Devastating photo shows Caitlyn Jenner's pal's crashed ATV at fatal crash site
Devastating footage shows the scene where Caitlyn Jenner's manager and longtime friend died in a fatal vehicle crash. Sophia Hutchins died aged 29 after an ATV accident.
Her vehicle plunged down a cliff in Malibu. It's believed her ATV struck the bumper of another moving car which then caused her to fall down a ravine.
Footage from the scene showed the vehicle overturning in the brush. The clip captured by KCAL seems to show the ATV having came to a stop on top of another vehicle.
In the footage, the blue Polaris ATV is seen lying on the top of another vehicle which appears to have previously gone over the cliff too. According to sources, the impact of striking another car's vehicle sent Hutchins' vehicle "'plummeting 350ft down into a ravine".
Officials confirmed the fatal incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday, July 2. Hutchins had been travelling in the all-terrain vehicle when it struck a moving vehicle on a twisting section of road overlooking the Pacific Coast.
Emergency responders reached the scene swiftly following the incident. Sadly, however, Hutchins was declared deceased upon arrival.
Authorities confirmed the pair of occupants within the other car escaped injury. It remains uncertain whether Jenner, 75, was present at her home nearby or observed the tragedy unfold.
Hutchins, also a transgender woman, initially established a connection with Jenner soon after the Olympic legend publicly revealed her identity in 2015. She had regularly labelled Jenner a beacon of hope as she continued throughout her own gender transition whilst studying at Pepperdine University.
It's said the pair's connection deepened over the years and soon became both a personal and working partnership. Hutchins relocated to Jenner's £2.8 million Malibu residence in 2017. Then, she subsequently assumed control of Jenner's professional affairs. This move replaced Jenner's former spouse Kris Jenner in that capacity.
Hutchins had previously been open about her transgender journey, and after her transition. She had said: "I truly feel my spirit, my soul, my mind is exactly the same, I am just so much more comfortable physically. Before I transitioned I felt like, 'Yeah, I'm definitely just a girl, but I'm in the wrong body.' And I felt trapped in that body.
"And I needed to have the hormones to change the body, for me, the surgeries to change the body. But for me, that's what I wanted to do, and that's what made me ultimately so at peace."
Hutchins had frequently featured on Jenner's E! reality series titled I Am Cait. The show was a spin-off from Keeping Up With the Kardashians that documented Jenner's gender transition journey.
Although the programme ran for just two seasons, it shared an insight to audiences of their everyday experiences together.
In a heartbreaking last post, Hutchins spoke about healing. In the upload, she shared a snap of an ornament she had fixed. Captioning the post, she wrote: "From a headless cherub, missing one leg, arm, and foot, to a healing cherub. You can officially call me surgeon, Dr. Hutchins…"

Family pay tribute to boy, 15, who died in collision between car and e-bike - as man, 59, is charged with murder
Family members have paid tribute to a boy, 15, who died in a collision between a car and e-bike - as a man, 59, is charged with murder. Devon Simmonds-Caines tragically lost his life in the electric bike crash in the town of Middleton, Greater Manchester, just before midday on Tuesday, July 22. Terrence King, of Castlerigg Drive, Middleton, has been charged with murder and is due to appear at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on Monday. Another boy, 15, arrested on suspicion of theft relating to the same incident - which took place on the Langley estate's Rowrah Crescent - has been bailed pending further inquiries. Devon's family has now spoken out on their heartbreaking loss, calling the boy an 'outgoing, bubbly person' who 'only wanted the best for everyone around him'. Tributes have been laid at the nearby Lakeland Court Shopping Precinct, including flowers, candles, balloons, stuffed toys, personal mementos, photos and 'RIP Devon' graffiti. Meanwhile, Greater Manchester Police are appealing for information - and have warned of footage circulating online, claiming to show events before the crash. The clip is not currently linked to their investigation - and officers have urged the public not to share it or speculate, as the case is active and Devon's family grieving. The family, paying tribute to their beloved Devon, said he 'always kept himself motivated even when he didn't want to be'. They continued: 'Devon loved everyone that loved him and showed respect to everyone that respected him. 'He wasn't afraid to speak his mind and only wanted the best for everyone around him. 'When he would love, he would love really hard. He wasn't a show off kid and kept himself to himself. 'We as a family are grateful for the tributes being made to Devon and would like to thank the local communities for their support; from both those who knew Devon and those who didn't. 'We want peace and to remember Devon calmly, surrounded by his loved ones. 