Sridhar Babu extends full support to doctors
The minister was speaking at the 11th anniversary of the Telangana Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association (Tanacon-2025) on Sunday in Karimnagar. Sridhar Babu assured he would resolve the problems faced by hospitals and private nursing home owners, discuss with the Minister of Health amending the Hospitals Establishment Act, and establish a Medical Policy Corporation for effective decision-making.
He said that the doctors are the frontline warriors of the State and are playing a major role in saving the lives of people.
He said that under the Congress government, the expenditure for the Rajiv Arogya Sri scheme, established under the leadership of the late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, has been increased, and the Clinical Establishment Act was brought during his tenure.
He said that 14 doctors have been elected to the Telangana Legislative Assembly and are working for the progression of doctors. He said that a meeting will be organised and action will be taken to solve the problems faced by private hospitals. He called upon doctors to take part in the Kaleshwaram Saraswati Pushkaram at Manthani.
Dharmapuri MLA and Government Whip Adluri Laxman Kumar, Jagitial MLA Dr Sanjay Kumar, Manakondur MLA Dr Kavvam Pelli Satyanarayana, Korutla MLA Dr K Sanjay Kumar, Dr Palvai Harish Kumar, and Suda Chairman Komatireddy Narender Reddy were present on the day.

KNRUHS extends last date for online applications to July 30
Hyderabad: The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) on Friday extended the last date for online applications from the qualified candidates with cut off scores or above in NEET UG-2025 for admission into MBBS to July 30. The University had earlier announced that it would consider the students as local only if they have studied in the state for four years from Class-IX to Intermediate. However, after recent directions from the Supreme Court, which said the admissions should be as per the system followed during the previous year. Last year the students got admission based on the nativity certificate given by the Tahasildars. The last date for counselling was ending on Friday. With the Supreme Court directions, the University has decided to extend the last date for submitting the certificates. The students have been facing the non-local issue thanks to the previous orders of the government, which said the students should continuously study for four years in the state. The students who have studied in other states for two years had become non-locals whereas the other students who studied here were getting the benefit as locals. The students from Telangana approached the Court, which ordered the government to take up admission as per the system followed during the previous year. The last date was extended till 5 PM on July 30 due to several requests received from the candidates and parents and also court cases with regard to local/non-local issues. Hemant cabinet nod to rename Atal clinics after Mother Teresa
Ranchi: The Hemant Soren-led cabinet on Thursday decided to rechristen all PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee Mohalla Clinics in the state as Mother Teresa Advanced Health Clinics, drawing sharp reactions from oppoisition from BJP . According to the state health department, currently, 140 PM Atal Mohalla Clinics are operational across the state. The clinics were first rolled out in 2019 during the BJP's tenure when Raghubar Das was the chief minister. Though the health department officials refused to comment on the renaming, they said the overhauled clinics would be upgraded with the efficacies enhanced along with advanced facilities at the mohalla level as part of the department's health services' overhaul plan across the state. Criticising the move, BJP accused the govt of playing "dirty politics", taking the name of legendary personalities to digress from the real issues plaguing the people of the state. Medivision 2025 opens to good response in Gadag

The event, spread across 105 stalls, showcases human anatomy with models and specimens. Doctors and technicians are demonstrating CPR and explaining body systems. About 30,000 visitors are expected over three days. Dr Basavaraj Bommanahalli, institute director, told TOI that the medical exhibition is aimed at students from class 6 to 10 and PUC science stream from across the district.
