The Traitors: Sudhanshu Pandey and Harsh Gujral spoke about the latter accusing Janvee Gaurr of practising black magic.
Actor Sudhanshu Pandey and comedian Harsh Gujral were a part of Karan Johar-hosted The Traitors. In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, they reflected on their much-talked-about dynamic with Janvee Gaurr. They reacted to Harsh accusing Janvee of practising black magic, and how the offhand comment snowballed into an uncomfortable silence.
Harsh Gujral recalled how he was the only one who initially struck up conversations with Janvee. 'Ek hi banda tha jo Janvee ji se baat karta tha, wo main tha (I was the only one in the house who spoke to her)," he told us. 'Maine bola tha mean nahi kiya tha. Uske baad usne baat hi nahi ki. Is baar mili thi toh theek thi (I told her that I didn't meant it but she never spoke to me in the house after that. But she was fine when we met recently)," he added, explaining that though he didn't intend to hurt her, she stopped talking to him after that incident.
Sudhanshu Pandey, on the other hand, shared his perspective on why things may have soured. 'Aap live show mein camera ke aage 'jhaar phoonk' wala bana do toh kya lagega? (You are doing about black magic on live television)" he said, laughing at the memory. He added thoughtfully, 'She comes from a very different background. She probably did not understand the whole scenario well. She is a single mother, lives by herself. Aadmi ek zone se aata hai, aisi cheez mazaak mazaak mein bol di (Everyone comes from their own zone). She didn't take it well."
Both actors pointed out how regional stereotypes may have played a role in how their words were perceived. Harsh, who hails from Kanpur, admitted, 'North ka tone hi aisa lagta hai ke kuch galat hi bol raha hoga (People generally tend to misunderstand the tone of North Indians)." Sudhanshu chimed in, 'North ke logo ko pata nahi kyu log iss nazar se dekhte hain ke wo zaleel aadmi hain (I don't know why people look at North Indians as if they are indecent or disrespectful)," to which Harsh quipped with a grin, 'Hum thode bohot toh hain (We are a little bit)." Their banter made it clear that while they may come across as brusque to some, their intentions were never malicious.
Meanwhile, Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther went on to win The Traitors.

Viineet Kumar Siingh Takes Paternity Break: ‘Ruchiraa Has Gone Through So Much…'

Viineet Kumar Siingh says he tried to be as hands-on as possible, accompanying his pregnant wife to every check-up. He adds that his sense of responsibility has deepened. On May 1 this year, Viineet Kumar Siingh took to social media to announce that he and wife Ruchiraa Ghormare all set to welcome their first child. And on July 24, they welcomed their little bundle of joy – a baby boy. 'It's a boy! Our little star is here," he posted on Instagram. He captioned it, 'God's kindness overflows! Move over, world, the littlest Singh has arrived and he's already stealing hearts and milk bottles. Thank you, God, for this precious little bundle of joy! Ruchiraa & Viineet". Now, speaking exclusively to News18 Showsha, the Chhaava and Superboys Of Malegaon actor reveals that he has taken a small break from work and is currently enjoying his paternity leave. 'Right now, my focus is entirely on my family. I took time off intentionally because I didn't want to miss a single moment. Even during the pregnancy, I made sure I was present, wrapping up work early, going with Ruchiraa for every check-up, trying to be as hands-on as possible," he tells us. The actor, who was recently seen in the Prime Video web series, Rangeen, says that he'll fondly remember the show as it was released just a day after the birth of his son. And talking about this new phase of life, Viineet states, 'It's hard to even put it into words. The moment I saw my son, everything changed. There's this quiet shift that happens inside you and suddenly, nothing else feels more important. I didn't know I could feel this way. Every smile, every little sound he makes, it's all so special." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Viineet Kumar Siingh (@vineet_ksofficial) And there's an interesting epiphany that has struck him. 'I'm still adjusting, still learning, but it's the most beautiful kind of overwhelming. People say your world changes when you become a parent and I finally understand what they mean," he shares. But he's quick to add that he's trying to leave no stone unturned to be a pillar of strength for his wife as he acknowledges the toll that pregnancy and delivery takes on a woman. 'Now that our son is here, that sense of responsibility has only deepened. This phase isn't just about holding the baby but also about holding space for the mother. Ruchiraa has gone through so much, and being by her side emotionally and physically is something I feel deeply committed to. We're navigating this together and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else," Viineet remarks. Earlier in an interview with us, Viineet shed light on the support his wife had lent him during his struggling days. 'Ruchiraa ek pillar ke jaise mujhe pakad ke khadi thi aur abhi bhi hai. Aaj bhi, haq se mera haath pakad ke, mujhe puchti hai ki aisa kyun (if I do something which she feels should be questioned). I know I'm answerable to her. And these things matter to me. I feel that if you stay connected to your family, you can say that you've earned and achieved a lot," he had said. Bhumi Pednekar Speaks Up On Cosmetic Surgery Speculation: ‘To Each Their Own'

Bhumi Pednekar addresses cosmetic surgery rumours, advocating choice and shutting down trolling with wit and grace. In an era dominated by filters, fillers, and fierce online commentary, discussions around cosmetic enhancements in showbiz are louder than ever. With social media scrutiny at an all-time high, celebrities often find themselves navigating speculation, praise, and criticism, sometimes all at once. One of the latest stars to address this ongoing chatter is Bhumi Pednekar. At a recent media interaction in New Delhi, the actress responded to questions about whether she had undergone any cosmetic procedures. Her answer was measured, thoughtful, and rooted in body autonomy. 'I genuinely believe everyone has the right to choose for themselves. Who am I to judge what someone wants to do with their own body?" Bhumi told News18 Showsha. 'And honestly, I think there's too much noise around this topic. This is just who I am, it's how I've always been." This isn't the first time the Badhaai Do actor has addressed commentary on her appearance. In a previous interview with film critic Anupama Chopra, Bhumi opened up about being trolled for having 'big lips" a feature she proudly owns. 'Someone once told me my lips are too big," she recalled with a laugh. 'I was like, since when is that a problem? Aren't people literally paying lakhs to get lips like these? People can say the most bizarre things. The key is to know who you are and not let it affect you." The trolling hasn't been limited to her alone. Bhumi and her sister, Samiksha Pednekar, once faced criticism after sharing a fun video together. The sisters' resemblance led to netizens insinuating that they had both gone under the knife. Samiksha, in a witty comeback, replied, 'Or same parents? Maybe?" Just days before the recent media exchange, Bhumi turned heads as the showstopper at India Couture Week 2025 on July 27. She walked the runway for designer Ritu Kumar in a shimmering golden lehenga that perfectly blended vintage elegance with contemporary flair. On the professional front, Bhumi was last seen in the period drama The Royals, where she starred opposite Ishaan Khatter. Whether it's on the ramp or in front of the mic, Bhumi Pednekar continues to hold her ground with grace, confidence, and a voice that cuts through the noise. view comments First Published: July 30, 2025, 09:27 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
