Mohanlal's mass avatar, Mridul Nair's direction, and KU Mohanan's visuals: Bigg Boss Malayalam 7 teaser BTS video wows fans
The excitement around Bigg Boss Malayalam 7 has reached new heights, and this time, it's not just the show but the cinematic brilliance of the teaser that's turning heads. With superstar
Mohanlal
in a powerful new avatar, the teaser has become an instant hit among fans, and now, the recently released BTS (Behind-The-Scenes) video has only fueled the buzz further.
Directed by
Mridul Nair
, known for his gripping storytelling, and captured with stunning visuals by ace cinematographer KU Mohanan, the teaser has been celebrated as more than just a promo — it's a short cinematic experience.
The BTS video gives fans a peek into what went into crafting this impactful teaser. From Mohanlal's intense expressions, his power-packed bike entry, to the commanding dialogue delivery, every frame showcases the actor's unmatched screen presence.
One of the most talked-about moments is the magic he creates between the words 'action' and 'cut', a delight for cinephiles and fans alike.
The teaser doesn't shy away from making bold references, addressing cliché tactics used in the
Bigg Boss
house, and presenting Mohanlal in an angry, no-nonsense avatar inside a rustic garage setup. But the BTS video hints there's more in store. According to the sneak peek, additional promos featuring the host in lighter, more playful shades are on the way, including date-based promo sequences and signature cool looks of the star.

WWE SmackDown Results and Highlights (7/25/2025): Hulk Hogan tribute, Cody Rhodes mocks John Cena ahead of SummerSlam, and more
WWE SmackDown (Image via WWE) WWE 's Friday Night SmackDown's July 25 edition was going to take the opportunity to pay its respect to one of the legends of the game - Hulk Hogan , and that's exactly what it did. After Hogan's passing on the morning of July 24, the world of wrestling seemed to have come to a standstill. So it was pretty evident that WWE would take this opportunity to pay homage to the biggest star that ever happened to it. Live from the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, this SmackDown edition is only a week away from the big 2-night event in New Jersey - SummerSlam 2025. Fans expect an appearance from Cody Rhodes before he locks horns with John Cena one more time. Alexa Bliss is set to face Roxanne Perez after Charlotte Flair won her last match against Raquel Rodriguez, with Flair showing up as well. Jelly Roll is also set to make an appearance alongside Randy Orton , Logan Paul, and Drew McIntyre, before their match at SummerSlam. And of course, Andrade & Rey Fenix will challenge The Wyatt Sicks for the WWE tag team titles. Now let's take a look at all that happened with the Blue brand tonight. Opening Segment - Hulk Hogan tribute The night stars off somberly as WWE takes the opportunity to pay tribute to one of the greatest wrestling stars that graced its squared ring - Hulk Hogan . by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Indonesia: Unsold Sofas at Bargain Prices (Prices May Surprise You) Sofas | Search Ads Search Now Undo His demise, which happened just a day prior, caused an uproar amongst fans and fellow wrestlers. So it was quite apparent that WWE would take this opportunity to pay its respect. The episode went live with an 'In memory of Hulk Hogan' on the giant screen, while fans were heard chanting 'Hogan' loudly. Soon, Triple H , the Chief Content Officer of WWE, came on screen and started speaking to the fans, talking about Hulk's legacy, calling him 'The one and the only, the immortal, Hulk Hogan.' WWE also prepared a ten bell salute for the legend, as Pau Levesque said, 'Yesterday, we lost one one the greatest, most recognized icons in the world.' Everyone gives a standing ovation after that, and Jimmy Hart, one of Hogan's closest friends, was also seen getting emotional after the fan chants. Logan Paul, Jelly Roll, Drew McIntyre, and Randy Orton take center stage Before their upcoming match at SummerSlam, Logan Paul, Jelly Roll, Drew McIntyre, and Randy Orton, all make an appearance in Cleveland. Paul comes out to boos, and mocks the fans saying Cleveland was his home, but it didn't make him - it was the other way around. His monologue is soon interrupted by Jelly Roll, who comes in to cheers from fans. Paul tries to mock him, and McIntyre, too, comes in from behind, but Roll is not deterred. Soon, Randy "The Viper" Orton makes his presence known. He hit McIntyre with his mic while speaking to the crowd, leading to a throw of hands from all four inside the ring. After a little back and forth, Orton throws McIntyre into the barricade while Jelly Roll hits Paul with a Bossman Slam, and the two stand tall inside the ring. The segment ends with Alexa Bliss making an entrance with Charlotte Flair beside her, before her big match against Roxanne Perez. Alexa Bliss vs. Roxanne Perez The two women start off right away, as Roxanne Perez starts with a