Lucien Laviscount praises Lily Collins for balancing motherhood with Emily in Paris filming

Yahoo19-06-2025
It's all action - and a bit of fizz - on the Emily in Paris set as Lucien Laviscount gives us the inside scoop on what it's really like filming the hit Netflix show with new mum Lily Collins. Now in its fourth season, the cast are currently shooting in Rome before heading back to Paris - but according to Lucien, the real star of the show is Lily, who's juggling motherhood with her leading-lady duties like a total pro.
'She's doing everything,' he tells us. 'She's got a newborn, she's doing it all — and she's doing it with such grace… I'm gonna use the word 'paza'. I've never used the word paza in my life, but she's got that.'
Lily welcomed her first child, Tove Jane McDowell, on January 31, 2025, via surrogacy with her husband, Charlie McDowell, sharing the good news on Instagram at the time.

Lucien, 32, who plays heartthrob Alfie in the series, says reuniting with the cast has been like no time has passed at all. 'It's so bizarre… life's been going on for everyone, but it only feels like a couple of weeks,' he says. 'We're getting the scripts through, it's like, 'Oh sh*t, this is crazy.' It's going off!'
He also had us laughing talking about his Schweppes campaign — a cheeky nod to his Caribbean roots and growing up with ginger beer at his grandma's. 'Schweppes was like the fancy stuff we bring out at Christmas,' he shared, adding with a grin, 'It was like a perfect little match, to be honest.'
Filming continues over the summer with plenty of drama ahead - both on screen and off - and Laviscount promises this season is one to watch. 'Everyone's really excited about what's to come,' he says. 'It's all there to play for, really.' Fizzing with energy, we say!
After months away from filming Emily In Paris, Lily's return to set was always going to be a welcoming affair. But Netflix star brought the entire set to a standstill as she returned to work with her four month old daughter in tow.
Back in January, Lily and Charlie welcomed their daughter via surrogate. Sharing her happy news with her 29 million followers, Lily posted: "Welcome to the center [sic] of our world Tove Jane McDowell. Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way. We love you to the moon and back again…"
Unfortunately, both Lily and Charlie were criticised by a few people on social media for using the aid of a surrogate to fulfil their dreams of becoming parents, as they claimed they had bought the privilege.
While others likened surrogacy to "human trafficking." This forced Charlie to publicly address the comments and labelled the comments as "unkind."
He wrote: "It's OK to not know why someone might need a surrogate to have a child. It's OK to not know the motivations of a surrogate regardless of what you assume."
A month after the birth, Lily took to Instagram once again to share with fans how Valentines Day took on a new meaning for her now that she was a mother. On February 14, she wrote: "I truly can't imagine feeling more love. Valentine's Day (and every day) just got a whole lot sweeter.'
Lucien Laviscount is Schweppes' brand ambassador - starring in two short films, featuring its new purple Tropical Soda, to inspire more of those special social moments with loved ones this summer.

Emily Ratajkowski Posted a Nude Mom Photo Dump — but the Commenters Shamed Something Else Entirely

Emily Ratajkowski's latest photo dump had all the usual ingredients for a good old-fashioned mom-shaming: sun-drenched selfies, summer fashion, a glimpse of her 4-year-old son Sly — and yes, a fully nude sunbathing shot tossed casually into the mix. But this time, the Instagram comment section didn't go after her for the nudity. They pivoted, fast. The carousel showed Ratajkowski enjoying a late-summer trip to Italy. Her followers saw trattoria snaps, an Alfa Romeo Spider, and her son dancing by an olive tree. Nestled in among the scenic views and toddler candids was a photo of the model reclining nude on a lounge chair, wearing nothing but a red baseball cap and a look that said, yes, I know what I'm doing. Historically, this would've sparked the usual cycle of 'you're a mom, put some clothes on!' — the kind of criticism she's fielded for years. More from SheKnows Jennifer Love Hewitt Reveals About Red Carpet Doubts at 46 - & Why She Showed up Anyway Instead? A full 180. 'You need to eat a few peanut butter and jelly sandwiches,' one commenter wrote. 'You're very beautiful young woman, but your rib cage not so.' Another chimed in: 'When you start seeing the whole rib cage it means you might need to put some weight on.' Others speculated about medication — 'Stop with the Wegovy 💉💉' — or offered their own strange diet solutions, like one who asked, 'Emily can I offer you a porcupine sandwich? It's a typical Italian food.' (You can see the photos on her Instagram.) It wasn't just the usual trolls, either. Several commenters attempted to cloak the critique in concern: 'I'm not one to typically say this,' one wrote, 'but this is looking unhealthy. Take care of yourself whatever health struggles you're going through.' This kind of body policing — especially toward mothers — is nothing new for Ratajkowski. In recent years, she's been slammed for everything from being 'too sexy' to dressing her son in clothes strangers deemed 'not good enough.' In early 2024, she posted, 'Shame on you all,' after her comments were filled with strangers telling her she didn't 'deserve to be a mom.' This week's backlash might've shifted its focus, but the message remains the same: If you're a mother in the public eye, the internet will always find a new way to tell you you're doing something wrong. Giorgio Armani Marks His Brand's 50th Year With Multiple Celebrations

