Our Yorkshire Farm fans react after Reuben Owen series announcement

Daily Mirror11-05-2025
Our Yorkshire Farm star Reuben Owen has been inundated with messages following an update on his solo series
Our Yorkshire Farm enthusiasts are over the moon as Reuben Owen is set to grace their screens in his own series later this month.
An excited fan posted on a Facebook page that Reuben: Life in the Dales will return on May 20.

The post read: "The second series of Reuben - Life in the Dales returns for another series on Tuesday, May 20, on Channel 5. The first episode of this series is on the same day as the fourth episode of Our Farm Next Door."

Additionally, they expressed anticipation: "It is going to be brilliant."
One follower eagerly responded, "Great, looking forward to this," reports Leeds Live. Another exclaimed, "Can't wait to see Reuben."
A third chimed in, "Can't believe Reuben is 21 already."
Elsewhere, someone else was thrilled, saying, "I can't wait to see the new series with Reuben," and yet another person commented, "Great news! I've been hoping for a new series.
"Just what we need, more Reuben! Missed your shows, excited it's coming back," a comment read.

Previously, Reuben caused quite a stir among fans when off-stage photos surfaced online last month.
Caught on camera in Whitby, Reuben was seen visiting a beloved fish and chip shop, which proudly shared snaps featuring him, Jessica, his partner, and colleagues on its Facebook page.

These candid shots, capturing Reuben and friends smiling during a filming break, were also circulated on an Owen family fan page.
With evident enthusiasm, the photo caption stated: "It was great to have Reuben and his crew in today filming and catching a bite to eat."
The announcement post revealed their escapades: "After spending some time filming on the beach, they joined our chefs in the kitchen for some more filming before enjoying some food."

The update concluded, "You can check out what they got up to on Reuben: Life in the Dales on Channel 5."
Reuben first captured hearts on Our Yorkshire Farm with his family - parents Amanda and Clive Owen, and his brood of eight siblings.
Following the wrap-up of that show, he appeared on a programme with his father, Clive, and later embarked on solo ventures. Not to be outdone, the Owens have also kicked off another series, Our Farm Next Door, featuring their efforts to refurbish Anty John's.

Welsh rock legend Dave Edmunds seriously ill in hospital after cardiac arrest

Welsh musician Dave Edmunds is gravely ill in intensive care following a cardiac arrest, according to his wife. The Cardiff-born performer, aged 81, reportedly died before being brought back to life, the Express reported. His spouse of 40 years, Cecilia Edmunds, known as Cici, posted a heartfelt message on Facebook describing the terrifying ordeal at their Rockfield home in Monmouthshire. Cici explained how she fought to "keep him alive" whilst a nurse administered "heavy CPR" on Dave at their residence. Cici recalled the nurse's devastating words: "Cici I'm gonna stop. Dave is gone. He is dead." Cici says she refused to give up on her husband and asked fans to send prayers and messages of support for Dave, who is critically ill in hospital. She revealed that he has suffered significant brain damage and memory loss, and is at a "high risk" of experiencing another cardiac arrest. She said: "I'm still in shock and I believe I have PTSD from the horrific experience. My brilliant talented funny and special Dave could really use as many peoples prayers and good wishes so to speak." "Thank you all for your support and well wishes. It means the world to me. Dave will have a very long journey ahead of him if he survives. We both have. "But knowing that there are kind hearted people such as you all. Makes this tremendously difficult journey a little easier. Bless you all. Sending you all much love and light and always." Fans have been sending their best wishes and support. One said: "All my love, support and prayers to Dave, and please stay on your road to recovery, Cici." Another shared: "Deepest heartfelt prayers for Dave, praying for a miracle." He enjoyed numerous chart successes during the 1970s and early 1980s with songs such as Slipping Away, The Promised Land and Girls Talk. Dave established Love Sculpture, releasing their first single in 1968, before pursuing a solo career and collaborating with notable artists including Sir Paul McCartney and Nick Lowe. Dave wed his Swedish wife Cici in 1983, and the couple now live in their home Monmouth.
