Murder arrest over Exmouth garden death
Devon and Cornwall Police said the arrest took place on Monday and followed inquiries into the death of a man in Exmouth.
Police said: "A 26-year-old man from Exmouth remains in police custody where he will be interviewed by detectives."
Officers were called at about 00:45 on 31 May after they received reports a 24-year-old man had been assaulted and found in a garden at a property at Ashfield Close, Exmouth.

Cop car hits pedestrian in Red Light area
Police officers responding to an incident in Sydney's CBD have struck a pedestrian en route in Kings Cross, sparking an internal investigation. The hit happened about 3.10am on Saturday morning after emergency services were called to reports of a brawl in the city. The police car was travelling along William St in Darlinghurst with lights and sirens, the police said on Sunday. 'Initial inquiries have led police to believe a pedestrian ran onto William Street at the same time and collided with the police vehicle,' the police said. 'Officers assisted the 35-year-old man at the scene before the arrival of paramedics.' Paramedics took the main to St Vincent's Hospital where he remains in a stable condition. 'The driver of the police vehicle – a constable attached to Kings Cross Police Area Command – was treated at the scene for shock,' the police said. 'Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are underway.'

Homicide investigation underway in Vallejo after 1 shot
A homicide investigation is underway after a female died after she was shot in Vallejo early Saturday morning, police said. Fire crews responded to the 400 block of Admiral Callaghan Lane around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, finding an unconscious female. She was taken to the hospital for further treatment. While at the hospital, medics identified at least one gunshot wound. Police said the victim died early Saturday afternoon. The Vallejo Police Department took over the investigation. The victim's identity has not been released.

Three dead in horror two-car crash
Three people have died and a fourth is fighting for life in hospital following a horror two-car crash. The crash happened near Bolinda, about 55km north of Melbourne, on Sunday morning. Emergency services were called to the scene on Bolinda-Darraweit Road about 7.20am. 'Three people from one of the vehicles, who have yet to be formally identified, died at the scene,' the police said on Sunday. 'The fourth occupant from that car was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.' Paramedics took the driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle with non life-threatening injuries. 'The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing,' the police said. 'Anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam footage or any other information that could assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.' More to come.
