Winnipeg Sun columnist Paul Friesen described it as Collaros appearing 'to hit his head on the turf in a whiplash effect. He appeared stunned and remained in a sitting position for an extended period of time with two members of the team's medical staff at his sides.'

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Shohei Ohtani matched a franchise record with a homer in the fifth straight game and Freddie Freeman drove in two runs with a two-out single in the ninth inning as the Los Angeles Dodgers rallied to beat the Minnesota Twins 4-3 on Wednesday. Freeman hit a sinking liner to left field that eluded a diving Harrison Bader and scored Mookie Betts and Ohtani, setting off a wild celebration. Ohtani hit a solo homer to center in the first, his National League-leading 37th of the season. It marked the seventh time in Dodgers history that a player has homered in five consecutive games. Ohtani joins Max Muncy, Joc Pederson, Adrian Gonzalez, Matt Kemp, Shawn Green and Roy Campanella in that club. Stampeders wide receiver Damien Alford on a touchdown tear in CFL rookie season
CALGARY – Damien Alford says before his nickname was 'Moose', it was 'Bambi'. 'My freshman year, I was all skinny and didn't have that much weight on me,' recalled the Calgary Stampeders wide receiver Wednesday. 'My coach called me Bambi before the season started. As my career went on and I got bigger, stronger, I got more experience, I had a breakout game versus Army. He said, 'we can't call him Bambi no more. We've got to call him Moose.'' The 24-year-old from Montreal has quickly become an offensive threat in his rookie CFL season with five touchdown catches in his last three games. The Stampeders (5-1) ride a three-game win streak into Thursday's clash with the Montreal Alouettes (4-2) at McMahon Stadium. The six-foot-six, 224-pound Alford was the first overall pick in this year's CFL draft by Calgary after a season with Utah and four at Syracuse. It was the first time since 2014 that the Stampeders owned the first selection. 'This year was really just to come out, do what I got to do, learn from the best that are here, and whenever my name gets called to go on the field and execute the way I know I'm able to,' Alford said. Vernon Adams Jr., expressed an interest in large targets to throw at when Calgary acquired the quarterback from the B.C. Lions last November. The Stampeders signed the six-foot-four Dominique Rhymes — Adams' former Lions teammate — in free agency. Twins starting pitcher David Festa placed on the 15-day IL with right shoulder inflammation
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Minnesota Twins starting pitcher David Festa has been placed on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation. The 25-year-old Festa was scheduled to consult with a doctor and get an MRI on Wednesday. The Twins are in Los Angeles to play the Dodgers and were scheduled to head home after the early game. On Monday, Festa allowed four runs on three home runs in 5 1/3 innings. 'He woke up after his outing and his shoulder was sore,' Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said. 'He'll have an MRI today and we'll know more (Thursday). We'll see where we're at. I can't talk about any specifics because I don't know any more than his arm didn't feel the way that it should normally feel. There's normal soreness and there's more than that, and this was more than that.' Festa has started 10 games for the Twins, who are 10 1/2 games behind Detroit in the AL Central.