shove while Alexa Bliss retaliates with a schoolboy. The fight is high intensity as both women try to gain the upper hand. Of course, the match doesn't end without both Raquel Rodriguez and Charlotte Flair making interference to help their tag team partners. While Bliss looked to be a favorite to win the game initially, after a Twisted Bliss to the floor on Rodriguez, as she came back into the ring to finish her job, Perez landed an O'Connor roll with a hand on the ropes for leverage. The end saw Bliss with a bloody nose while Flair tended to her wounds. Roxanne Perez wins via pinfall. Backstage, the current Queen of the Ring, Jade Cargill is being interviewed. But soon enough, she gets interrupted by Chelsea Green and her Secret Hervice. Of course, now fans are getting a Cargill vs. Green for the night. Jade Cargill vs. Chelsea Green The two women start the fight outside the ring, and we see Jade Cargill do a Fireman's carry on Chelsea Green through the arena and dropping her inside the squared ring. The match is short-lived, and Green is extremely overwhelmed. Even with interference from the Secret Hervice, Cargill stands tall over her opponent after a Jaded. Jade Cargill wins via pinfall. After her win, the Secret Hervice attacks Cargill, but Tiffany Stratton makes her appearance and saves the former. The two are set to face each other at SummerSlam, and both women seemed to have a short game of tug with Stratton's championship belt after they sent Alba Fyre and Piper Niven packing. Cody Rhodes addresses the crowd before SummerSlam After a short backstage segment with Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, who are slowly getting more in the groove with each other, SmackDown returns with Cody Rhodes making his big entrance. He addressed the crowd about his upcoming fight with John Cena to loud cheers and chants of his name. He also paid tribute to Hulk Hogan , mentioning his recent passing and calling him one of the giants in professional wrestling, and thanking him for everything. He then directly addressed his fight against John Cena, and says while he doesn't want to get into it with someone who doesn't want to fight, SummerSlam will see him do just that because that is what is needed. He talked about their upcoming street fight and implied that fans should expect violence. With a message to Cena that he will see him next week, Rhodes walks out of the stage. Fans are backstage once more where Jacob Fatu is seen talking about Solo Sikoa and their upcoming Steel Cage match at SummerSlam. But suddenly, The Miz appears and tells him he got a fight approved by Adam Pearce between them as they have some unfinished business. Jacob Fatu vs. The Miz Jacob Fatu starts off with a running forearm to the face, landing The Miz in the corner. The match is not even a couple of minutes in before Solo Sikoa and the MFT make their entrance. It distracts Fatu enough for Miz to hit him with a chop block. But things don't stay in The Miz's favor for long. Even with multiple interferences from the MFT and Sikoa, he manages to get the three count after pinning The Miz after a Samoan Drop. Jacob Fatu wins via pinfall. As soon as the match is officially done, the MFT attacks Fatu. But in comes Jimmy Uso with a chair, and things take a turn once more. Uso and Fatu go through the MFT, but Tala Tonga stands tall against the opponents. At the end, he takes Fatu out with a clothesline, and Sikoa gets back up to raise his WWE United States Championship belt in the air. The next backstage segment sees Cathy Kelley with The Street Profits and B-Fab, as the latter tells Kelley that the Wyatt Sicks need to be dealt with. DIY comes in and tells the Street Profits that they will fix their mess. Candice LaRae is also there and tells them to stay out of their way. Meanwhile, we also have a rematch set between Giulia and Zelina Vega for the next edition of SmackDown for the Women's United States championship, as announced by Kiana James. Andrade el Idolo & Rey Fenix vs. Wyatt Sicks The end of the night is near, as Andrade and his tag team partner, Rey Fenix, face off against the Wyatt Sicks in a WWE Tag Team Championship match. Joe Gacy and Fenix start the match, but Andrade gets tagged in. They try to double-team Gacy, but of course, Dexter Lumis comes right in. The Wyatt Sicks have a few chances to get the win, but miss by inches. Finally, Rey Fenix hits Lumis with a splash outside the ring, while Andrade goes for The Message on Gacy. Andrade then goes for the cover but Nikki Cross comes and pulls the referee, who calls for the bell. It's a No Contest, folks! The Wyatt Sicks are still the reigning tag team champions of WWE. The finale saw an all-out brawl. The Wyatt Sicks are in, but then Fraxiom comes inside the ring. The Motor City Machine Guns are there as well, as are the Street Profits. Lastly, DIY comes in alongside Nick Aldis. But it's chaos in and outside the ring. WWE officials run in to break up the fight and Aldis makes an announcement. He says that at SummerSlam, the Tag Team titles will hang over the ring and it will be a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match. They can all have a go at it that night. The SmackDown episode ends with all six teams still at each other's throats. Also Read: "My partner. What defines an ‘Australian song'? Triple J's hottest 100 sparks national identity debate
