Watch This 49-Year-Old Singer Whose Bad 'AGT' Audition Turned into an 'Amazing' Golden Buzzer
Night three of Season 20 of America's Got Talent continued its auditions with a series of memorable performances. One notable one was from 49-year-old Charity Lockhart, who failed at first try, but, by the grace of Simon Cowell, became Mel B's Golden Buzzer.
'I absolutely love to sing, I love music. But I also love my children,' the mother of two said. She joked, 'I have two children. They're little. One is 27 and the other one is 21.'
Before she sang, Charity related a heart-touching story of early struggles when she and her two children were living in a car after a divorce.
'All I had was my voice. So I went to clubs and bars and I asked live bands if I could sing with them,' she related. 'They would give me a little money at the end of the night, so I entered vocal competitions. Not this big. It was a local competition, and we won a monetary award. And that gave us our first apartment.'

Now, Charity is at AGT hoping to win an even bigger prize.
'You have definitely earned your place here,' Simon told her. 'After everything you've gone through, what would be the dream now?'
'I want to keep singing and collect a Grammy along the way,' she boldly said.
Mel B turned to Howie Mandel and said, 'Me, too.'
Simon continued, 'Charity, what I've learned over the years is, if you've got talent, I believe anything is possible now. Seriously, I do. We are all honestly rooting for you right now.'
Mel B said, 'I hope this is good.'
Simon agreed, 'I hope so, too.'

Charity began with an a capella version of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow,' but it wasn't good. Simon cut her off and said, 'I stopped you because I like you. But it just wasn't working for me. Have you got another song? Anything? I really want this to work for you, and this is a lot of pressure. But come on, you've got it in you. Let's hear the other song.'
'I will do my best, I promise,' Charity said, and she performed The Beatles' 'Golden Slumbers.'
Mel B was the first judge to stand for Charity. But Simon, Sofia Vergara and Howie quickly followed.
Simon said, 'This is what a great audition is all about, you know, when they're going to talk about you the following day. That was one of those auditions. It was that good.'

Mel B said, 'Oh, man. You know what? Every once in a while, you see somebody, you connect with them, and they just bring more and more to the table. I think you're amazing, and I want to give you this.'
Mel B pressed the Golden Buzzer, sending Charity straight through to the Live Shows. Then she ran on stage and hugged Charity, saying, 'Incredible. Incredible.'

NYT Mini Hints For Sunday, July 13: Today's Extra Clues And Answers
Answers for today's NYT Mini Crossword are just ahead. Before we get to today's NYT Mini crossword hints, clues and answers, here are Saturday's: Wondering what bird is an excellent starting guess in Wordle? Not sure what family nickname would be a terrible starting guess in Wordle? Don't worry, because I'm here to help you with extra hints and the answers for today's NYT Mini crossword. The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper's larger and long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays. Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you'll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives. Here are extra hints and the official NYT Mini Crossword clues and answers for Sunday, July 13: Spoilers lie ahead, so remember to scroll slowly: NYT Mini Crossword Hints 1 Across: "Get your stinkin' paws off me, you damn dirty ___!" – line spoken by Charlton Heston's character in a '60s sci-fi movie 4 Across: A type of kick famously used by Daniel LaRusso in The Karate Kid 6 Across: New ____, band behind hits such as "Blue Monday" 7 Across: _____ Mia! – a jukebox musical based on songs by ABBA 8 Across: Palindromic exclamation of delight 1 Down: A large assortment 2 Down: Flower known as the sacred lotus 3 Down: The ____ of my _____ is my friend 4 Down: A 'dot' bubble that ended in the year 2000 5 Down: A period of time (usually centered around an album) in Taylor Swift's career NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers 1 Across: Gibbon or gorilla – APE 4 Across: Bird whose name is an excellent starting guess in Wordle, according to WordleBot – CRANE 6 Across: Cry from a judge – ORDER 7 Across: Family nickname that would make a terrible starting guess in Wordle – MAMMA 8 Across: "Hooray!" – YAY 1 Down: Widespread display – ARRAY 2 Down: Lakshmi who was a longtime host of Top Chef – PADMA 3 Down: "Don't let perfect be the ___ of good" (aphorism) – ENEMY 4 Down: URL ending – COM 5 Down: Historical period – ERA Completed New York Times Mini crossword for Sunday, July 13. It took me 0:26 to complete today's NYT Mini. I'm very happy with that time! I haven't had a sub-30 solve in a while. MAMMA was the only word on the Across side I didn't get on my first pass – it felt like a very nebulous clue for that one, but it makes sense to a degree to include it with the context of CRANE. Even then, you'd need to be a dedicated Wordle player to figure that one (CRANE, I mean) out. For what it's worth, MAMMA would be a very bad starting guess in Wordle because it has both a triple letter and a double letter, which would eliminate two letters at most from future potential guesses. See you tomorrow for more NYT Mini fun! Make sure to follow my blog for more coverage of the NYT Mini and other word games, as well as video game news, insights and analysis. It helps me out a lot! David Corenswet left with 'wildest bruise' on testicle while filming Superman
David Corenswet got the "wildest bruise" on his "right testicle" while filming Superman. Taking part in Vanity Fair's Lie Detector Test series, his co-star Nicholas Hoult quizzed him on the 'wildest bruise" he got from the harness he used for the superhero blockbuster's flying scenes, to which Corenswet replied: 'My right testicle.' The test rendered his answer 'inconclusive" at first before he went into detail about the injury. He shared: 'There's footage from filming of me getting pulled through the air. It's this wonderful epic moment, it's in the trailer. In the beginning of it where I stand up and punch the glass out and then I leap out the window and fly through the air. 'And the first take of that, it's this big epic punch and a leap through the air and then just, 'my testicle.'' The polygraph professional confirmed he was telling the truth, with Corenswet responding: 'Oh yeah, I couldn't lie about that, it's on film.' Meanwhile, director James Gunn has teased his next DC Universe (DCU) project will feature Corenswet's Superman. The filmmaker insisted it won't be a direct sequel to the film, but it will see the return of Corenswet's Man of Steel. Speaking with Omelete, Gunn said: '[Corenswet] was asking me what I was working on ... He knows that I'm working on something. He knows he's a part of it. He doesn't know what it is … literally nothing.' Superman follows Clark Kent (Corenswet) as he struggles to balance his human life with his Kryptonian heritage, while facing a new threat from Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult). The blockbuster also introduces other DC heroes, including Guy Gardner's Green Lantern (Nathan Fillion), Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), and Mister Terrific (Edi Gathegi).

