Superyacht summer is here so where are the Mediterranean's best yacht hotspots?
Dive into the region's most popular superyacht destinations with this selection from DailyMail.com.
Many of these gorgeous European hotspots have seen their fair share of celebrity visitors over the years.
Portofino, Italy
James Corden was seen in picturesque Portofino on Italy's stunning Riviera earlier this year. The fishing village has a particularly stunning harbor with colored buildings lining the shore.
YachtCharterFleet explains that 'the scenic beauty' of the 'idyllic Mediterranean' spot has 'made it one of the world's most desirable superyacht destinations'.
And Corden isn't the only celebrity to be a fan of the Italian beauty spot. Leonardo DiCaprio and Jeff Bezos are among the other famous faces to have holidayed in Portofino.
Ibiza, Spain
Known as one of Europe's premier party hotspots, Ibiza is also a top destination for superyacht holidays. Erling Haaland was seen on a jetski around the island.
The Balearic island's blend of 'natural beauty', 'vibrant culture' and 'unparalleled luxury' make it the ideal yachting destination, says Premium-YachtCharter.
Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, Justin Bieber and Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas are among the celebrities to have been spotted on yachts around the island.
St Tropez, France
A coastal town on the French Riviera, St Tropez has long been a haunt for the world's rich and famous.
It can be a pricey spot to moor a yacht but the French town's luxurious nightlife and designer boutiques ensure its harbor is usually full.
The Beckhams have been seen holidaying in St Tropez while Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck traveled there in 2021.
Monaco
One of Europe's smallest countries and one of its most luxurious, it's hardly surprising that Monaco a leading superyacht destinations.
Boat International says: 'The ultimate playground of the rich and famous, Monaco is a must-see superyacht hotspot on the French Rivieira.'
F1 star Lewis Hamilton reportedly keeps his superyacht in Monaco.
Sardinia, Italy
Home to some of Italy's most spectacular beaches, Sardinia is unsurprisingly one of the Mediterranean's top destinations for a superyacht holiday.
The Costa Smeralda, a stunning 35 mile stretch of coastline on the north of the island, is a particularly popular spot for superyachts.
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez were spotted soaking up the sun from Bezos' yacht in Sardinia in 2024 with celebrity guests including Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom.
Cannes, France
World-famous for the annual Cannes Film Festival, Cannes often hosts some of the globe's largest superyachts.
Lonely Planet reveals: 'Throughout the year, as you walk among the designer bars, couture shops and palaces of La Croisette, the wealth and glamour of this city cannot fail to impress.'
Kim Kardashian, Kylie Minogue and Heidi Klum are among the celebrities to have been seen at yacht parties during the Cannes Festival season.
Capri, Italy
The island of Capri in Italy's Bay of Naples is a world-class destination known for its natural beauty and upscale boutiques.
Jeff Bezos' yacht Koru has been spotted in Capri while Kris Jenner has also holidayed there.
The billionaire was recently photographed with his then fiance, Lauren Sanchez, ahead of their wedding in June.
Bonifacio, Corsica
A stunning walled medieval town in Corsica, Bonifacio has a modern marina and harbor.
Bonifacio's limestone cliffs offer spectacular views with plenty of inlets for watersports.
American businessman Magic Johnson recently holidayed on the Amadeus yacht in the region.
Malta
The island recently saw the arrival of around 400 celebrities on the Ritz-Carlton Luminara superyacht. Kendall Jenner, Naomi Campbell, Martha Stewart and Janelle Monae were among the guest list for the ultra-luxury yacht launch.
Malta's Marina di Valletta can accommodate superyachts in style while holidaymakers can also hop around the island's stunning coastline.
Popular stops include the island of Gozo and the gorgeous clear waters around Comino.
Barcelona, Spain
Although it's more frequently used as a winter base for superyachts, Barcelona's Marina Port Vell recently underwent a multimillion pound renovation.
The Marina has the longest dock in the Mediterranean and offers easy access to one of Spain's most vibrant destinations.
While the city's marina isn't the best spot for celeb spotting, several famous yachts including Steven Spielberg's Seven Seas have been seen docked there.
The Marina's website explains: 'As one of only a handful of genuine city-center marinas in the world, we have the best of Barcelona and Catalunya on our doorstep and Mediterranean hotspots and islands only a short cruise away.'

