Kepa Arsenal transfer details: Fee, contract length, shirt number

Arsenal's pursuit of Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga was relatively straightforward, as the player had a £5m release clause in his contract.

No club-to-club negotiations were necessary, and the Gunners quickly convinced the Spaniard to join in a backup role as an alternative to David Raya.
Multiple sources including The Athletic and the BBC have now confirmed that Arsenal agreed a three-year deal with Kepa, tying him down until 2028.

As seen above, Arsenal themselves have confirmed Kepa's shirt number with his new club, taking 13. Raya holds the number 1 shirt after the club confirmed his change from 22 back in May.
As for wages, there are no reliable reports on what Kepa will earn at Arsenal. Nizaar Kinsella reports for the BBC that the goalkeeper was initially earning £190,000 a week at Chelsea, but those wages were reduced when he signed a new contract with the club last year.

It's unlikely Arsenal would have bumped Kepa's terms back up, given his likely rotation role with the club.

Arsenal will hope he brings those same traits to north London, where he'll likely often have to settle for a spot on the bench.

Madueke agrees to Arsenal terms as Chelsea announce Gittens transfer
Noni Madueke has reportedly agreed personal terms with Arsenal, while Chelsea have announced the signing of Jamie Gittens in the summer transfer window. The 20-year-old joins the Blues on a seven-year contract after the Blues agreed a transfer fee worth up to £55.5 million with Borussia Dortmund. Advertisement Chelsea had hoped to sign Gittens before the FIFA Club World Cup after agreeing terms with the winger, but could not reach an agreement with BVB. He will not be able to make his debut during the tournament as he is now cup-tied. Madueke agrees to Arsenal terms as Chelsea announce Gittens transfer The arrival of the Reading native paves the way for Madueke, who plays in the same position as the newcomer, to leave Stamford Bridge this summer. Arsenal are 'considering' making an approach to Chelsea after Madueke gave the move the 'green light', The Athletic reports. However, the clubs are yet to discuss a possible deal. Advertisement Despite the fact the England international is coming off his most productive campaign, scoring seven goals in 32 Premier League appearances, reports emerged last month that the Blues are willing to listen to offers for the player. Arsenal already possess two first-team right wingers in Bukayo Saka and Ethan Nwaneri, but Madueke can also play on the left flank. Madueke, who spent time at both Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace's academies, joined Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven for a £28.5 million transfer fee in January 2023. He has since gone on to score 20 goals in 93 appearances in all competitions and helped the team win the UEFA Conference League last season. He has been capped seven times for the Three Lions. Brazil striker Igor Jesus joins Nottingham Forest after starring at Club World Cup
NOTTINGHAM, England — Brazil striker Igor Jesus, one of the stars of the ongoing Club World Cup, signed for Nottingham Forest from Botafogo on Saturday. The 24-year-old center forward scored twice for Botafogo at the tournament taking place in the United States, including the decider against Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain. Igor Jesus joined Botafogo from UAE team Shabab Al Ahli in July 2024 and and his impressive domestic form earned him a first call-up by Brazil for World Cup qualifiers in October and November. He scored on his debut, against Chile. 'I'm really happy to be a part of this new story, especially at a club like Nottingham Forest,' Igor Jesus said. 'I didn't have to think twice about the offer, I embraced it. I embraced the project that they sent me. I am delighted to be coming here and hope to do some great work.' Forest finished in seventh place in the Premier League last season after being in the Champions League places for much of the campaign. ___ AP soccer:
