ITV Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters branded 'far too dangerous' as viewers switch off
A number of ITV viewers have complained about the new celebrity reality show, Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters, with some threatening to switch it off altogether
ITV's latest celebrity reality show, SHARK! Celebrity Infested Waters, has made its debut, but it seems to have failed to win over TV viewers with its unique concept.
The programme, which premiered on ITV1 on Monday (14th July), features seven celebrities, including Sir Lenny Henry, Helen George, and Ross Noble, embarking on a dive expedition with renowned shark experts in The Bahamas.

The show's goal is to have the celebrities dive with sharks in their natural habitat, fostering a deeper appreciation and reduced fear of these marine animals. Each participant brought their own set of concerns, with Call the Midwife's Helen George admitting to a fear of water.

Despite its novel premise and star-studded lineup, the show didn't impress all viewers, reports the Express.

One ITV viewer expressed disappointment, stating: "Helen George on Celeb Shark programme. Annoying. Dont go on it. Thats it for me. Cant believe Im turning off a programme that has Rachel Riley on it,".
Meanwhile, another voiced concerns over the show's safety, commenting: "This celebrity shark thing shouldn't be shown its far too dangerous one of them have already been bit! @ITV stop showing this now! This can cause panic attacks."

On the flip side, some viewers were enthralled by the ITV show, calling it "amazing".

The recent ITV show, which arrives as the film JAWS celebrates its 50th anniversary, has elicited mixed feelings amongst the audience, echoing the polarised reactions of the celebrity participants.
Ahead of the show's debut, presenter Ross expressed scepticism: "When I first heard about it, I thought it was a wind-up," whereas Countdown star Rachel embraced it as "the chance of a lifetime."
Reflecting on her stint, actress Lucy said: "While it was incredible, I don't think I'll ever do shark diving again."

Outlander and The Dark Knight actor Colin McFarlane receives 'outstanding' honour

The Hollywood and Outlander star was presented with a special accolade Colin McFarlane, known for his roles in Outlander and The Dark Knight, has been honoured with an honorary degree from Loughborough University, reports the Express. ‌ The 63 year old British actor, writer, and producer, who portrayed the character of Gillian B. Loeb in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy, was recognised for his "outstanding contributions to the arts and his role in championing men's health issues" by the institution where he completed his studies. ‌ A graduate of Loughborough University, McFarlane earned a BA in Drama back in 1983 and went on to play the butler Ulysses in seasons four and five of Outlander opposite Maria Doyle Kennedy. The actor also later learnt he had an incredible connection to the Battle of Culloden. ‌ His versatile acting career includes roles alongside Liam Neeson in The Commuter, as well as appearances in Doctor Who, Father Brown, The Larkins, and more. In addition to his screen work, McFarlane is also celebrated for his voice acting, contributing to children's favourites such as Thomas & Friends, Peppa Pig, Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam, Hey Duggee, and even the Final Fantasy video game series. ‌ On the theatrical front, he has received critical praise for his stage work, including performances with Sir Lenny Henry in Fences, Sir Harold Pinter's The Collection, and starring roles opposite Corin Redgrave and later Steven Berkoff in Coriolanus. He is set to make his next appearance in the Doctor Who spin-off, The War Between the Land and the Sea, reprising his role as General Austin Pierce from Torchwood and Doctor Who. ‌ The upcoming series centres around the notorious Doctor Who villain, the Sea Devils, and features a star-studded cast including Russell Tovey, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jemma Redgrave, Shanice Archer and Ruth Madeley. In recent times, McFarlane has emerged as an advocate, speaking openly about prostate cancer following his own diagnosis in 2023, and encouraging others to undergo potentially life-saving checks. ‌ Moreover, he is the co-founder of the charity Justice4Windrush, which campaigns for compensation for the victims of the Windrush scandal and legal recognition of their right, and that of their descendants, to reside in the UK. Upon receiving the doctorate, McFarlane remarked: "I feel very lucky to be able to come back and be recognised for the work I've done. It's a wonderful full circle moment." This is where it all began, where the dreams began. ‌ "My younger self wouldn't believe that one day I'd be in a Batman movie, work with Liam Neeson, become the voice of an iconic game show, produce, direct and write, be offered lovely roles in Hollywood, and make my parents proud." And the bonus is that this has given me a platform to help other people. That wasn't something that was in my dream, but dreams evolve. ‌ So, yes, it's very special to come back to where it all began. "He also delivered an inspiring address to the graduating students: "You're at the beginning of your journeys, and we need your generation to step up and make a difference. "Nelson Mandela said 'education is the most powerful tool we have to change the world'. That's your superpower. Use it, and you can change the world."

