Abbey Clancy says ‘I wouldn't trust you as far as I could throw you' in brutal marriage insight
Abbey Clancy says she wouldn't trust husband Peter Crouch 'as far as she could throw him' in a brutal marriage insight. The model has been with former England footballer Peter for almost two decades.
The couple married in 2011, five years after they started dating, and now share four children together. They regularly discuss the highs and lows of married life on their podcast, The Therapy Crouch.
In a recent episode, a listener wrote in saying their friends had all found themselves in relationships meaning they had no one to go out with. It prompted the woman to ask them if they would attend a singles night together.
While former Liverpool forward Peter, 44, sympathised with the woman, he believes they should just organise a regular 'girls night'. He said: 'I get she wants to go out with the girls, that's fine, go to a pub, go to a restaurant, you can't go to a singles night.'
Abbey queried 'what's the difference' between going to a singles night and a regular night on the town. To which Peter replied: 'If I said to you, my mate is single and he's not got a girlfriend, so I'm just going to go to this singles night tonight to help him out, how would you feel?'
Abbey said: 'I'd be like grow up. If you're confident enough in your relationship and secure in your relationship then your head won't be turned.'
Husband Peter shot back saying Abbey 'isn't confident enough in their relationship' if she wouldn't let him go. She said: 'I'm not, I'm absolutely not, I wouldn't trust you as far as I could throw you.
'You're under lock and key, mister. I would help my friend out, maybe not a singles night then.'
Peter and Abbey met in Liverpool in 2005. Recalling how they met during an interview on Good Morning Britain, Abbey said: 'When we first met, he begged me for my number and then I went to the loo or the bar, and when I came back, he was talking to another girl. I was like, 'How dare you?''
Peter went on to say he was 'just talking' to the other girl but Abbey asked for her number back. He added: 'I said, 'You can't give someone your number and then take it back'.'
Despite the initial bump in the road, their relationship blossomed and the couple tied the knot on June 30, 2011. According to OK! , the family live in a 'magical' Surrey mansion complete with its own cinema room and a huge garden.
The sprawling mansion regularly features on Abbey's social media feeds. Fans have seen glimpses of Peter working at his large wooden desk, complete with football trophy, as well as enjoying the property's outdoor swimming pool and wooden play area.
They are said to have moved into the stunning property in 2016.

‘I miss daughter Martine McCutcheon so much after son's death - we don't speak'
Bestselling author Jenny Tomlin was devastated by the sudden death of her son in 2022. Consumed by grief she lost touch with her daughter, former EastEnders star Martine McCutcheon. Now, she's pleading for her forgiveness Martine McCutcheon and her mum, Jenny Tomlin, used to be joined at the hip, but a sudden death in the family led to a devastating breakdown. Now heartbroken Jenny is desperate for a reconciliation. 'There was nothing she didn't include me in,' says Jenny. 'We did all the wonderful stuff – the premiere of Love Actually, the restaurants – but the memories I cherish are of us just sitting on my bed, bringing up old memories and laughing. I miss that.' Their relationship started to fall apart after the tragic death of Martine's brother Laurence John – known affectionately as LJ – in 2022. He was just 31. Jenny says she suffered an emotional breakdown and pushed Martine away. Jenny, 69, wants to apologise to Martine, 49, for cutting her off, she reveals in an exclusive interview with OK!. 'When I lost LJ, I detached. I was so heartbroken I couldn't talk to Martine,' she says. 'There was no big row – Martine tried to contact me for months, but I didn't answer. Martine was grieving and needed me, too. 'I want the chance to say sorry. I miss her so much – it physically hurts.' Jenny and Martine did meet once, briefly, last October, but it wasn't the reunion she hoped for. 'Martine texted me out of the blue,' says Jenny. 'She'd moved into a new home and wondered if my husband Alan could do some painting. We jumped at the chance and went over, but we didn't talk in depth. It was awkward and the atmosphere felt heavy.' There was vague talk of Christmas plans, but nothing was confirmed. That, Jenny says, was when the silence truly began. Reflecting on another high-profile rift that has made headlines, Jenny says: 'I understand the pain Victoria Beckham is going through over her estrangement from Brooklyn. He was her firstborn, too. It's a heartbreaking situation for anybody who is estranged or has lost their child.' Recalling the pain of losing LJ, Jenny's voice cracks. 