan is said to have received £500,000 for his stint on the show, while Harry Redknapp, who was crowned the King of the Jungle in his season, also apparently was paid the same amount. It was recently claimed that the cast of Celebrity Traitors faced a unique problem during filming, when members of the crew initially refused to tell them the time when they asked. More Trending 'When we were in the castle, you'd be like, 'What's the time?' And they'd say, 'It's Traitors time.' That was their response,' said Ted Lasso star Nick Mohammed on The Comedian's Comedian Podcast. 'Every single member of production had to answer with that until someone kicked off. And then someone said it is basically alright, and you can tell us the time.' Metro has contacted the BBC for comment. Is Princess Anne the secret weapon to finally heal rift between Harry, Charles and Wills?

A commemorative coin has been issued to celebrate the hard working princess' birthday ANNE'S AMMO Is Princess Anne the secret weapon to finally heal rift between Harry, Charles and Wills? PRINCESS Anne has long been hailed the hardest working royal - and could now prove vital in Harry and Charles' peace talks. It is understood that the Duke of Sussex is ready to talk with his father, the King, after a recent peace summit between their senior aides. 5 The Princess Royal has been working for more than seven decades Credit: AFP 5 In the run up to Anne's 75th birthday she has been branded 'the ultimate uncomplaining spare' Credit: Getty A working royal all of her life, Anne has been tipped by royal watchers as having a role to play in the peace-building between Harry and his family. The Princess Royal is thought to have some useful advice to offer Harry on life as a "spare" in the royal family. When Harry's notorious book released a friend of the royal family reportedly said 'He really ought to talk to Princess Anne' after the novel revealed Harry's issues with his brother William. It comes as the feud between the Duke of Sussex and the few remaining working royals appears to be coming to an end. Meetings between the Sussex's team and senior aides to the king were held, sparking rumours that a potential reconciliation was on the table. Despite the hopeful signs, William's aides were snubbed from the meeting leading to speculation that the rift between the brothers may never be repaired. California-based Harry is next due to visit the UK in September for the annual WellChild events. It opens up the prospect of meeting his father for the first time in 18 months, though no indication of a meeting with his brother William has been given. The Princess Royal has been branded the "ultimate uncomplaining spare" in a comparison to her nephew Harry. Both the princess and the Duke have had to deal with being second to older brothers. King Charles braves the chill with Princess Anne as pair wrap up warm & greet well-wishers at Sandringham church service Royal watchers have theorised that a sit down with Anne, who has forged her own path as a dutiful and dedicated royal, could be beneficial for the Duke of Sussex as he makes an effort to repair things with his family. Now a source close to the royal family has told The Times that Anne could offer some words of wisdom to her nephew. The source said: "She often talked about how, as children, she was treated so differently from Charles. "She was second to him and kicked further down the line of succession as a woman, but she forged her own path. 5 The duke of Sussex has been feuding with his brother and father for years Credit: AFP 5 It was reported that a reconciliation between the Duke and his father the King could be in the works Credit: Getty 5 Princess Anne is theorised to have a roll to play in the reconciliation between Harry and the working royals Credit: AP "In her twenties she was bolshy and upset about a lot of things, but she came through that. "He should talk to her about her experiences. She is shrewd. She could tell him a lot about what she went through.' Anne reportedly doesn't plan to retire until her tenth decade, following in Prince Phillip's footsteps. A dutiful and hard working member of the royal family, Anne overcame an injury just last year and returned to her duties just a few weeks later. The Princess Royal, 74 at the time, was admitted to intensive care last June with head injuries and a concussion after reportedly being kicked in the head by a horse at her Gatacombe Park estate in Gloucestershire. She was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for tests and treatment before returning to her duties that July. Anne has been almost unstoppable for more than seven decades now, working nearly without pause. The Princess Royal has not offered her thoughts on the rift caused by Harry's departure from life as a working royal and the controversies that came with it. Sister to the king, she set to spend her birthday next month as she always does - sailing with her husband around Scotland for just ten days. After this brief period she will return to her work as a senior member of the royal family. Anne is reportedly notorious among her aides for resisting attempts to create downtime for her. Shying away from attempts to celebrate her in the run up to her 75th birthday Anne instead opted to celebrate more than 100 of the 400 charities she is a patron of. The Princess Royal hosted more than 100 of her charities at a Buckingham Palace reception last month as part of her birthday celebrations. Aside from the reception, Anne has accepted the issuing of a silver coin to commemorate the momentous occasion. Released last week the coin features the Princess Royal's face and the words "The Princess Royal. Celebrating 75 years. Duty and devotion.'