I've come to love the nudist beach

Homer is much praised, but I find him unreliable. The Mediterranean cove in which we were swimming, for example, was not in the least wine-dark. We were turning around and swimming back, the sights on display at the nudist end of the beach having startled the spluttering elegance of my head-above-water breast-stroke. 'I wouldn't mind if it was only young women,' I said to my wife, as we swam back. Rather than accepting my dispassionate nod toward prevailing cultural aesthetics, she replied she didn't mind in the slightest, and couldn't see the harm. An unspoken charge of puritanism hung in the air. 'It was just a bit too much like an outpatient clinic,' I said, and good-humoured sympathy swung back in my favour. 'Yes,' she agreed, also a veteran of long hours spent examining the exposed bodies of the ageing, the infirm and the worried well, 'too much human.' Henry James, after meeting George Eliot, wrote to his father that she was 'magnificently ugly – deliciously hideous. She has a low forehead, a dull grey eye, a vast pendulous nose, a huge mouth, full of uneven teeth and a chin and jaw-bone qui n'en finissent pas.' Yet James had an eye for character, and Eliot's was immense. 'So that you end as I ended, in falling in love with her,' he continued, 'a delightful expression, a voice soft and rich as that of a counselling angel – a mingled sagacity and sweetness – a broad hint of a great underlying world of reserve, knowledge, pride and power – a great feminine dignity and character in these massively plain features.' Love makes us beautiful in each other's eyes – or perhaps seeing the beauty in each other prompts us to love. But for strangers, who have flashed not their character but only their unexpected genitals, I feel no immediate fondness. And among the variety of human forms, many are unknown to the more sought-after branches of aesthetics. There is ugliness that only Goya can make beautiful. Letting it all hang out has never seemed an attractive rule for life. Discretion seems a better ambition. Pettiness, irritations and ill-considered prejudices are best kept hidden. Even hopes and loves and dreams are best exposed judiciously, and the same is true of flesh. Manners and thoughtfulness are as essential as clothes. Private life requires privacy and nudity should rarely arrive in one's life unrequested. Decades ago, a friend held his stag weekend in Madrid. He had some excuse for this, beyond the attractions of the city, since his fiancée was Spanish. He explained to her some of the traditions of British stag weekends, and that he felt a moral obligation to provide the sight of female flesh to his friends. She suggested we all went swimming one afternoon in an outdoor pool, where the normal Spanish presence of topless sunbathers would tick the box. They ignored us as much as we did them, and the debt to vulgar tradition was paid. Without a grim late-night visit to a strip club – an experience high on my list of those I plan to die without – I rose the next morning sufficiently fresh to visit the Prado. The Goyas were marvellous. I cannot find it in my heart to be glad that strip clubs exist – some things cross the line from bad taste to irretrievably mistaken – but that nude beaches continue to thrive gladdens my sour heart. De gustibus non est disputandum, goes the proverb; there's no arguing about taste. Yet was it Nietzsche – not a known authority on public nudity – who responded that life is nothing but an endlessly fascinating argument about taste? Something to it, I suspect. It is a cliché to say that life would be dull if we were all the same; a truism that the danger of this coming to pass is reassuringly low. Gerard Manley Hopkins's 'Pied Beauty' praised variety: Glory be to God for dappled things – For skies of couple-colour as a brinded cow; For rose-moles all in stipple upon trout that swim; Like Nietzsche, possibly Hopkins wasn't thinking of nudist beaches specifically. But variety in our tastes and our choices is the stuff of life. 'For what do we live, but to make sport for our neighbours,' says Jane Austen's Mr Bennet, 'and laugh at them in our turn?' That there exist people whose idea of a good time is taking off their clothes to get sun on their genitals and sand in their crevices is worth celebrating. Ideally, from a distance.

