That was proving too rich for Real Betis but fellow LaLiga side Celta Vigo are in the mix, armed with cash from the sale of Fer Lopez to Wolves.
Leeds need to boost their kitty to make a new bid to land Fulham's Brazilian hitman Rodrigo Muniz, 24.
Joseph's father is a cousin of former England striker Emile Heskey, but despite his dad's English family, Joseph was born in Spain.
The 21-year-old grew up in Santander, where he joined the academy of LaLiga 2 outfit Real Racing Club.
After impressing in their youth set-up, Joseph left home at just 13 to move to the city of Barcelona and join the academy at Espanyol.
The centre-forward spent six years with the Catalan club before leaving Spain for Leeds United when his deal with Espanyol expired in 2022.
Since joining Leeds, the 21-year-old has been a mainstay in the team. Last season, he played 39 Championship games, scoring three goals as Leeds secured promotion back to the Premier League.
But promotion means they must now invest heavily and are looking to cash in on the Spain Under-21 striker to fund other deals.

They have been strongly linked with Fulham's Brazilian hitman, Muniz, and even though the player is open to a move, they must meet Fulham's £50million asking price.
In the last two seasons, all six teams promoted from the Championship faced relegation, and Leeds manager Daniel Farke is determined to build a team that avoids the same fate.
They have already agreed a deal for £17.4m with Hoffenheim midfielder Anton Stach.

Everest windows review: best installer for transparent pricing

When choosing a company to install new double glazing, transparent pricing and reliable guarantees are key considerations. In this Everest windows review, we examine one of the UK's most well-known double glazing installers, assessing its current reputation, pricing transparency, and product quality to help you make an informed decision. We know that the cost of double glazing is a significant investment, and that is why we recommend comparing multiple quotes from installers to secure the most competitive price. Factors influencing the cost of double glazing should include window style, material, location, and the installer's reputation. In our detailed Everest windows review, we consider essential elements such as pricing, guarantees, national coverage, and customer feedback. For a comprehensive overview of other installers and typical UK window prices, check our broader list of the best double glazing companies. Why choose Everest? Everest is a familiar brand to many, thanks to memorable TV campaigns in the 1980s and 2000s featuring installations at the Tan Hill Inn, Britain's highest pub. But the company has had a troubled history in recent years, entering administration in both 2020, during the Covid lockdowns, and again in 2024. Everest is now under the ownership of Anglian Home Improvements. Its financial instability previously left some customers with unfulfilled warranties and the inability to cancel orders. Fortunately, Everest's new owners honoured purchases made just before the collapse. Everest provides a broad selection of window options, including uPVC, timber, and aluminium. Its user-friendly website also lists doors and conservatories. Despite this, Everest's financial troubles and mixed customer reviews rank it lowest among the companies we've evaluated. However, a significant positive for Everest is its transparent pricing guide, a rarity in the industry and indeed unlike any other firm we have reviewed. Standard uPVC casement windows range from £700 to £1,800 per window. Sash windows typically cost around 50 per cent more, tilt-and-turn models 25 per cent more, bay windows 150 per cent more, aluminium frames about 25 per cent more, and timber around 50 per cent more than uPVC. Readers should note that these prices are the company's asking prices and should be taken as a starting point for negotiations. Buyers should view these as a starting point and aim to negotiate downwards by 25 to 50 per cent, particularly if paying upfront or commissioning additional work. Everest says its windows are now triple-glazed as standard, enhancing heat retention but adding approximately 10 to 20 per cent to the overall cost. Financing options are available through Everest, but with a steep interest rate of 12.9 per cent, it is advisable to consider using savings or exploring loans from high-street lenders offering significantly lower rates. Pros: Transparent pricing Triple glazing as standard for uPVC Cons: Expensive Mixed customer reviews Went under twice in recent years What to look for in a quote Based on our research, fitting new double-glazed uPVC windows in an average three-bedroom hom e should cost approximately £4,500. Location, window sizes, and styles will affect this price. It's important to haggle. Windows are more of a buyers' market because, unless the panes themselves are broken, it's a purchase you can put off, at least for a little while. This gives you the upper hand and allows some time to research the best price and options. Depending on the installer and how tricky your installation is, you may be able to shave up to half off the initial quote you are given. This may seem unlikely, but it's true. Given the competitiveness of the double glazing market, buyers have considerable leverage to negotiate. Take your time and do thorough research to secure the best price. Quotes from larger installers may initially be inflated, relying on consumer hesitation to negotiate. However, smaller installers, eager to secure business, may have less room to offer discounts. Seek personal recommendations when possible. Companies that provide fair pricing and reliable service for others will likely offer the same to you. How we made this guide We spoke to customers and fitters across the UK, as well as insiders in the double glazing market to find you the average prices for windows of all styles. They gave us tips on how to negotiate and save money and they told us never to say yes to the first quote you are offered. Why trust us? The Independent has been reporting on green energy and climate matters since it was founded in 1986. Since then, we have written hundreds of reviews and news stories on energy, including the best window fitters, the best window finance and other guides on green power. FAQs While double glazing is the usual choice for a home outside of a heavily restricted planning area, triple glazing could be a good option for some buyers, especially those in windy locations or those on busy, noisy roads. Expect to pay 15-30 percent more than for double glazing. These windows are heavier and available in fewer styles. Finding triple glazed windows in timber and aluminium is difficult. What is the average cost for double glazing? The average cost of a new set of eight uPVC windows for an average three-bedroom home in the UK is currently about £4,500, according to research by The Independent. The price you will pay for a new set of double glazing depends heavily on the style, materials, colours and glazing type of your windows, together with how many you need and where you are in the country. Most buyers opt for white uPVC, which is a type of plastic. It does not rust or rot, an advantage over wood, and it is cheaper than aluminium, the other popular low-maintenance material. It also doesn't bend like aluminium can. Pros:

