Brad Pitt makes shock confession about his own on set behavior that shut down filming

Daily Mail03-07-2025
Brad Pitt has confessed that he once caused production on one of his movies to shut down because he couldn't stop farting.
The Hollywood actor, 61, revealed he had been filming in a small café with 60 people on the set when 'nature took its course' and the crew swiftly evacuated.
For the scene, Pitt had to quickly eat a huge plate of beans and bacon because his character hadn't eaten for several days.
And being the A-list star that he is, Pitt opted to go 'method' and ate the food that was laid out in front of him.
Speaking to brothers Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce on their New Heights podcast, he recalled: 'I just powered down this plate of beans.
'Take two, do the same thing. Take three, I do the same thing. Take four, I do the same thing. Something hit me.
'There was nothing I could do. I was stuck in this chair, nature took its course.'
At first, Pitt believed he might have evaded any notice, but seconds later the entire crew 'fled the cafe.'
'And then, suddenly, the entire crew, the most diabolical something-something descended on the crew in the whole room, and they fled the café,' he continued. 'Fled.
'Ever since then, I pace myself.'
While Pitt didn't name the movie that he let his foul stench wreak havoc on, he did eat baked beans in Tom DiCillo's 1991 film Johnny Suede.
On the same podcast, Pitt revealed that only two women have ever left him stars truck.
'When I first met Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon, I was. Yeah,' the two-time Oscar winner admitted of feeling initially stars truck around his former Thelma & Louise costars.
He continued: 'I got over it quickly, though.'
Pitt's role in the 1991 film, Thelma & Louise, propelled him to stardom as the charming and charismatic hitchhiker, J.D., who sleeps with Thelma (Davis), before stealing her money and vanishing.
Previously, the father-of-six praised Davis for being 'so sweet and kind and delicate' during their sex scene during an interview with W Magazine in 2023.
'That love scene, I think, went on for two days of shooting. She took care of me,' he told the publication.
Despite still establishing his name in Hollywood, at the time, Sarandon said the then-rising star 'really impressed' her with 'his sense of humor' in addition to 'his good looks and great body.'
'I thought, "Ah, this guy's interesting, you know, he's not just a really gorgeous face,"' she told Extra in 2021.
The Dead Man Walking went on to note that Pitt has 'continued to push the envelope' throughout his career.
During his interview with the Kelce brothers, Pitt shared his love for Travis' team, the Kansas City Chiefs.
This prompted Taylor Swift's boyfriend, Travis, 35, to apologize for their Super Bowl loss.
'We got you this year. I let you down,' the tight end told the actor.
Pitt replied that hardships were 'what makes sports movies so special.'
'That's what I mean about life. Life throws struggles your way. Sometimes everything goes quiet, it's perfection, it's sublime. Other periods, life throws these struggles at you and it's how you deal with those and how you come back from those,' Pitt explained.

Dr. Phil launching new media network of ‘citizen journalists' after his first one goes bankrupt

Celebrity psychologist Dr Phil McGraw is launching a new media network that will provide opportunities for 'citizen journalists' to share their stories, less than two weeks after a similar venture went bankrupt. Envoy Media Co. will include 'live, balanced news, original entertainment programming, and immersive viewer experiences,' according to a press release shared by The Hollywood Reporter. It comes after McGraw's conservative-leaning cable network, Merit Street Media, filed for bankruptcy earlier this month, barely a year after its launch, while also suing its distribution partner, Trinity Broadcasting, for breach of contract. THC reported that Envoy Media will also include library programming and original shows from McGraw and his friend and fellow TV star Steve Harvey, who also collaborated on Merit Street. The release included that the network's app would also 'provide an opportunity for citizen journalists to share news and stories from their communities while seamlessly integrating curated user-generated content on a national scale.' In a statement following the announcement of the new network, McGraw said: 'As always, my commitment and that of the Envoy network team is to focus on real people, facing real challenges, seeking real solutions. 'By talking about things that matter to people who care, presenting facts, encouraging people to think critically, they can make up their own minds. Our disruptive technology will engage Envoy viewers at an unprecedented level in real time.' McGraw's previous attempt at a multi-platform media company came in late 2023, following his successful two-decade run as a popular daytime talk show host. Merit Street Media featured a Dr. Phil primetime program as its flagship show. 'Merit Street Media will be a resource of information and strategies to fight for America and its families, which are under a cultural 'woke' assault as never before," McGraw said in a statement at the time. 'I love this country and I believe family is the backbone of our society. Together we are going to stand strong and fight for the very soul and sanity of America and get things that matter back on track.' However, roughly four months after its official launch in April 2024, Merit Street laid off roughly 40 employees – around one-third of its total staff. In a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in the Northern District Court of Texas, Merit Street cited a 'severely strained liquidity position' and the inability to secure additional capital as reasons for the declaration. The subsequent lawsuit against Trinity alleged that the broadcaster 'reneged on its obligations and abused its position as the controlling shareholder of Merit Street,' leaving the channel with over $100 million in debt. 'These failures by TBN were neither unintended nor inadvertent,' the lawsuit read. 'They were a conscious, intentional pattern of choices made with full awareness that the consequence of which was to sabotage and seal the fate of a new but already nationally acclaimed network.'

