Stacey Dooley takes daughter to a brothel and shares prostitutes' response

Stacey Dooley opened up about the locations she took her baby to while filming a documentary in America when Minnie was eight months old
Stacey Dooley revealed she once took her baby daughter to a brothel while filming a documentary about sex workers in America. The 38-year-old presenter had to get 'special permission' from the police to take her then eight-month-old baby, Minnie, to Nevada's oldest legal brothel called The Mustang Ranch.
She joked it 'sounded like a comedy sketch' as she detailed why she decided to bring her baby with her. During a panel with Emma Barnett at the Hay Literary Festival in Wales, Stacey said: "There's nowhere that child hasn't been. When she was eight months we had this gig in the diary to go to the States to make a documentary about this legal brothel in Nevada.

"I'd sort of signed the contract and was like: oh, she'll be eight months, that'll be fine. Anyway, the trip comes, and I'm nowhere near comfortable leaving her so I take my eight-month-old child to this brothel in Nevada."
She went on to say: "I have to ask the sheriff for special permission, because she's under 18. It sounds like a comedy sketch, but it's legit!"
Stacey went on to explain how she rented a trailer for Minnie to stay in her dad, Kevin Clifton, and that she would look out the window to see her filming.
When she would return to the trailer to breastfeed, the prostitutes at the brothel would adorably greet Minnie with: "Morning Miss Minnie!" The presenter then joked: "I'm like: she'll be open-minded if nothing else!"
Earlier this year, Stacey candidly opened up about the challenges she's faced since becoming a mother in 2023.

During an appearance on the Parenting Hell podcast with Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe, she admitted that her sex life with Kevin took a backseat as their daughter sleeps in their bed.
However, Stacey said she's not bothered by it, as she's completely content cuddling up to their two-year-old. Stacey admitted: "We need to start remembering how to have sex."
She went on: "Minnie is in our bed. I am sort of not really ar**d. I know there's such emphasis on getting kids in their own bed, but I think it's because Kev is away so much anyway.

"What am I doing otherwise? Maybe when Kev is back on the scene, we will start remembering how you have sex.
"Then maybe I would think, Minnie, you're going to have to go and hang out in your own bedroom now." For now, Stacey is cherishing every moment with her little girl and even doesn't mind going to bed at 8pm to avoid disrupting Minnie's routine.

EastEnders fans 'work out Alfie is being scammed' - and it's by someone he knows

EastEnders' latest episode saw Alfie Moon begging his wife's cousin Stacey Slater for thousands of pounds in cash, but BBC soap fans are convinced there's more to this There was drama on EastEnders on Monday night, as a double bill saw Stacey Slater torn over some money. ‌ With her late ex Martin Fowler's life insurance money coming through, she revealed to the family she had £50,000. Fans had seen her offer this to her cousin Kat Moon, to help her bid on The Queen Vic which was up for sale. ‌ But as celebrations were underway, Stacey was stopped in her tracks by a sinister call from Kat's husband Alfie Moon. Alfie told her that she had a lead on missing Zoe Slater, Kat's daughter, and he needed money urgently. ‌ Stacey was horrified to learn that after weeks of being away looking for Zoe, Alfie still had not found his stepdaughter. Kat still has no idea Alfie and Stacey have seen Zoe recently or that her daughter is in trouble. As the pair continued to keep this from her, Alfie told Stacey that if he did not get the money to some dangerous men then they could lose Zoe forever. Stacey demanded answers, wanting to know what he actually knew about Zoe's whereabouts. ‌ There was mention of Alfie needing 50,000 euros, with Zoe owing people money according to the people Alfie found. He claimed they had information on where Zoe was, and he feared the men may have her. Alfie put the pressure on Stacey by telling her that if Kat learned what was going on and that Stacey didn't help, she'd likely not forgive her. Alfie began shouting down the phone in a panic, telling Stacey that serious trouble could be on the cards if she did not help him and give him the money. Stacey fretted over the situation, and soon she was telling her devastated cousin Kat that she could no longer give her the money for the pub deposit. Kat fumed, as Stacey claimed it was because the money was meant for Martin's children. ‌ While this was true, Stacey and Kat had already agreed that it was a great investment that could benefit the children. Stacey's mother Jean Slater had known about the call with Alfie and immediately realised the pair were hiding something. Jean believed whatever had been said in the phone call between Stacey and Alfie had swayed the change of heart, with Kat not allowed to know anything. Stacey then begged her mum to stop digging for information, and told her that the money was to help someone important to the family. ‌ She didn't give away who, but instead allowed Jean to think Stacey's cousin Hayley Slater was the one in need of the cash. Stacey went along with this, but ultimately decided not to give Alfie the cash. Viewers watching the episodes were relieved, as they believed Alfie was actually the victim of a scam. After all, Zoe had tried to con them out of some money not too long ago, so could she be behind this latest demand? Some fans even wondered if Zoe had scammed Jean recently after she was tricked into transferring her savings. Fans think Alfie is being conned now, and that the £50k would have been stolen by someone with the Zoe claims being a cover. One viewer posted: "I think Alfie may have got scammed/set up for getting conned by Zoe or messed with the wrong people himself. Remember Zoe also lied/stole from Stacey and ran up a massive credit card debt. Jean may have just saved Stacey and Alfie from making a bad decision." Another agreed: "Alfie brainless as ever thinking that giving some random thugs £50k in euros to find a missing Zoe." Rob Brydon reveals behind-the-scenes blunder nearly ruined new BBC show

