Rickea Jackson has career-high 30 points as Sparks get a Commissioner's Cup win over Las Vegas
The Aces were without star center A'ja Wilson for the final 11 minutes of the game after she left with 1:17 left in the third quarter with an injury. She was accidentally hit in the face on Dearica Hamby's drive to the basket.
Jackson went 11 of 17 from the field, including four of eight from three-point range, and four of five at the free-throw line to top her previous best of 25 points against Dallas last season.
Hamby scored 19 points for the Sparks (4-7) to go with eight rebounds and seven assists. Kelsey Plum had 13 points and nine assists against her former team.
Jackie Young tied her career high with 34 points and Chelsea Gray added 28 for Las Vegas (4-4), which has lost two straight games. Wilson was 2 of 12 from the field and 9 of 10 at the free-throw line to finish with 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists in 28 minutes.
Young scored 14 straight Las Vegas points in the second quarter.
Hamby, Stevens and Jackson all scored in double figures in the first half to help the Sparks build a 50-41 lead.

Instead it was Ferguson who stood out as a secure target over the middle while Schoonmaker struggled. The former Wolverine only had 27 receptions for 241 yards and one touchdown last season. He hasn't proven worthy of a second round investment. The Ferguson contract shows the Cowboys front office is admitting defeat on Schoonmaker. He has two years left on his rookie deal and still has a chance to prove himself, but Ferguson has taken the mantle as the primary tight end. It will take an injury or catastrophic shift if Dallas was to ever view Schoonmaker as a good pick. It's a rare miss for a front office that has drafted some elite talent. The Dallas Wings will play the first of a back-to-back at home on Sunday afternoon against the Las Vegas Aces. Wings guard Paige Bueckers has been ruled out, as Dallas looks to get her a rest day. There was no injury listed, so the assumption is that Bueckers will be available for Monday night's game against the New York Liberty. However, the Wings' injury report for that game will not be released until Monday. Myisha Hines-Allen (leg), Maddy Siegrist (knee) and Tyasha Harris (knee) have also been ruled out for Sunday's game in addition to Bueckers. Bueckers hinted that she may not participate in back-to-backs earlier in the season due to a lingering knee issue, and sure enough she is being held out of Sunday's contest for rest-related purposes. 'I've been dealing with patellar tendinitis since I was in high school,' Bueckers told reporters in early July in reference to missing the second of a back-to-back. 'In a sense, you're managing it at all times. There's no day where it probably doesn't hurt. But to be on the second night of a back-to-back where I just played 38 minutes, it usually never feels great the day after the game. 'But we usually either have an off day or a light practice day to where I can recover… Assuming I would either have to play a lot of minutes or be managed, we thought it was the smart thing to do to rest and recover.' So why have Paige Bueckers play on Monday (assuming she's available for the Liberty clash) as opposed to Sunday? Well, the Aces are just 12-13 and have been struggling in recent action. Meanwhile, the Liberty entered their game on Saturday against the Los Angeles Sparks with a 17-6 record, good for first place in the Eastern Conference. Only the Wings know why they made their decision, but perhaps Dallas simply preferred to have Bueckers available against the best team in the East as opposed to a mediocre team in the West. That is only speculation, however. Regardless, Bueckers will certainly be missed on Sunday afternoon. The Wings will try to get the job done despite her absence at 4 PM EST in Arlington, TX. Paige Bueckers wasn't available to play on Sunday, a bummer for the Dallas Wings. It did set up one of the funniest moments of their matchup with the Las Vegas Aces, though. After one call went against Dallas, the broadcast cameras focused in on Bueckers. On this day, in casual clothes on the bench, Bueckers was rocking some glasses. And so, she stood up, took a few steps toward an official, and asked, "Do you need my glasses?" Sometimes, that feels like it might be a fair question. That was the high point of the day for the Wings, who lost by 26 to Vegas without Bueckers. They'll just be hoping she can be back soon, because as fun as her referee interactions are when she's not on the court, Bueckers is much more fun in the game.
