The LEGO Group has unveiled the latest additions to its LEGO Fortnite physical product range. The four new sets include: LEGO Fortnite Peely & Sparkplug's Camp, LEGO Fortnite Durrr Burger Restaurant and LEGO Fortnite Klombo which will all be available to purchase from June 1 and the LEGO Fortnite Mecha Team Leader that is available for pre-order from April and available to purchase from August 1.
The new sets will allow builders to recreate even more of their favourite characters and moments from LEGO Fortnite Odyssey and Fortnite. This announcement follows on from the first-ever release of LEGO Fortnite physical sets last year.
The first product in this latest launch is the LEGO Fortnite Peely & Sparkplug's Camp. This 250-piece set is inspired by some of the first challenges you meet in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, with builders aged 7+ able to recreate the campfire, ruins and workbench settings, with Peely, Sparkplug minifigures, as well as Supply Llama, wolf and skeleton figures also included.
Gaming fans will be able to unlock the Sparkplug Outfit in the LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite games by scanning the QR code on the cover of the building instructions.
The LEGO Fortnite Durrr Burger Restaurant is a 546-piece set which allows builders to construct one of LEGO Fortnite's gameplay locations.
Builders aged 10+ will be able to recreate all the action with four minifigure characters included in the set, such as Beach Bomber, Beef Boss and Grimey. There's also an extra for fans, with the set unlocking the Beef Boss Outfit in the LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite games.
The third set announced, LEGO Fortnite Klombo will allow builders 10+ to befriend one of LEGO Fortnite's characters. Fitted with movable legs, an opening mouth and rotating tail, as well as including a small Klomberry bush with detachable Klomberries, this is an 1,084-piece model.
The set also features minifigures of Island Adventure Peely and Oro and includes a digital bonus allowing builders to redeem the Island Adventure Peely Outfit in the LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite games.
Completing the new releases is a set for older builders, the LEGO Fortnite Mecha Team Leader. The 2,503-piece model offers fans an immersive project based on the character that saved the Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 1 Island.

Marvel Rivals Season 2 end date and when you'll say goodbye to the Hellfire Gala

Marvel Rivals is getting ready to launch its third season, introducing Blade and Jean Grey to the hero shooter, but before that players will need to say goodbye to the current season. Marvel Rivals is set to introduce Jean Grey and Blade soon, but first, we must conclude the current season before moving onto these exciting new additions. Marvel Rivals continues to offer thrilling experiences for players seeking a taste of comic book-inspired hero shooter action. Despite facing stiff competition from Fortnite and its Squid Grounds Reload map, the game has maintained its appeal, particularly with the introduction of Emma Frost and the evil Ultron, each bringing their unique playstyles. ‌ The successful launch of Mecha Break demonstrates that players are still eager to engage with the gameplay styling of the hero shooter, and as Marvel Rivals continues to evolve, it seems as though everyone wins, especially comic book fans. As a new season looms, featuring villains led by Hela and Knull, players are kept on their toes. The most anticipated features are the new playable characters, Blade and Jean Grey, along with a range of new cosmetics, including Hela's expected Symbiote-ified costume. Fans can also look forward to more maps and modes being gradually released throughout the season, providing even more reasons to explore the game's latest offerings. However, we're still waiting for the Marvel Rivals Season 2 end date to arrive before we can dive into the new season. So when exactly can we anticipate this chapter closing and a new one beginning in Marvel Rivals? Here's what you need to know about the Marvel Rivals Season 2 end date. Marvel Rivals Season 2 end date The conclusion of Marvel Rivals Season 2 is scheduled for Friday, July 11 at 2am PDT / 5am EDT / 10am BST. According to a recent tweet from Marvel Rivals, it is at this time that the game will enter its maintenance period, expected to last between two and four hours, before launching into Season 3. This is set to cause quite a stir, particularly as Blade fans have been left without the representation promised by the MCU with its continually postponed vampire hunter film. Plus, in any case, it's nice to see a hero shooter reach some success after the appearance of Overwatch 2 squandered the gaming structure for many. We'll be glad to take Blade to the fight.

