The Gers have already added three new players this summer.
Lyall Cameron, Max Aarons and Joe Rothwell have all signed-on to be a part of things at Ibrox in Russell Martin's first season in charge.
They could soon be joined by Nasser Djiga.
The 22-year old plays for Premier League outfit Wolves.
Capped eight times by Burkina Faso, Djiga only joined the Midlands club in January.
He made the move from Red Star Belgrade in a £10m deal on a contract until 2030.
According to the Express & Star, Rangers are in talks with Wolves over a straight loan deal to take Djiga to Ibrox.
There isn't expected to be an option for the Gers to by him as part of the agreement.
Djiga had been a regular for Serbian giants Red Star during the first half of the campaign but found opportunities relatively hard to come by after moving to Wolves.
He made just six appearances across league and cup after making his big move.
Only two of those were from the start, with Djiga having to wait until the final game of the season to make his first Premier League appearance from the off.

Pedro Neto plays through tears after Diogo Jota message in Chelsea match

Chelsea winger Pedro Neto led touching tributes to his friend and former teammate Diogo Jota in the Blues' Cup World Cup clash with Palmeiras overnight. Jota, 28, and his brother Andre were killed in a car accident in northwestern Spain in the early hours of Thursday morning when the Lamborghini they were travelling in crashed after a tyre blew out. A wake was held in Jota's hometown of Gondomar on Friday with a funeral for the brothers to take place on Saturday morning. There has been an outpouring of mourning for the Liverpool star with former captain Jordan Henderson among the thousands to leave flowers in his honour at Anfield. Jota's last game of football was helping Portugal win the Nations League just last month with some of his countrymen returning to action immediately after the tragic news broke. Chelsea winger Neto played alongside Jota at Wolves before the latter joined Liverpool and have been part of the Portugal set up together for a number of years. Neto was given the option of sitting out of Chelsea's Club World Cup quarter-final game against Palmeiras, which took place in Philadelphia overnight with the Blues progressing to the next round after a 2-1 win. The 25-year-old, Chelsea's top scorer in the competition started the game, playing 87 minutes. As has been the case at every match since the tragic news broke, a minute's silence was observed ahead of kick-off with Neto emerging from the tunnel holding a Chelsea shirt with the names of Diogo and Andre printed on the back. Neto fought back tears during the moment of silence, holding the shirt aloft along with teammate Enzo Fernandez. He went on to turn in a fine performance to help his side reach the semi-finals of the competition. More Trending Two more of Jota's countrymen in Ruben Neves and Joao Cancelo were also in Club World Cup action on Friday with their side Al-Hilal beaten by Fluminense. As a picture of Diogo and Andre was displayed on the big screen, the former Premier League stars were overcome with emotion, comforted by their teammates. Jota's Liverpool teammates have shared hugely emotional tributes to their teammate in recent days with the squad and manager Arne Slot arriving in Portugal to attend his funeral. McInnes pleased with pre-season training camp

