Parineeti Chopra recalls post-wedding kitchen mishap on The Great Indian Kapil Show as Raghav Chadha jokes: 'Nakal main bhi akal chahiye.'
Actor Parineeti Chopra and politician-husband Raghav Chadha recently brought their real-life chemistry and comic timing to The Great Indian Kapil Show, where they opened up about their early days of marriage, kitchen mishaps, and the constant media buzz about Parineeti's supposed political debut.
When Kapil Sharma cheekily asked Parineeti if someone offered her a party ticket at her wedding, she laughed and said, 'The media keeps telling me to join politics now. They don't know that I even had to Google about being a Member of Parliament. They think I will join politics, but I don't think so."
Reflecting on their wedding, she added, 'Our wedding was quite fun because people from two different worlds came together, and our guests loved interacting with each other."
But the highlight of the conversation was when Parineeti shared a hilarious anecdote about her first few days as a new bride. She recalled how she was taken by surprise when she was asked to make halwa shortly after the wedding.
'I didn't even know how to make a toast. I had to Google how to make halwa, and later I took help from my mother-in-law. I thought it would be a romantic moment to serve Raghav this halwa in the evening. He came, had it, and I was waiting for feedback."
Unfortunately, the romantic plan didn't quite go as expected. Raghav, unaware that the halwa had been made by Parineeti, praised his mother instead. 'Nakal mein bhi akal chahiye, thoda sa toh badal dete," he quipped, leaving the audience in splits.
Raghav also shared another heartwarming moment from their early married life, 'Two-three days after our wedding, when I returned from office, I was looking for Pari and my mom. I couldn't find them, but after some time, I saw they were together in the kitchen, reorganizing everything. She reorganized the entire kitchen."
To this, Parineeti proudly added, 'Main ne Bombay ki laaj rakh li."
Raghav's mother, who was also present during the shoot, chimed in with her own story, revealing how friends and family would drop by their house just to get a picture with the Bollywood star.
Interestingly, the episode was filmed weeks ago amid reports that Parineeti and Raghav had to leave midway due to Raghav's mother being rushed to the hospital. Thankfully, all is well now—and this episode captures the endearing blend of laughter, adjustment, and love in their newly married life.

Kannada Actor Santhosh Balaraj Passes Away At 34 After Bout Of Jaundice

Following his father's footsteps, Santhosh Balaraj took forward the family's cinematic legacy, carving a space for himself in Kannada cinema with a series of impactful performances The Kannada film industry is in mourning following the death of actor Santhosh Balaraj, who passed away on Tuesday morning at the age of 34. Known for his roles in action thrillers like Kariya 2 and Gunpa, Santhosh had reportedly been battling jaundice for several weeks. Despite ongoing medical treatment, his condition worsened and he died at around 9:45 am in a private hospital in Bengaluru. He was admitted to the ICU in his final days. Santhosh Balaraj was widely regarded as one of the rising stars. His sudden death has triggered an outpouring of grief across the industry and among fans, many of whom followed his work closely and believed he was on the cusp of a major breakthrough. He was the son of well-known Kannada filmmaker Anekal Balaraj, who produced the 2003 cult film Kariya, which starred Darshan in the lead role. Anekal Balraj himself had died in a tragic road accident in 2022. Following his father's footsteps, Santhosh took forward the family's cinematic legacy, carving a space for himself in Kannada cinema with a series of impactful performances. Santhosh lived with his mother and was unmarried. Known for his humility and dedication to his craft, his death has come as a shock to friends, colleagues, and fans alike. His breakout role came in 2015 with the film Gunpa, directed by Prabhu Srinivas. The action thriller was a box office success and cemented his image as a dependable lead actor in the genre. Gunpa drew parallels to Kariya, the very film that brought his father fame, both in tone and treatment, and was seen as a symbolic continuation of the cinematic tradition he inherited. Earlier, in 2012, Santhosh starred in the romantic drama Olvin Ole, alongside Neha Patil. Directed by Teshi Venkatesh, the film showcased a different side of his acting range. In 2013, he appeared in Janam, playing the lead role of Kanteerava, a man in love with Kaveri amid fierce family opposition. The film, directed by Chakravarthy, was praised for its storyline and emotional depth. His final appearance was in Kariya 2, a 2017 action gangster film that carried the weight of his father's legacy and his own stardom. Though he had fewer releases in the years that followed, he remained an admired figure in the younger generation of actors. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Rubina Dilaik Backs Deepika Padukone On 8-Hour Shift Demand: ‘Everyone Should Get Time To Rest'

Rubina Dilaik supports Deepika Padukone's demand for 8-hour work shifts, saying everyone deserves rest and creative work thrives with respectful hours. Rubina Dilaik is one of television's most loved actresses, known for being vocal about her opinions and points of view. Recently, she spoke up about one of the most discussed topics in the industry right now, the demand for fixed working hours. The debate began when Deepika Padukone exited Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Prabhas' project, Spirit. Rubina backed Deepika and stated that she has been struggling with the issue of long working hours since the beginning of her career. 'This (working hours) has been a struggle even when I was new to the industry, but very rarely are we heard. If we voice our concern about it, then it becomes news… but working hours have to be respectful," she told PTI in an interview. She further added, 'I'm not saying this because I'm an actor. If I become a producer, I shall ensure that my people work within eight hours. I'll create a system wherein we do meaningful and good work within eight hours, and it's a win-win for everyone." Rubina also said that Deepika's demand is very realistic. 'I'm not saying that the producer or the network should lose money. Everyone should get time to rest because their creativity will flourish. Having said that, Deepika Padukone has not made an unrealistic demand." Bollywood's ongoing debate over work hours For the unversed, the debate over work hours in Bollywood gained traction after Deepika Padukone's departure from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film Spirit. Reports claimed that the actress, who recently embraced motherhood, had requested to limit her workday to eight hours, a clause that reportedly didn't sit well with the filmmaker. Several celebrities, including Vikrant Massey, Rashmika Mandanna, Neha Dhupia, Anurag Basu, and others, came out in support of Deepika amid the ongoing discussion.
