Two Manchester City defenders appear set to leave the club this summer
Now a new report has outlined what is likely in store for both players. Both young defenders are expected to leave City at some point this summer. Max Alleyne is expected to go out on loan for the 25/26 season. Callum Doyle is likely to be sold after spending a significant time out on loan in recent years.
A loan move appears on the cards for Max Alleyne.
Jordan Campbell reports for The Athletic that Max Alleyne is expected to go out on loan next season. The impressive young defender has served his apprenticeship in Manchester City's youth system. A loan move is the logical next step in his career. Furthermore, Jordan Campbell reports that it is likely that Max Alleyne will sign a contract extension before heading out on loan for the 25/26 season.
Max Alleyne impressed for Manchester City's Elite Development System (EDS) side last season. His strong performances saw him named City's EDS Player of the Season for his efforts. But looking at what would aid his development it is time for Alleyne to go out on loan. A loan spell to a club in the Championship may be the ideal move for Alleyne. That way he can play at a high level and play against seasoned professionals. Jordan Campbell also reports that Max Alleyne's goal is to push for a place in the City first team in the future. A loan spell in the Championship may aid his cause.
Callum Doyle is likely to be sold by Manchester City.
Jordan Campbell has also provided an update on Callum Doyle's future. Furthermore, Campbell reports that Doyle and Manchester City have agreed that the young defender is likely to be sold this summer. As per Jordan Campbell's update, Callum Doyle's path to the City first team is currently blocked. Lastly, Campbell reports that City could sell Doyle for up to £10 million.
It is no surprise to learn that Callum Doyle is likely to be sold by Manchester City this summer. In recent seasons Doyle has spent time on loan at Sunderland, Coventry City, Leicester City and Norwich City. At 21 years of age, Doyle would be well served by hopefully finding a move to a club in the Premier League or in one of Europe's bigger leagues. He has the talent to make it as a quality defender at the highest level. Unfortunately, he won't get that opportunity at City. A summer transfer is the best move for Doyle's young career, and given his quality and potential, that should come at some point this summer.

Mike Yastrzemski homers in his first at bat with Royals after they acquired him at trade deadline
TORONTO (AP) — Mike Yastrzemski made quite the early impression on his new teammates by homering in his first plate appearance with the Kansas City Royals on Friday, a day after they acquired him from the San Francisco Giants. Yastrzemski hit a 370-foot blast over the wall in right-center field while facing Kevin Gausman in the second inning of the Royals' game against the AL East-leading Toronto Blue Jays. His two-run shot gave the Royals a 2-1 lead. The Royals gave up minor league pitcher Yunior Marte in the trade that brought Yastrzemski to Kansas City. Yastrzemski, who is eligible for free agency at the end of the season, was batting .231 with a .330 on-base percentage, .355 slugging percentage, eight homers, 28 RBIs and six steals in 96 games with the Giants. The 34-year-old Yastrzemski had spent his entire major league career with San Francisco. The Giants acquired him from the Baltimore Orioles in March 2019, and he made his major league debut later that year. ___ AP MLB:

On this date in MMA: Ronda Rousey's final win at UFC 190, 10 years ago
Somehow, it's already been 10 years since Ronda Rousey last won a fight in the UFC. To put that in perspective, entire MMA careers of some fighters, including some at championship level, have started and ended since then. But none of them have been during the Rousey Era in MMA. That era was brief, but littered with groundbreaking highlights. At UFC 190, Rousey entered as the five-time defending women's bantamweight champion – and went into her opponent's territory in Brazil. There was bad blood with Rousey and Bethe Correira, who said Rousey should kill herself after she loses – perhaps not knowing Rousey lost her father to suicide. Rousey wasted little time taking things out on Correira and put her away in just 34 seconds with a swarming TKO. Rousey's win over Correira was her last one in MMA. Later that year, she lost her title to Holly Holm in a shocking upset. When she set her sights on the belt again once Amanda Nunes had it in 2016, she quickly was taken out with a TKO and never returned to the promotion after that.
