Trump tears apart 'racist sleazebag' Charlamagne Tha God after he criticized the president in front of his daughter-in-law

Daily Mail2 days ago
Donald Trump lashed out at Charlamagne Tha God, calling him a 'racist sleazebag' after he openly criticized the president in front of his daughter-in-law.
'The Breakfast Club' radio host sat down with Lara Trump, who is married to the president's son Eric Trump, on Saturday night as she asked him to rate her father-in-law's performance in office over the past six months.
'I wouldn't give it a good rating - simply because the least of us are still being impacted the worst,' Charlamagne, whose real name is Lenard Larry McKelvey, replied.
'Like when you look at something like the 'Big, Beautiful Bill'. That's something that I'm going to benefit from because of the tax bracket that I'm in. But there's going to be so many people that's hurt by that bill,' he added.
Trump signed the 'Big, Beautiful Bill', a landmark piece of tax cuts and spending legislation, into law in early July.
'And you know, anything that, you know, takes away Medicaid from people and puts them in a worse financial situation then they were previously in - I'm not for,' Charlamagne, 47, added.
Trump was not happy with the comments the media personality made - prompting him to make a scathing post on his Truth Social platform at 1.49am on Sunday.
'The very wonderful and talented Lara Trump, whose show is a big ratings success, put racist sleazebag Charlamagne 'The God' (Why is he allowed to use the word 'GOD' when describing himself? Can anyone imagine the uproar there would be if I used that nickname?),' Trump wrote.
The president then ripped into the radio host, who voted for Kamala, for saying his Democratic presidential opponent is currently looking 'pretty, pretty good.'
'But this dope, Charlamagne, would vote for Sleepy Joe or Kamala? Remember, one year ago our Country was DEAD, now it's the 'HOTTEST' Country anywhere in the World. MAGA!!!,' the commander-in-chief wrote.
He went on to call Charlamagne a 'Low IQ individual' who doesn't know what he's saying and does not know about the president.
'He's a Low IQ individual, has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth, and knows nothing about me or what I have done - like just ending 5 Wars, including a 31 year bloodbath between Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, where Seven Million people have died, and there was no end in sight,' Trump added.
'He didn't know that, or India and Pakistan or, wiping out Iran's nuclear capabilities, or closing the horrendous open Border, or creating the greatest economy, where prices and Inflation have come way down, and where STUPID and CORRUPT JOE BIDEN set the record for doing the Worst Job as President, EVER.'
During the nearly 30 minute interview with Lara, Charlamagne said Americans are disappointed they are not getting the 'day one change' Trump promised during his campaign.
'Right now people are hurting! He campaigned on immediate change. Day one change,' he told her.
Lara then asked: 'And you don't think you've felt any change?'
He went on to call Charlamagne a 'Low IQ individual' who doesn't know what he's saying and does not know about the president
'No,' Charlamagne replied bluntly.
She then went on to ask him specifically about his feelings on border security and Iran.
'Do you feel safer knowing that Iran will not have the ability to develop a nuclear weapon?,' she asked.
'Sure. If you're telling me that a county won't have the ability to build a nuclear weapon,' Charlamagne responded.
When asked if he feels 'better' that American borders are closed, Charlamagne said he does, but he wants to see actual 'criminals and illegal immigrants' being deported, 'Not people who are here trying to go through the process of being in this country legally.'
'When you see people actually getting deported and getting detained and they're actually trying to go through a process of being American citizens, that's not right,' he continued.
Although he voted for Harris in the 2024 election, Charlmagne is no stranger to lashing out against Democrats.
'When you look at Democrats' approval rating in this country, when you look at Republicans' approval rating in this county, you see that America's just fed up with it all,' he told the Fox News host.
'Like, Democrats suck. We know that already though. You know what I mean? So it's like…I knew that Trump would probably get in office again and fumble.
'But I also knew that Democrats wouldn't have the team put together properly to recover the ball. So what you're seeing right now from the American people is just a backlash to everything. People want something different.'
Lara then asked if he thought the former vice president was the 'best representative' for Democrats in the recent election.
'Yes. If you look right now, she's looking pretty, pretty good because a lot of the things that she said President Trump would do, he actually did,' he answered.
'I did a segment on the Daily Show after he became president, and I was like, "Prove people wrong. Everything that everybody is saying about you, everything that they say you're going to do, all you gotta do is simply not do." But he did it anyway.'