Manchester-born Star Wars actor Kevin Colley dies aged 87

Star Wars actor Kenneth Colley has died at the age of 87 after contracting Covid and developing pneumonia, his agent has said. The film and television actor from Manchester is best known for starring in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi as Admiral Piett, an imperial officer in command of Darth Vader's flagship. Colley's agent of 10 years, Julian Owen, issued a statement which said that he died 'peacefully' on Monday June 30 in Ashford, Kent. The statement said: 'He had been admitted after a fall with an injured arm, however he quickly contracted Covid which developed into pneumonia. He passed away peacefully with friends at his bedside. 'Ken Colley was one of our finest character actors with a career spanning 60 years. 'Ken continually worked on stage, film and television playing a vast array of characters, from Jesus in Monty Python's Life of Brian to evil and eccentric characters in Ken Russell films, and the Duke of Vienna in Shakespeare's Measure for Measure for the BBC.' In later years he reprised his role of Admiral Piett when he voiced the character in the 2012 animated Lego production, Lego Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out. He also had parts in international productions including Clint Eastwood's Firefox and the Second World War series War and Remembrance. The statement added: 'Ken's favourite part was playing Estragon in the stage production of Beckett's classic Waiting for Godot at the Cockpit Theatre in London in 2014. 'Ken's participation in Star Wars led him to being invited to conventions and official fan events all over the World where he remains one of the best loved actors from the original trilogy.' Ken loved his garden, art collecting and had a passion for fast cars.'Colley is also known for playing Jesus in Monty Python's Life of Brian alongside English actors' John Cleese, Graham Chapman and Michael Palin.

Video game spending has dropped almost 25% amongst young people

Young adults are spending less and less across the board, but the games industry has been hit the hardest. Gaming has never been the cheapest of hobbies, but it has undeniably become more expensive in recent years, to the point that many have had to cut back their spending. Not only has the price of consoles gone up, with the Nintendo Switch 2's £395.99 price tag considered affordable by comparison, but so have the games. The ninth generation began with Sony insisting it had to start charging £70 for games and now we have Nintendo asking up to £75 for Mario Kart World. Regardless of where you stand on whether such price increases accurately reflect the value of the games, there's no doubt that they're a key factor in why spending on gaming as a whole is seeing a decline, especially amongst young adults. Matt Piscatella, executive director and industry analyst at Circana, has shared a chart on Bluesky collating data on the average weekly spending among adults aged 18 to 24 in the US, within the four weeks ending in April 2025. Aside from gaming, the data covers spending on things like houseware, accessories, and clothing. Compared to the same period of time in 2024, there have been sharp declines in spending among young adults in all areas, with gaming seeing the largest impact – a drop of nearly 25%. Sign up to the GameCentral newsletter for a unique take on the week in gaming, alongside the latest reviews and more. Delivered to your inbox every Saturday morning. For what it's worth, video game spending among all other age groups hasn't declined as much, but it's still dropped by about 1 or 2%. This isn't universal among other industries though, with spending on sports equipment and beauty products up this year. Video game spend among 18 to 24's is down sharply."Young grads are having a much tougher time finding jobs. Student-loan payments are restarting for millions of borrowers… credit-card delinquency rates have risen to their highest points since before the pandemic…" — Mat Piscatella (@ 2025-07-01T14:25:35.367Z While this data is specifically for the US, spending habits between it and the UK aren't dissimilar, so it's safe to assume that more or less the same applies here. Even if it didn't, the US is a massive and important market for the games industry, so this should still be cause for concern amongst games companies. This all lines up with past data. Last year, chip company AMD (which both Sony and Microsoft are partnering with on their next consoles) admitted that demand for gaming had become 'quite weak.' Earlier this year, another Circana report revealed that more than 70% of active PlayStation 5 and Xbox players in the US were dedicating a significant amount of time to playing at least one of the 10 most popular live service games, such as Fortnite, Call Of Duty, and Roblox, rather than any new releases. More Trending A big part of this is because they're free-to-play, so there's less of a barrier to entry. As such, anyone who enjoys games but can't justify spending upwards of £80 on new releases is more likely to shift their attention to free-to-play fare. This in turn stands to further incentivise studios into making live service games, which earn their money through microtransactions; a strategy Sony has obsessively chased for years, with very little success beyond Helldivers 2 (which wasn't even made in-house). But even that isn't guaranteed to address the industry's woes, as evidenced by how many live service games have crashed and burned over the years. This is best exemplified by a March report that showed the vast majority of PC players are not only primarily playing live service games, but ones that were at least two years old. With the likes of Counter-Strike and League Of Legends still holding a fierce chokehold on the market, what chance do any new live service games have?