Ring the Jingle Bells! A Third 'Three Wise Men' Christmas Movie Is Heading to Hallmark This Year (Exclusive)
PEOPLE can exclusively reveal that Hallmark Channel has greenlit a third Three Wise Men movie The first two Christmas movies starring Tyler Hynes, Andrew Walker and Paul Campbell have been massive hits for the network The new movie will debut later this year as part of Countdown to ChristmasThe Brenner brothers are back! Following the success of 2022's Three Wise Men and a Baby and 2024's Three Wiser Men and a Boy, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal that Tyler Hynes, Andrew Walker and Paul Campbell are coming back together for a third installment in their Hallmark Channel Christmas movie franchise. "This Countdown to Christmas, the dance continues," Walker says in the teaser video above, referencing the viral dance from the original film. Margaret Colin, who plays the mother of Luke (Walker), Taylor (Hynes) and Stephan Brenner (Campbell), is also returning. While Campbell and actress Kimberley Sustad co-wrote the first two movies (with Russell Hainline as well on the second), no writers have been announced yet. The movie also doesn't have a description or a title at this juncture — so let's see your best guesses in the comments! (Should it be Three Wisest Men? Three Wise Men and a Teenager? Three Wise Men and a Little Lady?) The film is set to go into production this summer and will air later this year. Three Wise Men and a Baby was the No. 1 most-watched original cable movie of 2022 and its sequel was the network's second most-watched Christmas movie of 2024 (after Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, which also starred Hynes). "We were surprised at the reaction that people had with the first Three Wise Men, and we're just glad to do it again," Walker told PEOPLE ahead of the sequel. Added Hynes, "What these movies do best is when it explores new themes that maybe haven't been done, and I think Wise Men does that incredibly well." "I think we found something really great, really fun," said Campbell, who co-wrote the first two movies with Kimberley Sustad. "We definitely bring the silliness." 'In 2022, our Brenner brothers, Andrew, Tyler and Paul danced — literally — into viewers' hearts, creating on-screen magic and a ratings hit,' Jennifer Kramer, vice president of programming at Hallmark Media, said in a statement. 'The Three Wise Men movies are funny, heartwarming and show the power of family and brotherhood.' Hynes, Walker and Campbell can all be seen on Hallmark's current reality series, Christmas at Sea (airing Mondays), which was filmed during the Hallmark Christmas Cruise last November. They even rocked their Three Wise Men outfits and performed the movie's choreographed dance while aboard. Plus, they'll be setting sail on the cruise again this November, as well as appearing during Hallmark's Christmas Experience in Kansas City and Christmas Con in New Jersey. Three Wise Men 3 premieres later this year during the 16th annual Countdown to Christmas on Hallmark Channel. Other previously announced festive entries include Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story with Holland Roden and Matthew Daddario, A Newport Christmas with Ginna Claire Mason and Wes Brown, new baking series Baked with Love: Holiday, hosted by Tamera Mowry-Housley, and second seasons of Finding Mr. Christmas, hosted by Jonathan Bennett, and Sarah Drew's Mistletoe Murders.