The Gavin & Stacey actor is presenting a new reality competition, Destination X. Rob Brydon has disclosed the moment his mistake nearly wrecked filming for a fresh BBC competition. The Gavin & Stacey actor, 60, is hosting a brand new reality show, Destination X. It features 13 strangers embarking on a secretive road trip across Europe, combining elements of The Traitors and Race Across The World. ‌ The participants are journeying on a coach with sensory deprivation, unable to see their location or track their distance travelled. Daily, they're challenged with working out their possible whereabouts after receiving a selection of peculiar clues for assistance. ‌ Only the cleverest will manage to distinguish the false leads from the genuine hints, with players gradually eliminated until one winner emerges (claiming a £100,000 prize) as they guess locations, whilst the participant furthest from their actual position gets knocked out. ‌ "It's the adventure of a lifetime, with one simple question at its heart: where in the world am I? Rob Brydon masterminds the high-stakes competition where nothing is as it seems...," the synopsis reveals, reports Wales Online. The intense series naturally only functions if contestants can genuinely participate without receiving any hints about the external world during their journey. ‌ Despite numerous production safeguards being implemented to guarantee this, Rob almost sabotaged everything. Discussing the show before its debut, the presenter confessed that although he was "very careful", he encountered one mishap. ‌ He said: "I won't say where we were, but we we're on a hillside, that's all I'll say, and we were about to visit a lovely location, and I was looking forward to where we were going next. "I was chatting to some of the crew and I said out loud, 'I can't wait to get to [the place]' and then I realised that just over there was one of the players and I had a sinking feeling in my stomach. "Luckily they didn't hear, and I can be sure of that because of what happened next which told me that they'd not heard. That was the only one but it was a constant fear." ‌ Rob deliberately avoided revealing any specifics since, in an unusual twist, audiences can participate alongside the contestants, with their whereabouts remaining secret until each episode concludes. Executive producer Dan Adamson then revealed additional hazards the production team encountered and outside elements that nearly exposed the secret. ‌ He said: "We crossed a lot of borders and there was always a chance that we were going to have officials trying to board the bus, and so we had to have plan Bs, which we had fake uniforms that we would then do a second boarding of the bus to try and pretend it was just part of the room." Destination X was filmed across 32 days, demanding 190 crew members who required 7,000 hotel rooms spanning 30 hotels, whilst they journeyed 11,000 km throughout Europe. The coach itself contained 7km of wiring, featuring 46 cameras and over 40 support vehicles. Speaking about the grandeur of the show, Dan elaborated: "We had the chance to turn Europe into a board game, so we immediately thought that the way we bring scale to the challenges is we just get incredible locations and we take over whole castles, we run a train on a public network, we take over cable car systems, the scale just goes up and up and it's like, actually, what fun can we have with those toys? And how do we then lay clues through that? And obviously that was partly about the adventure and partly it's about thinking, how will then that drive the story? "It's rare you get a chance to turn the whole of Europe into a boardgame," he added. "We love the wanderlust of it, and we loved the play-along, the audience will genuinely play this game." Destination X premieres on BBC One and iPlayer on Wednesday, July 30.

EastEnders exit story confirmed for two characters in early BBC iPlayer release

This article contains spoilers for tonight's EastEnders, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer. Two EastEnders characters are set to leave Albert Square behind after being gifted an opportunity in recent scenes. Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) made the difficult decision to sell the Queen Vic in recent weeks, and tonight the sale was finalised. Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) was determined to get her hands on the local boozer, and things were looking promising when Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) offered her the money from Martin Fowler's life insurance. However, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) also had his sights set on the pub, not to mention local developers who were interested in demolishing the building. By the time the auction began, Stacey had changed her mind about the money, having been told by Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) that Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) desperately needed to pay people off. With Kat out of the running, the auction continued, though Mo and Jean Slater (Laila Morse and Gillian Wright) did everything they could to delay proceedings. Meanwhile, having been talked round by Jean, Stacey paid Kat a visit and revealed that she was giving her the money after all. As Kat and Stacey raced across the Square to the Vic, the auction attendees flooded out, after Jean set off the fire alarm in a bid to prevent a developer from buying the pub. Having learnt that Kat was back on board, Linda decided to pull out of the auction altogether, instead accepting Kat's offer. More Trending With the future of the Queen Vic secured, and Kat having agreed to a house swap, Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) suggested that Linda and Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) take some time away from Walford. It didn't take long to persuade them to accept the cruise, much to the disappointment of Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy), who believed she was taking the holiday.
