
Yemeni Sports Federation for Companies approves upcoming activities program
Sana'a - Saba:
The Yemeni Sports Federation for Companies, during its meeting today, approved its activity program for the upcoming period of the current year 2025.
Chaired by the Federation's Secretary-General, Anwar Al-Haimi, the meeting discussed the upcoming activities, which include organizing the 9th Corporate Seven-a-Side Football Championship, as well as tournaments for table tennis, volleyball, bowling, billiards, and badminton.
The meeting also tasked the technical and financial committees with preparing comprehensive files to be submitted to companies and institutions interested in sponsoring the championships and competitions.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General called on all companies and institutions to participate in the Federation's various activities and contribute effectively to their success.
He emphasized the importance of preparing the technical regulations and starting to accept participation requests for the 9th Seven-a-Side Football Championship from companies and institutions, as well as setting dates for meetings to discuss and approve them and determine the tournament's launch date.

Martyr Yahya Al-Sinwar Team Crowned Champion of Late Ali Fayyad Volleyball Tournament
Sana'a - Saba: The Martyr Yahya Al-Sinwar team was crowned champion of the second edition of the Late Ali Fayyad Ramadan Volleyball Tournament, organized by the Steering Committee of the Yemeni General Volleyball Federation and the Federation's branch in the Capital Secretariat, with the participation of 8 teams. The team secured the title after defeating the Martyr Saleh Al-Sammad team in the final match with two clean sets, scoring 25/18 in both sets. The Martyr Al-Qubari team claimed third place after defeating the Martyr Hassan Nasrallah team in two straight sets (25/12 and 25/10). After the tournament, the winning teams were honored by sports and federation officials. The Martyr Yahya Al-Sinwar team received the championship trophy, gold medals, and a cash prize, while the Martyr Saleh Al-Sammad team was awarded the runner-up trophy, silver medals, and a cash prize. Basketball Federation approves launch of 2nd division league for Men on April 24
Sana'a - Saba: The General Basketball Federation has announced the launch of the Men's Second Division League on April 24, 2025. The competition will be held in two stages, with the first stage scheduled to run from April 24 to May 1, 2025, followed by the final gathering in the capital, Sana'a, starting on May 15. Thirteen clubs from across the country will compete in the league, including 22 May, Hilal Hodeida, Shaab Ibb, Teli'at Taiz, Mukalla, Shebam Hadramout, Wahdat Tarim, al-Tadamon Hadramout, Shabab al-Jeel, al-Ahmadi Rada'a, Shabab al-Mahweet, Tali'a Lahj, and al-Shula'a. A meeting was held today, chaired by the Chairman of the Federation's Board of Directors, Abdul Sattar Al-Hamdani, with the participation of Federation Secretary-General Jamal Ibrahim and Competitions Committee Chairman Hamoud Taher. The meeting focused on organizing the league and ensuring the success of the competitions. The competition will take place in two stages. The first stage will follow a home-and-away format from April 26 to May 1, with six teams advancing to the second stage in Sana'a, starting on May 15. In the second stage, the six qualifying teams will be divided into two groups of three, where they will compete in a round-robin format. The top team from each group will qualify directly for the First Division, and a final match between the group champions will determine the overall winner and runner-up of the Second Division League. The General Basketball Federation has issued a circular to participating clubs, requiring teams to adhere to the official uniform guidelines, including approved colors, numbering, and the International Basketball Federation logo. Clubs are also instructed to submit player lists, along with technical and administrative staff details, by April 1, 2025.