Sarah Michelle Gellar, 48, has a youthful glow next to husband Freddie Prinze Jr after sharing her diet secrets

Sarah Michelle Geller looked sensational on Monday evening at the Los Angeles premiere of the reboot for I Know What You Did Last Summer. The 48-year-old blonde had on a frilly mini-dress with a cheerful butterfly-inspired pattern that flashed the flesh as she showed off a summer tan and toned figure. The TV veteran added orange pumps and a matching boxy clutch purse that picked up the orange hue in her fancy frock. Her blonde hair was pulled back a bit as curtain bangs framed her famous face while she added whimsical earrings. The Buffy The Vampire Slayer veteran was on the arm of her 49-year-old husband of 23 years, actor Freddie Prinze Jr. They met in 1998. Prinze looked dapper in a navy blue suit as he displayed his silver fox-esque salt-and-pepper hair and goatee. Last year Sarah shared her diet tips as she credited meal preparation. She takes time to grocery shop and set aside exactly what she needs to get through the day. For breakfast she makes an egg that she pairs with avocado toast which provides protein and good fats. 'An avocado toast is a great way to get protein,' she told Eating Well. 'I love to put an egg on top of my avocado toast. And you can put a great burrata, a little cheese, on top for protein. That is certainly No. 1.' For lunch Sarah goes for a Buddha bowl which includes brown rice, chicken, cabbage and cucumbers with soy sauce and honey. Dinner might be a Mediterranean chicken quinoa salad or fish with vegetables. Then there are the workouts. Gellar's fitness routine is varied and includes Pilates, strength training, and hiking. She's been incorporating weight training more recently and enjoys Pilates classes using machines like the Megaformer. She also enjoys hiking with her family and dogs. Additionally, she uses streaming workout services when traveling. The TV veteran added orange pumps and a matching boxy clutch purse that matched the orange in her fancy frock In April she shared the secret to marital success. Apparently the answer has to do with having one's own personal space. The actress who was in Paris for Fashion Week in March, shared the secret when she stopped by the Today studios. She chatted with Jenna and Friends host Jenna Bush Hager and her guest host Tiffany Haddish. 'Separate bathrooms,' she state authoritatively to the astonished hosts. 'That's it? It's that simple?' Hager queried. 'It's that simple,' the Dexter: Original Sin star confirmed. Comedian Tiffany Haddish had a different idea, inspired by the golden age of television. 'See, I was thinking it was like the Lucy and Ricky thing [ from I Love Lucy] where you both had twin beds, and then when y'all want to get together, you push them together, and when you want to be apart, you push them apart,' she suggested. 'I had not thought of that,' the Wolf Pack star admitted, adding, 'that is actually a really good idea.' Geller and Prinze, 49, met on the set of 1999's I Know What You Did Last Summer, which is getting a reboot. The action star revealed on social media in November 2024 that she was with Prinze in Australia for production on the fright flick. A new trailer for the gory thriller was release on Tuesday. Geller's Helen Shivers was killed in the 90s film. Prinze, 49, reprises his role as Ray Bronson and Jennifer Love Hewitt, 46, returns as Julie James. Geller also admitted the long awaited Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot was also in the works, but said she wasn't allowed to talk about any details. 'We won't do it until we know we're 100-percent ready and we're confident that we are giving you something that the audience is asking for, that's also original in its own right.' The rebooted Buffy will make it to the small screen sometime in 2026. The new I Know What You Did Last Summer debuts in theaters July 18.