'It's not the natural order to lose a child.' But Jenny realises the mistake she made 'broke' Martine's heart. 'Eventually, I did pull myself out of that dark hole, but maybe it was too late,' she says. Recalling the day LJ died, Jenny says she got a phone call from his fiancée, who said he'd collapsed and they couldn't revive him. Still in her pyjamas, Jenny drove the hour and a half from her home in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire to LJ's by the Essex coast – but it was too late. 'My precious boy was on the floor, wrapped up. I remember saying, 'It's OK to open your eyes now, son, I'm here',' she says, tearfully. 'They'd worked hard doing CPR on him, but couldn't bring him back. 'It was like a nightmare. I couldn't believe my boy was gone.' An autopsy revealed that LJ – who didn't smoke or drink – had succumbed to acute ischaemic heart disease and diabetes. Jenny rang Martine from the scene, but was so distraught her daughter had to speak to paramedics to find out what had happened. In the early hours, Jenny drove to Martine's. 'She looked at me and realised I needed looking after,' Jenny says. 'She'd prepared the spare room, stroked my hair, gave me a cuddle and, somehow, I slept.' LJ was laid to rest on 31 October 2022. After, Jenny says her life went 'down a deep, dark pit'. She says, 'I was seen by a mental health team and given anti-anxiety meds.' Martine, who played Tiffany Mitchell in EastEnders from 1994 to 1998, was 15 when LJ was born and Jenny recalls how she became a sort of surrogate mum to him. Following LJ's death, Jenny was paralysed by anxiety, and suspects this is at the heart of why she hasn't seen her daughter or grandson, 10-year-old Rafferty, in so long. 'I didn't contact Martine,' she says. 'I abandoned her. I was so wrapped up in my own grief that I was neglecting my other child. That was the start of it, and things just… snowballed. And here we are.' Jenny, an author of novels and memoir, including Behind Closed Doors about the abuse she suffered as a child, says she's reached out to Martine recently – calling, texting, sending cards – but claims she has had no response. Just weeks ago, after a moment of clarity, Jenny and Alan drove the 90 minutes to Martine's house in Surrey. 'I was banging on the door shouting her name,' she admits. 'But nobody answered. So I gave up, got in the car and drove home distraught. I turned to Alan and said, 'I don't think she'll ever speak to me again'. 'That's why I've done this interview as a plea for Martine to get in touch.' In the last couple of months, Jenny feels more like herself and has started writing a memoir about LJ. But her guilt over Martine remains. 'I let Martine down. There's not a day goes by when I don't think of her. 'Losing Rafferty has felt like another death,' she says. And her love for Rafferty has inspired Jenny to write children's books, which she hopes to dedicate to him. When Martine's 18-year relationship to musician Jack McManus broke down last year, she and Jenny weren't in contact. And it's not something Jenny is willing to discuss. 'That's between Martine and Jack,' she says. 'I don't think I'll ever stop trying when it comes to my girl. If I could speak to Martine, I'd tell her how sorry I am. I've lost one child, I don't want to lose another.' Next year, Jenny turns 70. The greatest gift anyone could give her would be to share a cuppa with her daughter, while her grandson plays in the garden. 'I've seen what silence does to families,' she says. 'I don't want that for us. I don't want to be another story of regret. I want us to love each other. To find our way back.' 'Trauma doesn't always look like tears' Grief expert Tina Chummun, Person Centred Trauma Specialist Psychotherapist of Care2Counsel, says of Jenny's situation: 'When a mother loses a child, especially in a traumatic or unexpected way, her nervous system can become overwhelmed - we often see intense grief manifest as numbness, withdrawal or cognitive collapse. 'If you are grieving the loss of one child, and in that shattered fragile state, couldn't show up for the other. From the daughter's perspective, her mum may have seemed to disappear just when she needed her most, creating a rupture that now feels insurmountable. Tina adds, "For a mother, emerging from that fog years later and finding the door closed can feel like experiencing a second bereavement - the living grief of estrangement as though she's lost both children. Rebuilding trust starts with accountability, patience and time..' 'Trauma doesn't always look like tears - sometimes, it looks like silence behind closed doors. The bridge back is built slowly, with humility and hope. Vulnerability can be the bridge that grief once burned.'