Jesse Watters shares bizarre Sydney Sweeney and Barron Trump fantasy: ‘Create the greatest political dynasty'

Fox News host Jesse Watters has proposed Barron Trump and Sydney Sweeney get married and form the 'greatest political dynasty." He shared his brainwave about the president's son and the actress hours after Trump weighed in, again, on Sweeney's controversial ad campaign for American Eagle. 'You know how this ends? She is going to marry Barron. And it's going to create the greatest political dynasty in American history,' Watters said during Monday's airing of The Five. His Fox News colleagues burst into laughter. The 27-year-old actress has starred in hit TV shows including White Lotus and Euphoria. Barron Trump, 19, is the president's youngest son, and attends New York University. The ad campaign — 'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans' — has been the target of backlash after critics took issue with its play on words, saying it evokes the language of eugenics, the racist and discredited belief that the human race can be improved through selective breeding. In the commercial, the blonde-haired, blue-eyed actress, dressed in an all-denim outfit, speaks directly into the camera. 'Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color,' she says. 'My jeans are blue.' Playing on the word 'genes,' a voiceover then says: 'Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.' American Eagle has defended the ad campaign. It 'is and always was about the jeans,' the retailer said in a statement Friday. 'We'll continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way,' the statement continued. 'Great jeans look good on everyone.' Sweeney has yet to make a public statement on the matter. Watters also claimed Monday that those who took issue with the ad were "Democrats.. obsessed with Nazis." 'Why are Democrats so obsessed with Nazis? Everything is Nazis. When I hear someone has good genes, I think: hot parents. I don't think: Hitler,' he said. The president had started praising the ad this weekend after learning that Sweeney was a registered Republican. 'She's a registered Republican? Now I love her ad,' the president told reporters Sunday. Public voting records revealed that the White Lotus actress has been registered with the Republican Party in Florida since June 2024. She has neither endorsed nor supported Trump publicly. The following day, Trump was still opining on Truth Social, praising it as 'the 'HOTTEST' ad out there.' 'Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the 'HOTTEST' ad out there,' he wrote. 'It's for American Eagle, and the jeans are 'flying off the shelves.'' Trump then condemned what he believed to be 'WOKE,' including singer Taylor Swift, writing: 'Being WOKE is for losers, being Republican is what you want to be.' Shortly after the president wrote the social media post, American Eagle stock soared. Throughout the day, stock rose 2.54 points, or 23.65 percent. Watters also praised Trump for supporting the ad, saying he was 'in on the culture' because he watches so much television. 'Trump, who is in the culture because he watches TV all the time, seizes on this, champions on this great American clothing company and the Democrats use another culture war battle,' the host said. 'They are winless in the culture war in the last couple years. They're like the Cleveland Browns of politics.'

Bill and Hillary Clinton dates set for House probe on Ghislaine Maxwell ties

Former President Bill Clinton and wife Hillary will testify before the House Oversight Commitee in October as the panel probes the investigations into Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, the committee said on Tuesday. Rep. James Comer, the Republican chair of the Oversight committee, tweeted a list of testimony dates for upcoming witnesses compelled by supboena to appear. The Clintons are the first to sit with the committee, likely an effort to capitalize on the frenzied coverage around the investigation and the Trump administration's bungled attempts to get the president's base to stop caring about it. A number of other top federal officials including former Attorney General Merrick Garland are also set to testify as well. Bill Clinton's friendship with Epstein makes his appearance one of the few called by the committee unrelated to the official duties his office.

