"There's a lot of stuff going around"- Bronny James responds to LeBron James' trade rumours for next season
LeBron James recently grabbed attention by choosing to opt out of his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. Several NBA agents considered it a bit unexpected, as Shams Charania of ESPN broke the news on SportsCenter on Sunday, June 29.
This fueled the rumours that the NBA legend might request a trade. This gave birth to a lot of buzz among fans and reporters about where LeBron James will play next season. Now, his son and another NBA player, Bronny James, finally addressed the speculations.
Bronny James breaks silence on
LeBron James trade rumors
Bronny James usually stays out of the spotlight, especially when it involves his famous father. However, during a media session with the Los Angeles Lakers' Summer League team on Wednesday, July 2, reporters brought up the trade rumors involving LeBron James.
Addressing the same, he said: 'Actually, one of my friends called me, talking about where, what I was going to do because they saw my dad… I didn't see it. He called me. I was like, 'Yeah, I have no idea what you're talking about.' ... I don't really pay attention to that stuff. There's a lot of stuff going around that I don't pay attention to."
When asked about the conversation he had with his father regarding the trade rumours, he said: 'We don't really talk about it much..
I think when stuff like that does come up, he just tells me to not worry about it, to not even pay attention to it [and] just lock into what you have going on right now. And that's what's going to get me better and to keep me focused. I think it's good that he tells me to not pay attention to that stuff.
"
The interview came after an NBA insider from ESPN revealed the update to the public, stating that the basketball icon is currently reconsidering his future.
According to the reports, he is also determined to win a championship in the next season. However, he doesn't think the Los Angeles Lakers can help him achieve that goal.
Additionally, league analyst Bobby Marks addressed the trade rumours on the June 30 episode of Get Up. He pointed out that LeBron James does not currently have an active trade market.

'Strange': Shubman Gill's defensive strategy at Edgbaston slammed by former England cricketer
India captain Shubman Gill during the second Test between India and England. Former England cricketer David Lloyd has criticised Shubman Gill's captaincy during the Edgbaston Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, particularly questioning his defensive field placement when Harry Brook and Jamie Smith's partnership of 303 runs shifted the momentum. Despite India's commanding first-innings total of 587, Lloyd found Gill's decision to spread the field with only two slips puzzling, especially when England were struggling at 84/5. The partnership between Brook and Smith proved to be a significant turning point in the match. Brook scored 158 runs from 234 balls, while Smith contributed 184 runs from 207 deliveries. Their stand ranks as the second-best partnership for England's sixth wicket and the third-best against India overall. "The runaway train. This game quickly went away from Shubman Gill. With 587 in the bank, I thought it was strange that the field was so defensive with only two slips. Regardless of the counter from Brook and Smith, that was the time to keep the pressure on. With three slips in there, it would have at least made them think twice because a few chances went there," Lloyd wrote in his Daily Mail column. They were staring down the barrel, then came a magnificent counter attack and then from nowhere, the tail was blown away by Siraj, with Smith left high and dry on 184. Surely somebody could have stayed with him," Lloyd noted. IND vs ENG 2nd Test: Rain Arrives After Stumps on Day 3 | What It Means for India's Batting Lloyd attributed England's batting collapses to mental fatigue rather than pitch conditions. "Much of the talk on day two was that this is a lousy pitch. That went a bit quiet when England were 84 for five and in a bit of a pickle. Mental fatigue played a part because the batters' minds were scrambled after two days in the field. That's a great part of Test cricket. The Aussies called it mental disintegration. Apart from Brook and Smith, who played excellently, England were mentally spent," Lloyd explained.
