Mother leads search party for Triad man missing for 2 months

Yahoo05-02-2025
BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — It's been two months since 28-year-old Aamari Eubanks was last seen.
As Burlington police continue their investigation into his disappearance, his mother is taking matters into her own hands.
Half a dozen people searched the woods behind North Park in Burlington for Aamari who hasn't been seen since Dec. 4.
Alecia Eubanks helped organize this search party Tuesday afternoon for her son Aamari.
'We're very close, and he doesn't ever go two hours without calling me … For the last two months, nothing,' Alecia said.
The last known footage of the 28-year-old man is him leaving his family home on the 100 block of Wilkins Road in Haw River around 7 p.m. on Dec. 4.
Burlington police say he drove a silver 2000 Toyota Avalon and headed west on US 70 toward Burlington.
On Dec. 5, police found his vehicle abandoned in a heavily wooded area off Sharpe Road. It's a place his mother searched again two months later.
After enduring the holiday season without her son, Alecia says she won't give up looking for him.
'I'm praying daily. God is what's keeping me strong. He's the source of my strength right now. I really feel like breaking, but I got to be strong and find my son,' Alecia said.
Investigators say Aamari is in danger and was injured. As the search continues, Alecia is asking witnesses to speak up.
'He's someone's son. He's somebody's brother, and we just want him to come back home safely,' she said.
He was last seen in a bleach-stained black jacket, black jogger pants and black and white Adidas tennis shoes.
Burlington police are offering a $5,000 reward for any information that will lead to the location of Aamari.
As of right now, investigators have not shared any new information on their investigation.
