'Nostalgic' UK TV Classic Is Set To Return – And Fans Are Losing Their Everloving Minds
Well, in what seems to be a mega week for '90s and '00s UK babies, now we have more good news from the Beeb ― the broadcaster recently shared on Instagram that nostalgic hit Balamory is 'returning to CBeebies next year.'
Originally made from 2002-2005 (a run so short, fans previously expressed shock at the hit's outsized impact), the BBC iPlayer page added: 'Expect the classic theme song, colourful houses, and some familiar faces!' in their caption.

Who'll be in the new Balamory cast?
On their site, the BBC said that Balamory will 'blend familiar faces with a host of new characters.'
Returning to their roles will be Julie Wilson Nimmo (Miss Hoolie), Andrew Agnew (PC Plum), Kim Tserkezie (Penny Pocket) and Juliet Cadzow (Edie McCredie).
New faces will include 'scientist and inventor Ava Potts (played by Danielle Jam), the Harbour Master (William Andrews) and local vet Dr Ollie (Carl Spencer) who lives with his two children.'
Kate Morton, Head of Commissioning for zero-to-six-year-olds at BBC Children's and Education, said: 'It's wonderful to see some of the original cast returning alongside new faces, creating a perfect mix of nostalgia and discovery for families to enjoy together.
'This vibrant new series will delight both children and the grown-ups who remember it fondly' (I'm in the latter camp).
How many new episodes will the new Balamory have?
It's been commissioned for two new series, each containing ten 14-minute-long episodes.
When will the new Balamory come out?
We don't have an exact date – the BBC simply says, 'Families can look forward to exploring the world of Balamory once again from 2026.'

Mysterious 10ft mural of former North East football boss eating chips appears on wall
A mysterious 10ft-high artwork of former North East football manager Sam Allardyce eating a large bag of chips has appeared on a wall near a fast food shop in his home town, sparking speculation about its creator. The mural of the 70-year-old former Sunderland and Newcastle United manager is believed to have been pasted onto a wall in Union Street in the centre of Dudley, West Midlands, on Wednesday. It shows the former England boss lifting a partially battered orange chip – a local speciality – to his mouth, while wearing his trademark touchline suit and tie. Absolutely privileged to be honest with you, I thought it was a very good likeness. 'Chips look a bit hot, but I really enjoyed seeing it. Whoever did it, thank you very much!' A shopper passing the mural on Friday said it was nice to see something paying tribute to someone who was proud of their roots in Dudley. 'It's a bit odd as it doesn't have a slogan or any words, but it brightens up the place,' the man said. A local worker, who asked not to be named and admitted he did not know who was depicted in the mural, described it as 'the randomest thing I've ever seen'. The man said: 'Who is it? It's just weird, it doesn't make sense and it needs to go.' Allardyce signed for Sunderland as a player in July 1980 and was made club captain, but he lasted just one season on Wearside. He has had a colourful managerial career, which included a turbulent seven-month spell at Newcastle United from May 2007. Snoop Dogg is latest American celebrity to buy a stake in an English Football League club
Snoop Dogg told us long ago that he's got his mind on his money and his money on his mind. Now he's got his mind on using some of that money to become the latest American celebrity to invest in an English Football League team. On Thursday, Welsh club Swansea City announced that the hip-hop legend, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, is joining its ownership group. It was not disclosed what percentage of the club is now owned by Snoop Dogg or how much he invested in the team. The announcement came days after the "Gin & Juice" rapper helped reveal Swansea City's uniforms for the upcoming season by posing in the new home jersey in a video posted to Instagram.