Expert's BBQ cleaning hack only needs one common kitchen staple

Cleaning your barbecue grill has never been so easy thanks to his one hack shared by the Queen of Clean herself - and you just need this one kitchen staple ingredient Chefs are up on a sunny day in your garden with your friends and family during the summertime, which is what summer is all about - until it gets to the cleaning part. A cleaning expert has just revealed the ultimate life-saver hack that only needs a common kitchen ingredient. ‌ Over time, the barbecue accumulates a lot of dirt as the juices and the grease from the meats seep onto the racks. As they become hard over time, it makes it difficult to remove them. But instead of spending hours using a sponge and dish soap, trying to rub it off, this one hack might be the solution you've been looking for. ‌ ‌ ‌ Lynsey Crombie, also known as the Queen of Clean, shared her number one tip for when it's time to clean your barbecue grill, and all you need is an onion. How to clean your BBQ grill She captioned: "Heat the grill to a high temperature to loosen any stuck-on food and grime. Use an onion you have left over from your BBQ to save waste." Lynsey then told her followers to use a long-handled fork and rub the cut side of the onion over the boiling grill grates. Doing so will then help break down the residue using the onion's natural juices. She explained: "Onions have antibacterial properties that can help sanitise the grill, reducing the presence of harmful bacteria." ‌ Her fans flooded the comments section, thanking the Queen of Clean. Other fans also suggested alternative methods to remove the grease from the barbecue grill, ensuring it would be clean and ready for next time. One wrote: "Cleaning a grill is hard work. I'll be trying this next time,' with a second one adding: "This is genius." Another follower suggested: "I like to dip my onion in a bowl with some salt and oil. The salt acts like an abrasive and also seasons the grill. A hack learnt on holidays in Turkey, where BBQ is king!" With a staggering following count of 381k, Lynsey is also known for being a television personality. She gained fame appearing on Channel 4 's program, Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners. Following her stint, the cleaning expert has been sharing tips and tricks regularly on her social media platforms, as well as on ITV 's This Morning. Interestingly, Lynsey has a range of cleaning tools and has also published four books, with her most recent one being The 15 Minute Clean.

Strictly Come Dancing star 'signs up to I'm A Celebrity All Stars' as ITV prepare to jet celebrities to South Africa for series two

Seann Walsh is reportedly gearing up to go back on I'm A Me Out Of Here! All Stars version. The comedian, 39, hit headlines during his 2018 stint in Strictly Come Dancing when he was caught kissing his married dance partner Katya Jones on his then-girlfriend Rebecca Humphries' birthday. Seann originally jetted off to Australia for the ITV show in 2022 in the hope of 'redeeming himself' following the Strictly scandal four years prior. And during his time in the jungle Seann was popular with his campmates and viewers finishing in a respectable fifth place. Now the TV star is reportedly in advance talks with ITV about signing on the dotted line for the second series of the All Stars spin-off, which is due to be filmed in South Africa this year. A TV insider has told The Sun: 'When he went into the jungle in 2022 he very much did it in the hope of redeeming himself in the eyes of the viewing public. 'Which was no mean feat given he'd been branded an aggressive gaslighter as a result of his fling with Katya and his treatment of his girlfriend. 'Yet he managed to emerge as one of the more popular campmates and actually finished in a respectable fifth place in the contest. 'Part of the reason why he came across comparatively well was because he went into I'm A Celebrity with an even bigger love rat. 'His entry into the camp was alongside former Health Secretary Matt Hancock who was at the centre of an exclusive in The Sun revealing he had had an affair with a political adviser Gina Coladangelo in 2021.' MailOnline has contacted I'm A Celebrity and Seann's representatives for comment. The first All Stars series of the show aired in 2023, and brought back former campmates Myleene Klass, who finished in first place, as well as Helen Flanagan, Jordan Banjo, Shaun Ryder, Phil Tufnell and Carol Vorderman. It comes after Seann welcomed his second child, a son Casper with partner Grace Adderley earlier this year after keeping his partner's pregnancy a secret. Revealing the shock baby arrival, he posted a picture on his Instagram story of his daughter Wylda, two, who he shares with Grace. Alongside the picture of the little one with what looks like yoghurt on her head, he quipped: 'My first five minutes being left alone with Wylda and our newborn Casper. S*** just got real.' He then posted another picture, this time holding baby Casper, with Wylda sat in a high chair as the family ate lunch on a bench outside. Seann jokingly wrote: 'Gonna need a bigger boat'. Their baby news no doubt came as a surprise to fans as Seann and Grace never shared the news they were expecting. Seann first became a father in February 2023 after the couple welcomed daughter Wylda, and shared the happy news to Instagram. Taking to his stories, he shared a clip of himself as he sat in the hospital after the birth, saying: 'Grace has had our baby and I'm sat here in the very relaxing postnatal department, and the staff have been great. 'The nurses have been coming up to me all morning and congratulating me.' He then shared a post, which read: 'Oh btw. I passed out during the birth. Of course I did. The nurse's response... "Men." Fair.' The former Strictly Come Dancing revealed in October 2022 that he and his dance teacher girlfriend were having a baby. Speaking to a friend during an Instagram Live session at the time, Seann told a friend: 'I'm having a child.' Seann was then asked by the friend: 'So you're gonna be a dad?', before replying 'yeah' - with the unnamed man responding: 'That's worrying.' The funnyman then told his followers: 'Unbelievable. Everyone else has been really nice, that's the worst response yet.' Seann and Grace have been dating since 2019, but largely keep their relationship out of the spotlight.