No Squid Game? Or Patrick Schwarzenegger? This year's biggest Emmy surprises

I don't know if you had the time or the energy to watch today's Emmy nominations on YouTube, but if you did – and you followed along with the comments in real time – then you will know that there was one glaring omission that has sent the entire world into a screaming tailspin of panic and terror. I am talking, of course, about Thanos from Squid Game. For some, Thanos – a purple-haired Konglish-spewing drug-addicted rapper played by the Korean performer T.O.P – was the standout actor of the entire year, in any genre or format. But not only was this a bad result for Thanos, it was a bad result for Squid Game altogether. A show that comprehensively did the numbers for Netflix found itself being locked out of all categories. Still, at least it finds itself in decent company; Black Doves, Netflix's other wildly entertaining genre series, also found itself snubbed. As was The Handmaid's Tale, which is admittedly a little less surprising, given the amount of heat it has lost in the years since it debuted. While we're on snubs, you have to feel sorry for Patrick Schwarzenegger. Pretty much everyone who showed their face on The White Lotus this year found themselves nominated as a supporting performer. And yet Schwarzenegger, who arguably went on the most dramatic emotional arc of the entire season, was left off the list. This is genuinely very sad, since he was perhaps the biggest find of the show this year. While we're here, Renée Zellweger didn't get nominated for Bridget Jones (which was released as a TV movie in the States), and I would have liked to see something for Imogen Faith Reid. If you haven't seen Good American Family, it's worth it for her performance alone. Her role required some incredible modulation – she's 28, yet for reasons too convoluted to explain, had to play a character who was simultaneously seven and 21 – and for sheer complication deserved a nomination at the very least. We should also probably pour one out for The Four Seasons and Poker Face. The former had a stacked cast, and yet Colman Domingo was the only nominated performer. And the latter, despite being a tremendous amount of fun, didn't get anything major at all. True, Cynthia Erivo was deservedly nominated for her incredibly showy guest spot as seven different credited characters, but Natasha Lyonne – whose central performance holds the entire show together – was snubbed. Similarly, the show wasn't nominated for best comedy. That said, since Poker Face is ostensibly a comedy but actually a murder mystery, this could be down to genre confusion. Speaking of which, The Bear was nominated an awful lot in the comedy categories again. However, let's not hold out too much hope for it. After all, backlash over whether it deserved to qualify as a comedy meant that it lost to Hacks last year. And this year it faces stiff competition from The Studio which, like Hacks, will curry favour with voters because it's about show business. However, unlike Hacks, it is consistently funny and legitimately ambitious. In total, The Studio received 23 nominations across the board. If you're involved in any other comedy show this year, it might be a good idea to stay at home come Emmy night. In all honesty, the same probably goes for the limited series categories and Adolescence. Netflix's virtuoso one-shot wonder is nominated for basically everything it qualified for, and surely Owen Cooper is destined to become the youngest ever winner in his category. We haven't mentioned Severance, which with 27 nominations has the most of any show this year, purely because everyone who was nominated was expected to be nominated. This is with one possible exception. A lot of the online prediction articles failed to mention Patricia Arquette. The fact that she was nominated for best supporting actress shouldn't be a surprise – the woman's ability to turn from eccentric to volcanic on a dime remains unparalleled – but within the context of snubs she absolutely deserves her place. Finally there are the anti-snubs; the nominees who probably didn't deserve to be there but were anyway. In truth, this year is essentially limited to Pedro Pascal, who found himself being nominated for best actor in a drama series. If you haven't seen The Last of Us look away now, but it's hard to fathom why Pascal was nominated in this particular category. Was he good? Yes, he was great. But he was also killed before the end of the second episode, which in terms of screen time puts him somewhere between a supporting actor and a guest star. Is it too late to swap him with Thanos?