Goals from Alan Forrest and James Wilson, plus an own goal, allowed Hearts to round off their pre-season training camp with a 3-1 victory over Crawley Town in Spain. Sussex-based Crawley, who compete in EFL League Two, the fourth tier of the English league system, reduced the deficit to 2-1 before half-time, but the Jambos saw the game out at La Finca and Lawrence Shankland was introduced for the last 20 minutes of the game providing him with valuable pitch time. Hearts' head coach, Derek McInnes, told the club's social media that he was pleased with what he has seen during the week-long workout in Spain. The boss added: 'It is always nice to win, and for the players to get the reward for hard work.' The camp, he added, had been 'an absolute joy' and he said that the players on the trip 'have knocked their pan in'. McInnes admitted that it had been difficult to manage the playing time in Spain with more than 20 players on the trip and focusing on the vicory against Crawley, McInnes said it was very competitive and Hearts stood up to the challenge. He added: 'We were playing against a team who wanted to dominate the ball and remain in possession. Our press was good, our effort to win the ball back was terrific, and I thought there were signs about the team we want to be. '(It was) good to score from a set play, good to score three goals, James Wilson's goal was top class, and we could have had one or two more. Happy with the effort, happy with the week and it is just over two weeks since we came back to The Oriam. 'We have a good few training sessions before we play Dunfermline at Tynecastle.' Hearts have a closed doors game before they meet The Pars on Saturday, July 12 (17.15) in the Scottish League Cup, and, reflecting on the week in Spain, the new boss added: 'I've had a look at the lads, they have had a look at us (the coaching staff) and what we are demanding from them. 'Everybody is bursting to play their part and they (the players) have given me and the staff selection problems. That is the way it should be at a club like Hearts. There should be competition to play, and I believe we have got that.' Overall, he added: 'We are getting there, but we are not perfect, by a long shot, and, with a couple of additions, I think you would see a better balance overall. The lads we have been working with have been outstanding in terms of their effort.' However, he indicated that some players in the squad will be moving on once the competitive action begins as he admitted: 'We are a bit overloaded in certain areas.' Meanwhile, reports suggest that the Men in Maroon have two transfer targets, Burkina Faso international, Pierre Landry Kabore, who is playing in Estonia, and Albanian winger Sabah Kerjota who is currently with an Italian club. And McInnes confirmed that AEK Athens have met the valuation placed on 26-year-old, Livingston-born defender, James Penrice, by the Tynecastle club. He described the potential move, reported to be in the region of £2m, as a 'fantastic opportunity' for the player signed by Hearts as a free transfer from Livingston, and a man who had an outstanding first season at Gorgie. McInnes said: 'It looks as if he will be leaving. For that I am sad, but pleased for the boy.' Like this: Like Related

Man Utd to launch opening offer for summer transfer target after opening talks

Manchester United have a number of targets in their eyes as they attempt to add to Ruben Amorim's squad and it appears that they have decided to finally table an offer for one Manchester United are set to launch their opening bid for Botafogo star John Victor as they search for a new goalkeeper. A reshuffle between the sticks was anticipated this summer, with Andre Onana 's future looking uncertain. The former Inter Milan man has endured an inconsistent spell at Old Trafford since his arrival from Italy. It has been suggested that the Red Devils are open to letting Onana leave on loan this summer. ‌ And a few potential replacements have already been touted for him. Aston Villa star Emi Martinez is expected to be right at the top of their list, while Porto star Diogo Costa and Cruz Azul number one Kevin Mier have also been linked. ‌ Meanwhile Botafogo stopper John Victor emerged as a potential target following his starring role for the Brazilian side at the Club World Cup. It now appears that United are ready to make a tangible move. According to Goal Brazil, United have already submitted an enquiry to Botafogo and after a few meetings, they are ready to table an official offer. Victor would certainly be a more affordable option for the Red Devils given he has a £5.8m release clause written into his contract with his current club. Speaking last year, Victor's agent Pedro Gutierrez admitted that there was growing interest in the goalkeeper. He said: 'I have had many phone calls from clubs in Europe enquiring about John and that is no surprise after what he has achieved with Botafogo. "There has been interest from clubs in England, Germany, Portugal and elsewhere, but John would prefer to play in the best league in the world – the Premier League. Liverpool and Manchester City both have Brazilian goalkeepers in Alisson and Ederson and they have both been successful in England. "John would like the opportunity to emulate those two and become the latest Brazilian goalkeeper to showcase his talents in the Premier League". ‌ Who else should Man United sign this summer? Share your thoughts in the comments below A potential move for Victor comes just weeks after Onana failed to commit his future to the Red Devils. Asked if he was set to stay at Old Trafford beyond this summer, he replied: "Will I leave? I don't know, we'll see!" Meanwhile, alternative target Emi Martinez also made some telling comments regarding his own commitment to Aston Villa. Speaking in the summer, he said: 'My future? I don't know, I come here to play for the national team, and that's the only thing that matters to me right now," Martinez said. "Do I want to move to a new club? The transfer window just opened, so there's still a long way to go." Join our new MAN UTD WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Manchester United content from Mirror Football.
