Rachel Zegler broke down in tears after receiving a standing ovation for her performance in Evita.
Newsweek contacted Zegler's representative for comment via email on Tuesday.
The Context
Zegler, 24, stars as Argentine politician Eva Perón in a revival of Evita at the London Palladium. The original production by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice debuted in 1978.
The Snow White actress previously came under fire over her comments about the live-action remake. In a 2022 interview with Extra, she criticized the animated version of the film. "The original cartoon came out in 1937 and very evidently so. There's a big focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her. Weird. Weird!" Zegler said. "So we didn't do that this time."
Zegler, who won a Golden Globe for her performance in West Side Story, has also received backlash over her stance on the ongoing conflict in Gaza. In May 2021, she wrote on X, formerly Twitter, "It will always be free palestine." Following President Donald Trump's electoral victory in November, Zegler issued a foulmouthed tirade against him, receiving further criticism in the process.

On June 28, Instagram user @fabxo shared the original clip, writing in the caption, "Forever grateful I got to see @rachelzegler shine in Evita!"
In the video, Zegler laughs and cries. She appears to say, "I don't know what to do," and one of her colleagues puts his hand on her back.
At the time of publication, @fabxo's post had racked up more than 381,000 views, and Zegler herself liked the post.
User @ZeglerSource, a fan account on X, also posted the clip, garnering another 1.3 million views. X user @DiscussingFilm raked in an additional 3.4 million views.
In an interview posted on Evita's official Instagram account, Zegler told director Jamie Lloyd that she was "quite obsessed" with the musical growing up. She added that her dad used to sing "Don't Cry for Me Argentina," one of the show's hit songs, around the house.

User @rainbowperformer said: "She's so real for that. I can't imagine how she must feel having her dreams come true."
What Happens Next
Zegler is set to star in Evita for 12 weeks. However, according to the show's website, she will not be performing on several upcoming Mondays. On July 14, July 28, August 11 and August 25, her castmate Bella Brown is scheduled to play the role of Eva Perón.

Lena Dunham slams ‘insane' obsession over the ‘shape of my body'
This girl isn't here for the online chatter. Lena Dunham is opening up about the public's unsolicited opinions on her body while she was starred on the HBO Max series 'Girls,' from 2012 to 2017. 'I expected that people would have a response to the kind of sex the show was depicting or the level of nudity, but the idea that my body, the shape of my body, would become such a hotbed for discussion? It was insane,' the actress, 39, said while speaking to The Times on Saturday. Advertisement 9 Lena Dunham attends the 'Too Much' UK Special Screening. Getty Images In 2013, Howard Stern called the Netflix star 'a little fat girl,' and a year later, the magazine Jezebel offered $10,000 for the original picture of her Vogue cover to prove it had been retouched. The writer also touched on Ozempic, a Semaglutide injection used to treat type 2 diabetes, which is now also being used for weight loss. Advertisement Dunham dubbed the current day and age an 'Ozempiced-out moment,' while asking, 'Does the body positivity movement still exist?' and noting, 'I don't know where it is.' Once 'Girls,' which followed a group of friends post-college, went off the air eight years ago, Dunham intentionally stepped out of the limelight. 9 Lena Dunham in 2022. lenadunham/Instagram 9 Lena Dunham poses in June. lenadunham/Instagram Advertisement She ended up moving to London in 2021 after her breakup with Jack Antonoff. 'I spent my whole twenties pretending to go out in the city and pretending to live, so I didn't actually know how to do it at all. When the show ended I didn't know what direction to move in. I wasn't young enough to be out and feeling fun and free. 'I felt fatigued, yet didn't know how to mature [in New York]. I didn't know how to grow up there. I remember my father asked, 'Can you boil an egg?' And me being like, I think so? You just put it in water?'' 9 Lena Dunham. lenadunham/Instagram She also 'felt like all the maturing and changing that had been kept at bay by the experience of being in that cocoon of ['Girls'] was suddenly happening at a speed that was overwhelming,' she confessed to the outlet. 'It was a painful metamorphosis.' Now, Dunham is back in the spotlight with 'Too Much,' an autobiographical rom-com starring Megan Stalter. 'I'm not going to make the Polly Pocket movie,' she told the New Yorker. 'I wrote a script, and I was working on it for three years.' Advertisement 9 Lena Dunham in 'Girls.' What a f–king gift that is. And Nora Ephron, too, who was such a mentor to me, but always said, 'Go be weird. Don't kowtow to anyone.'' The reason why Dunham didn't cast herself as the lead in 'Too Much' was simple. 'I was not willing to have another experience like what I'd experienced around 'Girls' at this point in my life,' she said.

‘Get well, daddy': Here's why David Beckham was just seen in the hospital
On the mend. David Beckham fans may have been a tad concerned Friday when his wife Victoria posted a reel of him in a hospital bed. The ex-Spice Girl's caption: 'Get well, daddy, with no explanation. Turns out what landed him there wasn't that serious: Beckham underwent a procedure to fix an old injury. Surgeons had to remove a screw that had been placed in the retired soccer star's right arm after a fall that broke his wrist during a game between England and South Africa back in 2003, The Sun reports. The British outlet posted a clip of the painful run-in with Thabang Molefe four minutes into the second half. The screw was apparently intended to dissolve over time, but did not, causing the father of four considerable discomfort through the years. In a followup video, Victoria, 51, posted a video of her 50-year-old hubby tending to their garden at their Costwolds compound in the U.K., as per People magazine. 'Overperforming on the cucumber front, Sir David!!!' read the designer's text over screen, referring to the knight to be's impending title. The Inter Miami co-owner was well enough by Sunday to attend the FIFA Club World Cup game vs. his old team, Paris Saint-Germain, in Atlanta. On Instagram, Becks shared pics from the field at Mercedes-Benz Stadium sporting a large bandage. 'It's fine. It's an old injury that needed surgery,' he said in an interview with a reporter before the match-up. 'It's all good.'
