The year 2025 has been fine so far in terms of films and box office. Back to back hits were not seen but it cannot be said that the earnings were slow. Talking about the first hit of this year, this title goes to Vicky Kaushal's Chhava. She gave the first hit of the year, but apart from this, she did not have any hits from 2024 till Chhava. No,w if we talk about the actress who gave a stupendous performance in the first 6 months of 2025, there is one name who has given 3 films so far and these films have earned around Rs 800 crore. Who is this golden girl?
The name of this golden girl is Rashmika Mandanna. In the recent past, Rashmika has become such a lucky charm that any film in which she appears is sure to earn crores, be it Pushpa Part-1 and 2 or Animal. After this, Rashmika's name has become the first choice among film makers. Now if we talk about 2025, her hit film was Chhava. Chhava collected around 807.88 crores worldwide at the box office. After Chhava, Rashmika Mandanna appeared in Sikandar with Salman Khan. This film of Bhaijaan and Golden Girl cannot be called a hit, but it also showed full strength in terms of earnings. Sikandar collected 177 crores worldwide. Recently, Rashmika Mandanna appeared in Kubera with Dhanush. This film, released on June 20, has collected Rs 83.55 crore in 13 days. Now if the collections of these three films of Rashmika are combined, then the actress has earned Rs 1,068.43 crores at the box office in 6 months. How much competition could other actresses give to Rashmika in 6 months?
Apart from Rashmika, other actresses who appeared on screen include Vaani Kapoor (Raid 2), Sara Ali Khan (Sky Force), Genelia D'Souza (Sittare Zameen Par), Ananya Pandey (Kesari 2), and Vamika Gabbi (Bhool Chook Maaf). These actresses did good business and made it to the top-10 list of Wikipedia's top-grossing films, but only one film each of them released in theaters and there was no such big miracle that could shake Rashmika's position. Talking about their earnings, Raid 2 earned 243 crores, Sky Force got 168.88 crores, Sitare Zameen Par's collection was 199.09 crores, Kesari 2 earned 144.35 and Bhool Chook Maaf was limited to 90.78 crores.

When Vinod Khanna Bit Madhuri Dixit Onscreen: Behind Dayavan's Controversial Kiss

Last Updated: 'Dayavan' stirred controversy with bold scenes between Vinod Khanna & Madhuri Dixit, with the actress later regretting her role due to the bold and daring scenes Let's take you back to the late 1980s in Bollywood, an era of bold cinema, iconic stars, and unforgettable moments. At the heart of it was superstar Vinod Khanna, a man whose magnetic charm pulled in crowds like few others. But behind the screen glamour was a controversial moment in Bollywood history, one that still sparks debate. In 1988, filmmaker Feroz Khan pushed cinematic boundaries with Dayavan, a film remembered for its intense scenes and emotional music. The movie featured Vinod Khanna, then 42, opposite a rising star, Madhuri Dixit, just 21. The pairing raised eyebrows, not just for their age gap, but for the bold, intimate sequences that followed. What truly stirred the nation was an intimate scene between the leads, one that included a long on-screen kiss and, as reported by a moment where Vinod Khanna allegedly bit Madhuri Dixit's lips. The scene caused a sensation and intense media scrutiny. Vinod Khanna would later apologize to Madhuri Dixit for the moment. Although the film's song Aaj Phir Tumpe Pyar Aaya Hai, a soft romantic number sung by Pankaj Udhas, became an iconic melody, etched in the memory of cinema lovers, the scene that accompanied the song, left Madhuri Dixit with deep regret. According to reports, Feroz Khan paid Madhuri Dixit a whopping Rs 1 crore, an extraordinary sum at the time, to secure her role. As Madhuri Dixit later revealed in interviews, she was unaware of the explicit scene during the initial signing. When she requested it be removed, Feroz Khan reportedly told her: 'You haven't been paid Rs 1 crore for nothing." Madhuri Dixit went through with the scene, but in hindsight, has repeatedly said she made a mistake. She has openly expressed shock when she sees that moment on screen today, and has said she still regrets doing the film. Despite its box office success, Dayavan remains a film with a complicated legacy, one of cinematic boldness, ethical questions, and personal remorse. Its impact lives on not just in its music or story, but in the conversations it continues to spark about about artistic boundaries and actor consent in the film industry. First Published:

Jurassic World Rebirth box office collection day 4: Scarlett Johansson's sci-fi actioner crushes Kannappa in India; nears Rs 2,800 crore worldwide

Jurassic World Rebirth box office collection day 4: Following a string of mediocre films, the iconic Jurassic Park franchise has finally been rejuvenated, thanks to director Gareth Edwards' Jurassic World Rebirth, which opened to more favourable responses than its recent predecessors. Interestingly, on its first Monday in theatres, the sci-fi thriller earned significantly more than several major recent Indian releases. In fact, it even outperformed Brad Pitt's F1, despite the latter opening to considerably better reviews. On Monday, Jurassic World Rebirth, starring Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey in the lead roles, recorded an India nett collection of Rs 4.1 crore, according to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk. With this, the Hollywood film's total domestic collection has reached Rs 43.1 crore in just four days. Although its Monday figure was 74.77 per cent lower than the Rs 16.25 crore it collected on Sunday, the movie still managed to pass the crucial first Monday test. Post Credits Scene | F1: Brad Pitt takes a page out of Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan playbook, and tears it to shreds Notably, Jurassic World Rebirth's performance on the day was stronger than Vishnu Manchu's pan-Indian Telugu devotional film Kannappa, which featured cameo appearances by major stars like Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, Mohanlal and Kajal Aggarwal. On its first Monday in theatres, Kannappa earned just Rs 2.3 crore, despite debuting at Rs 9.35 crore, almost on par with Jurassic World Rebirth's Rs 9.25 crore opening-day nett in India. Comparing other recent first-Monday performances, the Scarlett Johansson-starrer also outdid major films like F1 (Rs 3.35 crore), Maa (Rs 2.5 crore) and Metro… In Dino (Rs 2.25 crore). During the day, Jurassic World Rebirth's English edition recorded an overall occupancy rate of 13.87 per cent. Although the morning shows began at 7.02 per cent, the figure steadily improved throughout the day, with the afternoon, evening and night screenings recording 13.03 per cent, 17.04 per cent and 18.37 per cent, respectively. According to Box Office Mojo, Jurassic World Rebirth's worldwide gross now stands at $322 million (Rs 2,765 crore), far ahead of F1's $293 million (Rs 2,515 crore). A standalone sequel to Jurassic World Dominion (2022), which opened to poor reviews, Jurassic World Rebirth is the seventh instalment in the eponymous franchise created by renowned author-screenwriter Michael Crichton. The first two instalments of the film series — Jurassic Park (1993) and The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) — were directed by legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg.