Designer Giorgio Armani (Photo by Barbara White Sloan/WWD/Penske Media via Getty Images) It seems 1975 was a good year for design. Several brands, mainly Italian, are celebrating 50th anniversaries in 2025. To wit, Roberto Cavalli, Santoni, John Hardy, and the "King of Fashion" himself, Giorgio Armani, are all marking significant milestones this year. When the Northern Italian-born designer founded his namesake label at 41, he was already well-regarded in the industry, having established himself as a menswear designer at Cerrutti 1881, a freelance fashion designer for brands Allegri, Bagutta, Gibò, and Montedoro, among others, and his early career included roles in sales and as a window dresser at La Rinascente. With the support of friend Sergio Galeotti, he founded Giorgio Armani S.p.A. in Milan on July 24th, 1975. Now at 91, Mr. Armani is still at the helm of his namesake brand with plans to retire in the next year or so. To celebrate the anniversary, the brand has announced an exhibit and pop-up to mark the occasion. The Giorgio Armani Pop-up at the Sunset Beach Hotel in Shelter island. In Milan, the designer will launch the Armani/Archivio project on Saturday, August 30th, during the Venice Film Festival. Armani/Archivo is an interactive digital platform that showcases content curated from a comprehensive cataloging of the Giorgio Armani collections, aiming to preserve the brand's pioneering legacy while serving as a bridge between past and future. In the coming months, the platform will be housed in a physical site just outside of Milan. Additionally, the brand is planning celebrations during the upcoming Milan Fashion Week, also known as MFW, centered on the debut of its Spring 2026 women's collections. On Wednesday, September 24th, Giorgio Armani will open a curated showcase to the public at the Pinacoteca di Brera gallery. It's a first for the 'Brera Art Gallery, the main public gallery regarded as having one of the foremost collections of Italian paintings dating from the 13th to the 20th centuries. It is also the first time they have hosted an exhibition of fashion, featuring over 150 archival Giorgio Armani looks spanning the brand's five decades. Rounding out the week will be the closing show of MFW in the historic Courtyard of Honour at Palazzo Brera, featuring the Giorgio Armani Spring/Summer 2026 Women's Collection alongside select menswear looks from the collection presented in June. Actress Mamie Gummer attends the Giorgio Armani But the brand is busy with some other activations this summer on this side of the Atlantic before the big 50thfete. Coinciding with the same anniversary date, the brand unveiled its first Giorgio Armani Mare pop-up Stateside, featuring the 2025 collection. After launching several iterations in some of the world's most coveted summer destinations such as Porto Cervo, Capri, and Cannes, the coastal lifestyle collection—which includes swimwear, resort wear, linen tailoring, beachside ready accessories, towels, and more—will be the focus of a pop-up at Sunset Beach on Shelter Island. To toast the 10-day ephemeral boutique and the summer collection inspired by easy Amalfi Coast living, the brand hosted a sunset cocktail event that brought the Mediterranean lifestyle to the Hamptons. The popular hotel—located on the island affectionately referred to as the "Island of Peace" and situated between Long Island's North and South Forks—has transformed its façade, game room, and beachfront to evoke a beachfront vis-à-vis tropical palms in shades of grey and turquoise with contrasting warm wooden tones of flooring. Inside the Giorgio Armani pop up on Shelter Island. Guests included Linda Fargo, Mamie Gummer, André Balazs, Tracy Margulies, Kristina O'Neill, Leandra Medine Cohen, Mei Kwok, Pamela Tick, and Dora Fung of 10 Magazine US, who shared activities such as dog-friendly beach time, backgammon, al fresco dining, and dancing as part of the opening event celebrations on her Instagram feed.

Ellie Goulding flaunts toned physique in multiple bikinis during sun-soaked Italian holiday

Ellie Goulding is living it up on her European vacation. The 38-year-old "Lights" singer posted a series of photos on Instagram from her Italian vacation, captioning the post, "Carbs IT." The carousel of photos not only featured the singer sightseeing but also a few bikini photos. In one photo, Goulding can be seen lying on a lounge chair poolside, while wearing an olive-green string bikini. The star can be seen basking in the sun as she held open a book in one hand. Another photo showed Gouldig reading the same book, this time dressed in a black bikini, which she paired with round black and gold sunglasses. The post also featured a selfie of Goulding in the same black bikini, as she posed for the photo indoors. She also took some time to relax on the beach, as she posed for a photo on a dock in the ocean, while wearing a brown bikini with a black pattern design on it. She gave the camera a slight smile as she held a tropical drink. Other photos in the post show the singer enjoying the beautiful views of Italy, exploring the city's ruins, as well as the architecture and the art. "Italy looks so good on you," one fan wrote in the comments section. Another added, "drop the lifting routine ellie omg," while a third chimed in with "Stunningly beautiful." Goulding recently performed her cover of Elton John's hit, "Your Song," at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos' wedding reception in Venice, Italy. Opera singer Andrea Bocelli's son, Matteo Bocelli, also performed at the reception, singing a cover of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" as the newlyweds' first dance song. This isn't the first time Goulding has sung her version of "Your Song" at a famous couple's wedding reception, as she previously performed the song at Prince William and Kate Middleton's second wedding reception after they tied the knot April 29, 2011, in London. The Prince and Princess of Wales shared their first dance to Goulding's cover of the famous song. Goulding made headlines in August 2023 when a video of her getting hit with a firework during her performance at the Victorious Festival in Portsmouth, U.K. went viral on social media. "To those asking I am ok! Pyro didn't hit me directly in the face. Face is intact. Love you thank you x," Goulding wrote on her Instagram stories following the accident. A video from the performance shows Goulding attempting to shield her face from the rogue firework, and she could be heard exclaiming, "F---," before going on with the show. The incident occurred while she was performing her song "Miracle," which she collaborated on with Calvin Harris, when one of the on-stage pyrotechnics malfunctioned and seemed to hit her in the face.
