Union Minister-actor Suresh Gopi's son clarifies he bought Volkswagen Golf GTI worth ₹67 lakh on loan, not dad's money
Madhav mentioned in the interview that one of the first comments he saw when he posted about the car was that his father had bought it for him. 'When I bought the car, the first comment I came across was – Did the father or the son pay for it? It would've been better if it were with your own money. So let me make it clear – I took a loan. Now, I'll be working to repay it.'
The actor, however, did acknowledge the privilege that comes with being Suresh's son, stating that he would like to stand on his own two feet. 'That's my father's wealth, and yes, I have that security. I know not everyone has that kind of backing. The money my father has saved is not for me to spend on luxuries. It's meant for my parents' retirement and my sister's wedding. I need to work, earn and build something of my own,' he said.
Madhav also opened up in the interview about facing trolls, claiming most of the hate that comes his way is political. He claimed many people were 'bitter' towards his father, Suresh, because of his being a BJP minister. The actor, though, said that it doesn't make him 'angry' as it's still 'attention' spent on him. Upcoming work
Both Madhav and Suresh star in Janaki vs State of Kerala, which is facing issues over its title from the CBFC. Directed by Pravin Narayanan, the courtroom drama stars Anupama Parameswaran as the lead. The Kerala High Court on Monday questioned the CBFC over its insistence on changing the name Janaki, based on its being an iteration of Sita.

Kerala high court to watch ‘JSK' on Saturday amid certification dispute
Kochi: Kerala high court will watch the Suresh Gopi-starrer 'JSK – Janaki vs State of Kerala' in connection with petitions challenging the order of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) directing a change in its title and the name of its lead character 'Janaki'. The bench of Justice N Nagaresh, while considering a petition by the film's production company Cosmos Entertainments, decided to watch the movie at Lal Media, Palarivattom, Kochi, at 10am on Saturday. The court adjourned the petitions to next Wednesday for further hearing. The petitioner had approached HC seeking a directive to CBFC to issue the censor certificate within a specified time to enable the film's release. In response, the board referred the film to its revising committee, which subsequently recommended changing the film's title and the name of the lead character. The production company then filed a second petition challenging this decision. The film, directed by Pravin Narayanan and also starring Anupama Parameswaran, is reportedly centred on the legal battle of an assaulted woman against the state. CBFC has maintained that the use of the name 'Janaki', another name for Goddess Sita, violates Guideline 2(12) for film certification, which prohibits visuals or words that are contemptuous of racial, religious or other groups. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo Advocate Abhinav Chandrachud appeared for CBFC and sought additional time to file a reply to the second petition. Advocate Haris Beeran, counsel for the petitioner, requested that both petitions be heard together. The court granted Chandrachud's request and adjourned the matter to next Wednesday. It also directed the petitioner to arrange necessary facilities to screen the film for the court. As the petitioner cited practical difficulties in conducting the screening in the courtroom, the court allowed the screening to be held in a studio instead. Chandrachud also requested that the film be screened at the CBFC office in Mumbai, as he is currently based there, and the court directed him to consult CBFC officials regarding the request. At the previous hearing, the court had severely criticised the CBFC's objection to the use of the name 'Janaki' for the film's title or its lead character, asking how it could be considered contemptuous to any racial, religious, or other group. "What is wrong with the name Janaki? Why should the petitioner change the title? Give a reason. Do you dictate to directors and artists which titles they should use or what stories they should tell?," it had asked.

'Akshay Kumar forced to cast Kareena Kapoor in Talaash,' says Pahlaj Nihalini; revealing it was the first time in his career that an actor interfered in casting
Former CBFC ( Central Board Of Film Certification ) Chief and film-maker Pahlaj Nihalini is always known for being quite vocal about his opinions. Nihalini in the recent interview has spoken harshly about the growing costs of entourage of actors. He revealed the kind of demands which actors have. He also added that earlier heroes never interfered with the casting of heroines but it started with Akshay Kumar who referred Kareena Kapoor for his film 'Talaash'. Pahlaj said that this was the first time in his career that he saw such a demand. 'Earlier, producers and directors used to cast and heroes wouldn't interfere in casting. The first actor to interfere in casting with me was Akshay Kumar in Talash in 2002. He told me that 'we can start the movie tomorrow, and you can give me any amount that you want, but the heroine of this film will be Kareena Kapoor.' It was one of the most costly film of that time, it was made in Rs 22 crore. This was the first time in my career that an actor had demanded a certain cast,' he said. He said that now a days, the actor only decides everything about the film - right from the director to actresses or technicians. 'Aajkal toh yeh pura racket hai. Aaj kal sab kuch actor ka hi hai.' When asked about the reason why Akshay wanted Kareena for the film, he said, 'Sometimes, as the actors grow old they want to star against younger actresses so that their own age looks less.' In this interview, he also spoke about Govinda and was asked if he was arrogant. Reacting to it, he said, "Govinda was always insecure in everything. His father was a huge hero of Mehboob Khan. He was a producer also, had so many losses. Usne itna dard saaha uske baad, bahut saari cheezein unke haath se nikal gayi, aur struggle karna pada. All those things were built inside him while doing something.'