Alexander Isak's agent addresses transfer speculation after Celtic omission

Alexander Isak 's agent has addressed the rumours over his client's future amid transfer interest in the Newcastle United forward from Premier League rivals Liverpool fc. Isak was left out of the squad for the Magpies pre-season friendly against Celtic with manager Eddie Howe admitting he wanted to remove him from 'scrutiny' due to the speculation he may leave the club. Reports have previously said that Liverpool are willing to spend big money - in advance of £125m though perhaps closer to £150m - for Isak this summer as they look to strengthen under manager Arne Slot. Howe is adamant that Isak is not for sale and is confident that he will start the season at St. James' Park. However, Isak's agent, Gonzalo Gaitan, has cast doubt on that stance. Gaitan spoke to Saudi Arabian newspaper Arriyadiyah and revealed that Isak's camp are 'analysing all options'. He said: 'We are indeed studying and analysing all options, and we may be close to finalising the next step for the player. Without revealing any details regarding whether Isak will transfer or stay with Newcastle.' Following Newcastle's defeat to Celtic at the weekend Howe explained that his club want to 'treasure' Isak as one of their best players but admits he doesn't have 100% clarity on whether the striker will remain at the club. 'I chose to send him home. The last thing Alex wants if he is not playing is to be sat in the stand and under that scrutiny, then if he wasn't going to play today, we mutually agreed he shouldn't be here,' said Howe. 'It was my decision. He travelled back to Glasgow with us, but I decided to send him home due to the speculation around him. I've had discussions with him, but that's not abnormal. 'I respect a player's career and how short it is. Alex has been really good, he's trained really well and I realise there'll be noise around him. We have a few of those players who are irreplaceable. 'Your top players are so hard to find, so hard to recruit and so hard to develop. So when you have them, you need to treasure them. Of course we're desperate to keep him as part of our team. 'I think it's difficult for me to ever give 100 per cent clarity on any player, I'd never do that. All I can say is Alex is happy at Newcastle, he loves the players, the staff, the team.' Isak has scored 62 goals in 109 appearances for Newcastle across all competitions.

Mikel Arteta drops huge hint Arsenal WILL sign Viktor Gyokeres as transfer saga rumbles on

MIKEL ARTETA says Arsenal are still 'short' of depth and quality and will continue to spend big in the transfer window. And the Gunners boss has hinted that they could welcome more new signings on their pre-season tour of Singapore with a £63.5million deal for Viktor Gyokeres edging closer. 5 5 5 Arsenal have bought four players so far this summer – splashing out over £120m on the likes of Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Noni Madueke. Three of those four are currently in Asia with Madueke needing some rest from his Club World Cup participation, having completed his £52m move from Chelsea last Friday. Arteta is keen to transform his squad even further – on the brink of finally landing an elite No.9 in Sporting Lisbon's Gyokeres with negotiations over add-ons at the final stages, while Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera is also in talks over a £16.5m switch and Crystal Palace's £60m-rated Eberechi Eze remains a target. Gyokeres is adamant he will never play for Sporting again, currently staying away from training, and has his heart set on playing for Arteta. There had been hope that the Gyokeres transfer would be completed in time for him to play some part of Arsenal's pre-season opener against AC Milan in Singapore on Wednesday. And asked about the Swede, Arteta said: 'I cannot comment on any player who is not part of our group yet. When we have something concrete to offer, we will do that.' Pressed on if new faces will be flying out to join up with the squad soon, he continued: 'There are a lot of parties and things that we have to bear in mind to get a player over the line and here. I'm very hopeful that we are going to do it very soon. 'There's still a long time in the window and we are seeking still, in terms of numbers. BEST ONLINE CASINOS - TOP SITES IN THE UK 5 TRANSFER NEWS LIVE - KEEP UP WITH ALL THE LATEST FROM A BUSY SUMMER WINDOW 'We are short and we have to improve the depth and quality of the squad. We are constantly looking in the market. 'Ideally you want it from day one in pre-season. We have done very well so far, I'm very pleased with how the club has supported the improvements that we required in the team. '[Sporting director] Andrea [Berta] and the team have done an excellent job trying to push everything forward. You see the club ownership and the ambition we have, the alignment we have. There is excitement about the new season. 'There's a long time to go in the window but we still have hopes we can improve the team and we will continue to try and do that. 'Until that happens, focus on the players we have and focus on them.' 5