Debating what makes a song 'Australian' As Triple J prepares to broadcast the Hottest 100 Australian Songs on July 26, attention turns beyond the rankings to a broader cultural question: What defines an 'Australian song'? Is it the nationality of the artist, the thematic content, the sonic elements, or a combination of these factors? The sound of the didgeridoo, for instance, has often been used to signal 'Australianness' in film, television, and occasionally in popular music. Yet, due to colonization and systemic exclusion, much of this Indigenous musical heritage has been marginalized in the commercial music landscape. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 20 Pieces of Clothing you Can be Too Old for Learn More Undo Also read: Wave to Earth announce first-ever Aussie & NZ tour; find out when & where they're playing Since colonization in the late 18th century, Australia's music has reflected broader global influences. Settlers imported genres such as jazz, country, rock, and pop, which local musicians adapted. However, questions remain about whether these adaptations constitute a distinctly Australian sound or reflect cultural imitation. These tensions parallel historical questions about Australian national identity — whether it functions as a sovereign country or remains culturally tethered to its colonial past. Live Events The legacy of pub rock and cultural identity In the 1970s, the pub rock movement, characterized by distorted guitars and grassroots energy, emerged as one of Australia's earliest contributions to global post-rock 'n' roll culture. Bands such as Midnight Oil and Cold Chisel gained popularity not only for their sound but also for references to Australian places, politics, and working-class life. During this period, then-Prime Minister Gough Whitlam expanded funding for the arts to help shape an Australian identity. Simultaneously, the launch of youth radio station 2JJ, now Triple J, offered a broadcast platform for emerging local acts. This era laid the groundwork for what is now referred to as the 'Oz rock canon,' a collection of Australian rock music that has shaped cultural perceptions. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's selections for the Hottest 100, composed almost entirely of white male musicians, reflect the enduring influence of this canon. Despite political differences, both he and his predecessor submitted strikingly similar lists, underscoring the narrow scope of what has traditionally been recognized as 'Australian music.' Evolving canons and new Australian sounds Triple J's 2009 Hottest 100 of All Time reaffirmed the dominance of the rock canon. However, it also signaled the rising popularity of Australian hip-hop, with Hilltop Hoods' The Nosebleed Section ranking highest among Australian entries. In 2011, Triple J released the Hottest 100 Australian Albums of All Time . Powderfinger's Odyssey Number Five secured the top spot, with entries from electronic groups such as The Presets and The Avalanches reflecting a broader sonic range. Still, the list was male-dominated, with Missy Higgins's The Sound of White at number 29 being the highest-ranking woman-fronted album. Recent years have seen increased Indigenous representation across Australian music. Artists such as Thelma Plum, Barkaa, A.B. Original, and Baker Boy use diverse genres to celebrate cultural identity and critique the national narrative. A.B. Original's January 26 , which ranked number 17 in 2016, exemplifies music's role in social commentary. That same year, Triple J moved the countdown from Australia Day to a different date, indicating a shift in public sentiment. Music, disagreement, and national reflection A strong contender in the 2024 countdown is Treaty (Radio Mix) by Yothu Yindi, a track that reached number 11 in 1991's all-time list. Its continued relevance highlights how musical canons can evolve to reflect societal change. Also read: Lorde announces 2026 arena tour in Australia; Know the dates, her family, and net worth Recent controversies, including criticism of Creative Australia's handling of politically-charged art, have sparked debate over how cultural expression intersects with social cohesion. Critics argue that democratic societies must accommodate disagreement and that art plays a vital role in questioning dominant narratives. As Triple J's Hottest 100 continues to showcase a spectrum of artists, it offers a platform for reconsidering Australian identity. Whether through traditional rock or Indigenous hip-hop, the songs selected, and the discussions they prompt, reflect the complexities of what it means to live on these lands today.