Skinny Lindsay Lohan turns heads in nude look while shopping in Beverly Hills

Lindsay Lohan looked super slim during a shopping trip in Los Angeles on Monday. The 39-year-old actress — who celebrated her July 2 birthday in Italy — was dressed in a clinging, nude-colored, matching set consisting of a T-shirt and leggings. Lohan, whose movie Freakier Friday hits theaters next month, punctuated her casual outfit with a pair of black sneakers. She carried her belongings in a small, black Hermès handbag and covered her eyes with a pair of dark designer sunglasses. Her lengthy, lustrous, bright blonde locks were parted down the middle as they fell over her chest in a subtle wave. In late June Lindsay shared a photo of her husband Bader Shammas and their nearly two-year-old son Luai during their Italian holiday. The Mean Girls sensation captioned the carousel post, 'Beautiful Italy. Cherishing this beautiful trip filled with incredible memories of love, laughter and pure bliss with my family ❤️ and very delicious food!' The post has so far racked up over 360,000 likes from her nearly 16 million followers. Days later she shared a single selfie with her husband and son as she wore a lacy yellow blouse and smiled ear-to-ear. She wrote that she was 'grateful,' and added a note in Italian that translates to: 'Unforgettable moments in Italy with my family.' In May the lifelong entertainer told Elle magazine she'd like for her son to have a sibling to play with. 'I feel like we live in a different world now, where women make it such a point, especially in motherhood, to make time for ourselves. 'We make it important. But also, once you have one kid, you're like, 'Oh, my kid needs a kid to play with,'' the silver screen siren shared. She also noted, 'I don't know if it's selfish — but I'm like, "I need more than one kid to take care of me when I'm older."' In November 2021, the Herbie: Fully Loaded actress took to Instagram to announce her engagement to Shammas. She showed off her diamond ring as she posed with her new fiancé, writing in the caption: 'My love. My life. My family. My future.' Lindsay wed her partner in 2022 and revealed the news by referring to him as her 'husband' in an Instagram message that she posted on her 36th birthday. Earlier this month she used the social media platform, where she boasts 15 million followers, to pay tribute to her now-husband on his birthday. She gushed, 'Happy Birthday to the love of my life. You're an incredible son, a devoted husband, and the most amazing father. Watching you with our family is the greatest gift. You make us feel safe, cherished, and loved. 'Every day by your side is a blessing and I'm so lucky to walk through life with you. I love you endlessly.'

Smitten Jennifer Aniston shows off holiday glow as her new love guru 'boyfriend' makes bold statement about romance

Jennifer Aniston arrived back in the states on Monday following a vacation with her rumored new boyfriend, hypnotist Jim Curtis, in Mallorca, Spain. Aniston wore loose-fitting light wash blue jeans, a tight white tank top, and a beige sunhat while deplaning with Jason Bateman and other friends in Los Angeles. On the travel day, the 56-year-old actress' latest suitor broke his silence about the getaway, waxing poetic about love and joy. 'I am back from vacation and what an experience!' he wrote in his online newsletter. 'When I was sick, sad, stuck and in pain I never thought I would have the abundance, joy and love I now experience on a daily basis,' he penned, according to Page Six. He added in the correspondence: 'I just took one step, made one decision and the next followed — now I look back and realize, oh! That course, that life change, that pain, resulted in this magic.' The actress' latest suitor waxed poetic about love and joy on Monday as he used his online newsletter to reflect on life, writing, 'I am back from vacation and what an experience!' Although he did not detail any information about the Mallorcan getaway, which saw the duo getting cozy on a yacht, he noted that 'the same life that brings struggle also brings opportunity.' He reminded his subscribers, 'The possibility of something better — more aligned, more free, more meaningful — is always here.' In conclusion, the wellness enthusiast Curtis encouraged his fans to get involved in his coaching group, per the outlet. Aniston is reportedly in a 'very good place right now' amid her budding connection with Curtis. On Sunday multiple sources confirmed to People that the pair is 'casually dating and having fun.' 'They've been seeing each other for a few months now,' one insider shared with the publication. 'They were introduced by a friend and started out as friends.' The Friends star is said to have enjoyed one of his books and 'was familiar with his work' before they hit it off. 'She's really into self-help and wellness. They are dating, but it's still casual,' the source emphasized. 'She's been happy on her own, but she's also open to sharing her life with someone. As long as it feels right.' In comparison to Jennifer's past relationships with public figures — like ex-husbands Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux — the source said Curtis is 'very different from anyone she's dated before' and that 'Jen has read just about every self-help book worth reading and Jim coming into her life has felt like fate.' 'It's been a meeting of minds. Jen feels very connected to Jim as they have the same level of emotional intelligence, unlike some of her previous suitors,' one of the people close to the couple shared. Their loved-up Mallorca sighting came weeks after they holidayed in Big Sur in June. learned Aniston and Curtis stayed at the five-star eco-friendly resort Ventana Big Sur, where they put on a 'cozy' display. The pair were seen 'cuddling up' at the hotel's restaurant, according to onlookers.