Jack P Shepherd and Hanni Treweek tie the knot as first snaps emerge from lavish wedding
The Corrie star and his new wife have been pictured together for the first time on their wedding day. Telly favourite Jack P Shepherd and Hanni Treweek have officially tied the knot. The Coronation Street star and his new wife were married at Manchester Cathedral today. The first photos from their special day have now emerged. As can be seen in our sister title The Mirror, the couple were all smiles in the pictures from the moments after they said 'I do'. The soap star, best known for his role as David Platt, looked dapper in a suit as he stood next to Hanni. The 37-year-old was seen wearing an off-white suit jacket over a black waistcoat and white shirt, completed with black trousers and a bow tie. Hanni, 36, looked stunning in a long white dress with a full skirt and an impressively long train. Her gown featured a lace, off-the-shoulder top with long sleeves, adding to her elegant bridal look. She finished off her outfit with a lengthy veil, held in place by a tiara. The newlyweds shared a romantic kiss on the steps of Manchester Cathedral, while their delighted guests showered them with confetti. Jack proposed to Hanni last year during a romantic safari trip in Tanzania. The pair had been colleagues on the popular soap before their relationship blossomed. The soap actor previously revealed that his participation in Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year was to help fund their extravagant wedding day, although he didn't anticipate winning the ITV reality show. In the run-up to their big day, the couple offered sneak peeks into their planning process, which they've been undertaking with the help of events company Taylor Lynn Corporation. Hanni shared highlights from the planning process on Instagram, including a photo of the day she said yes to the dress, as well as when she chose the wine for their wedding. She revealed charming details, such as how she and Jack "built our guest list in this cosy little cabin". As she celebrated the four-week countdown to her wedding in the post, she said: "Here's to four weeks of making special memories, feeling excited, nervous, overwhelmed, emotional, in love and everything else that comes with being a bride". Groom Jack responded with: "It's gonna be EPIC!". Meanwhile, Jack previously provided a glimpse into their wedding plans when asked on Good Morning Britain if he planned to invite his Celebrity Big Brother housemates to his big day. Jack admitted: "I don't think so. I've only known them three weeks and have a guest list a mile long." Jack and Hanni first met when his now-bride appeared on Coronation Street – she later worked on the soap as a storyline writer. However, sparks didn't fly until they reunited at a friend's wedding sometime later. Jack previously reminisced: "We got chatting, I made Hanni laugh, we had a couple of drinks and we flirted. That was it." The duo started seeing each other later that year after a chance encounter at a supermarket. Jack humorously commented on the awkwardness of their meeting, while Hanni was worried about her looks. However, Jack was completely taken with her, admitting: "I actually thought she looked fit I just saw the girl I fancy wearing lycra! We quickly went on our first date and we just clicked." The pair first met in 2022, welcomed baby Aria in 2023 and tied the knot in a plush 2024 bash straight out of a fairy tale. But it's not all roses and romance, they're juggling marriage and parenthood from different countries. Karius now plays for German Bundesliga two side Schalke after leaving Newcastle while Diletta's continues her DAZN gig in Milan. But according to the goalkeeper his wife loves it and creates an atmoshphere where its right for them to feel the love even from a distance. He told Sport Bild: 'Diletta even advised me to extend at Schalke. "She thinks the club is great and she likes everything she has seen here so far. "Diletta also thinks that royal blue is the perfect choice for my sporting success. She is fully behind this decision." BEST ONLINE CASINOS - TOP SITES IN THE UK Karius however admits it's tough not seeing little Aria every day but FaceTime is saving the day. He added: 'But of course it's hard for me when I can't see my little daughter Aria for days. Glamorous sports presenter Diletta Leotta shocks in full see-through outfit as she leaves little to imagination "But that's what FaceTime is for and we see each other regularly - as often as possible." The 32-year-old goalkeeper also admitted he's open to a second child even though he's not planned anything yet. He added: "We would love to have a second child, we don't know when yet and nothing concrete is planned so far." The goalie also revealed that his missus is the real celeb in the family – especially in Milan. He added: 'She gets recognised more than me. She's a superstar over there.' But Karius wasn't quite ready for the full Italian family welcome. On meeting Diletta's clan in noisy Sicily, he fled the lunch table and locked himself in the bedroom for a lie-down. His wife Dilette revealed on a podcast: 'He was shattered by life, bless him. 'He said, Please stop, I need a break. "He went upstairs to his room locked himself in and threw himself on the bed destroyed by life." Since his Liverpool nightmare, Karius has done the rounds – Besiktas, Union Berlin, Newcastle and now Schalke in Germany's second tier, where he just signed a deal until 2027. 11 Diletta Leotta is one of DAZN top footie presenters Credit: Instagram / @dilettaleotta 11 She was in the U.S working during the just ended Club World Cup Credit: Instagram / @dilettaleotta 11 Every now and then she'd drop a stunning photo on her Instagram page for her followers Credit: Instagram / @dilettaleotta 11 The presenter first met Karious in 2022 and now they have a daughter Credit: Instagram / @dilettaleotta 11 Diletta admits Karius couldn't handle meeting her family for the first time Credit: Instagram / @dilettaleotta 11 She's happy to stay in Milan while her husband stays in Gelsenkirchen playing for Schalke Credit: Instagram / @dilettaleotta 11 Italian television presenter and model, married to German professional footballer Loris Karius Credit: Instagram / @dilettaleotta