'This has shocked the whole family. It was a tragic incident that should never have happened that we don't want to tarnish Devon's legacy.' Countless messages have been left at the site of floral tributes to Devon, with one reading: 'Rest in paradise Devon.' Another wrote: 'RIP Dev. Always making everyone smile. You will be forever missed.' Someone else in the community said: 'Forever 15 Dev. The biggest soul. Shine bright as always.' Graffitied messages cover nearby walls and pavements, with a large artwork reading 'RIP Devon' accompanied by angel wings, as well as, 'Rest easy Dee'. Posts to social media platform TikTok show fireworks being let off in the community in the wake of his tragic passing. Specialist officers are supporting the family while the police investigation continues and are on extra patrols in the area to provide reassurance to the community. Chief Inspector Jennifer Partington, of Greater Manchester Police's Rochdale district, said on Saturday: 'The investigation into the death of Devon is continuing, with multiple officers working through all the relevant evidence in the case. 'We are aware of footage circulating online alleging to show immediate precursory events leading to the incident, and which we are not considering to be connected to the investigation at this stage. 'We would like to remind people that this is an active case and there is a grieving family, and would ask the community to not share footage or speculate on what is an ongoing investigation.' Anyone with information that could assist the police's enquiries is asked to submit it via the force's major incident online portal. They can alternatively contact the investigation team on 0161 856 1995, quoting log number 1364 of 22/07/2025. Calling 101 or using Greater Manchester Police's live chat are also available options. The independent charity Crimestoppers can also be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Roofer broke 94-year-old woman's neck after ploughing Transit van into her car
Jamie Forrester crashed his Ford Transit head on to another car on the opposing carriageway in May 2022. A 94-year-old woman was left with broken neck and ribs after a self-employed roofer smashed his work van into the front of a car she was travelling in. Jamie Forrester, 32, had cannabis in his system when he ploughed his Ford Transit into the Volkswagen Tiguan which was on the opposite side of Lochlibo Road in Uplawmoor, on May 9, 2022. The van's back tyres were under-inflated and, on the day of the horror smash, it was raining and the road surface was wet. Procurator fiscal depute Dana Barclay yesterday told Paisley Sheriff Court: 'Around 2.10pm, Mr Wallace, aged 67 at the time, and Ms Wallace, now deceased, aged 94 at the time, was travelling west on Lochlibo Road near to Neilston Road. 'Mr Wallace was driving his Volkswagen Tiguan with his mother, Ms Wallace as the front passenger. At the same time, the accused was driving his white Ford Transit east on Lochlibo Road. 'As the accused crossed over the railway bridge, which is on a sharp right over a hillcrest onto a left turn, he lost control of the vehicle, crossing onto the opposite side of the road and head on into Mr Wallace's vehicle. 'Emergency services were contacted by people who came across the two crashed vehicles.' Ms Wallace was trapped within the vehicle and had suffered serious injuries. Forrester passed a roadside breath test but tested positive for cannabis and was arrested. Crash investigation officers attended the scene. Ms Barclay added: 'The accused was taken to Govan police office were he provided a specimen of blood for analysis. The blood results showed there was 5.4mg of delta-9tetrahdrocannabinol in the accused's system which is over the 2mg limit.' The court heard Forrester's work van was examined with both back tyres under-inflated meaning it was 'more likely for the tyre rubber to twist and not fully grip the road surface'. A collision investigation report said the collision occurred due to 'one or a combination of factors'. They were Forrester not maintaining his vehicle, allowing the rear tyre pressures to fall below the recommended values; low pressure in the rear tyres resulting in them being less efficient at maintaining adhesion with the road surface in wet conditions; and he was above the legal limit for cannabis. Ms Barclay explained the woman sustained broken bones to her neck and her ribs and was admitted to hospital for a number of weeks due to her age and frailty. She died some months after the incident in hospital. The male driver sustained whiplash, a burn to his head and bruises to his arm. He was treated at A&E and released that day. Defence agent Urfan Dar asked for reports and Forrester's bail to be continued. Mr Dar said his client knew the road and had been up since 6am to carry out sheeting and cladding work before calling it a day at lunchtime due to rain. He added: 'There is no suggestion of his impairment. He accepts he had a cannabis joint the night before.' The court heard Forrester's back tyres were around 18 PSI (Pounds per Square Inch) and 23 PSI, compared to the front tyres which were at 30 PSI. Sheriff Brian Mohan blasted: 'He drove dangerously here and he's had three years to admit it. 'This was a 94-year-old person who was seriously injured, he drove dangerously, had cannabis in his system and got up at 6am and done a day's work before this happened. 'Broken bones to the neck and ribs can't have helped at the age of 94.' Sentence was adjourned until next month for reports. Forrester, of Cedar Drive in Uddingston, South Lanarkshire, had bail continued meantime.