Voice of America director fired for refusing to accept ‘illegal' demotion

Voice of America Director Michael Abramowitz has been terminated for refusing to accept a demotion that would see him run a small broadcasting station in North Carolina, a reassignment he has called 'illegal.' In a letter sent to Abramowitz on Friday, which was included in a court filing on Monday, US Agency for Global Media senior advisor John Zadrozny informed the director that he would be terminated at the end of the month. 'I am proposing that your failure to accept a directed geographic reassignment warrants removal from your position for such cause as to promote the efficiency of the Federal service,' Zadrozny wrote. The USAGM is the agency that oversees VOA. Much like other staffers at Voice of America, Abramowitz is suing the Trump administration over the president's executive order that dismantles the USAGM. As his case has continued to move forward in federal court, Kari Lake – the MAGA loyalist whom Trump has installed to manage USAGM – has sidelined hundreds of VOA employees while effectively shuttering the network. After sending the vast majority of Voice of America staff reduction-in-force notices in June, however, Lake rescinded the layoffs a week later after staff encountered errors in the documents. Employees were informed at the time that USAGM would be 'running another RIF in the near future.' Meanwhile, most of the staff remain on administrative leave, though some have been recalled to active duty. According to Abramowitz's court filing this week, Lake ordered him on July 8 to accept a transfer to manage the Edward R. Murrow Transmitting Station in Greenville or face termination. Abramowitz noted that he had sent a response later that month refusing the reassignment as it did not appear to be lawful, noting that the acting CEO of USAGM had been placed on leave and Trump had dismantled the board that approves such moves. 'This notice, which would remove me from my position as Director of Voice of America on September 6, 2025 or potentially before that if I refuse the transfer, is illegal,' he wrote in a July 29 letter. 'Under the law, I can only be removed from my position as director of VOA with the approval of the International Broadcasting Advisory Board. No such action has been taken.' In response to Abramowitz's refusal to accept the demotion, Zadrozny told him on Friday that he was fired due to a 'failure to accept directed geographic reassignment,' something Abramowitz's attorney noted in the court filing was ironic. 'Right in the middle of litigation about Defendants' willingness to follow the law, they are firing Director Abramowitz for refusing to accept a reassignment because he insisted that Defendants follow the law,' the lawyer wrote. Abramowitz also noted that the reassignment to the low-level post appeared to be nonsensical based on the reasons the USAGM laid out. 'In addition, the August 1 letter claims that 'it was indicated that your presence in Greenville was needed to support an evaluation of the potential for an expanded USAGM staff presence at that facility.' This purported rationale does not make sense,' he stated. 'I understand that Defendants have indicated that they only plan to broadcast in four languages at VOA (Mandarin, Farsi, Pashto and Dari),' Abramowitz added. 'But the Greenville station, which has historically provided shortwave radio broadcasts mainly to West Africa and Latin America, does not serve countries that speak any of those languages.' The USAGM did not immediately respond to a request for comment. In the lawsuit brought by other VOA staffers against the government over Trump's executive order, a federal judge excoriated Lake and other White House officials for 'failing to show that they had been abiding by his ruling' that mandated a restoration of VOA programming. 'The Court concludes that judicial intervention is needed to ensure the defendants' compliance with the preliminary injunction,' Judge Royce Lamberth wrote last week, adding that the administration officials 'appear to be violating numerous statutory provisions' and have been 'providing misleading and contradictory information.' In recent months, Lake has occasionally deployed a skeleton crew to VOA offices, providing minimal broadcasting services and news programming in an apparent effort to comply with the court's ruling. Lamberth, meanwhile, noted in his latest court order that Lake was doing the exact opposite of what she claimed her intent was, which was to get rid of 'wasteful' spending at VOA. 'When Congress appropriated $260 million to VOA.,' Lamberth wrote, referencing the 2025 budget for Voice of America. 'It did not anticipate that such a significant sum of taxpayer funds would be used to pay employees to sit at home for months on end, making no contribution to VOA's statutory mandate. The legal term for that is 'waste,' and it is precisely what federal appropriation law aims to avoid.'
