Stacey Solomon shares emotional family update after heartbreaking news
Stacey Solomon shared an emotional update with her followers after a heartbreaking health condition struck one of her family. The TV host previously revealed in April that her dog Teddy had to have surgery after discovering he has a "predisposed condition".
She shared with her followers on Instagram at the time that he had become "suddenly unwell" prior to the procedure. Then in May Stacey, 35, confirmed that Spaniel, Teddy, had returned home but he had suffered a burst disc and "lost the use of his back legs".
Then last month she updated her fans further confirming that it was "likely" that he will "never get the feeling back" in his legs. She added that he will also need help emptying his bladder and walking.
Now in her latest update Stacey has debuted Teddy's new way of getting around since developing the devastating condition. Posting a video of him with his assisted wheels she shared her delight at seeing him able too run and play again.
She wrote, "Our Darling Teddy has his wheels. We have spent the last few days trying to teach teddy a new way of getting around & he's finally learning to love his wheels. He was very nervous at first but seeing him today walking around with peanut again was so special.
"We have spoken to our vet & have bought teddy some wheels. If we are doing anything wrong please be kind. This is a totally new journey for us & we are doing our best to give teddy the best life he can possibly have so just let us know if you have any tips."
She continued, "Teddy you've been such an amazing boy. We know your whole world has turned upside down but you've been so calm and patient and we hope we are giving you the second chance that you deserve. To the moon & back Teddy."
Stacey and husband Joe Swash originally rescued Teddy as a companion for their other dog, Peanut. When they first learned of his condition she told fans at the time: "Our darling Teddy. Teddy became suddenly unwell on Thursday. It turns out he has a predisposed condition we had no idea about as he was a rescue."
Stacey continued: "He has been operated on by incredible vets and the next 3-4 days are crucial for him to get through, even then, he might not ever fully recover. We are praying and hoping so hard that he pulls through & that we can care for him in the best way we possibly can to give him the best life he can have."
She concluded the original post by sharing her family's devastation over the situation. She wrote: "We are all truly devastated. He is the sweetest, most protective, loving dog. He's our family. And far too young to be going through this."
In a message to Teddy, she said: "We love you Ted. So so much. Pickle cottage is far too quiet without you. I miss my toilet buddy. Peanut is so sad without his best friend."

'Worst show on TV' is ending and its biggest critics are full of regret
And Just Like That… Sex and The City fans will no longer be tormented by its divisive revival. Creator Michael Patrick King has confirmed that And Just Like That, which has regularly been branded 'the worst show on TV',is coming to an end after its third and current season. In a statement shared on Instagram, King wrote: 'And just like that… the ongoing storytelling of the Sex and the City universe is coming to an end. 'While I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That… season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop. 'Along with Sarah Jessica Parker, Casey Bloys and Sarah Aubrey, we decided to end the popular series this year with a two-part finale and extended the original series order from 10 episodes to 12. 'SJP and I held off announcing the news until now because we didn't want the word 'final' to overshadow the fun of watching the season. 'It's with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years.' Despite the relentless backlash and calls for it to be over, viewers who have spent three seasons 'hate-watching' are still absolutely crushed. And Just Like That hater Tom Zohar wrote on X: 'PLEASE I DIDN'T MEAN ALL THE THINGS I SAID ABOUT YOU I LOVE YOU PLEASE DON'T LEAVE.' Another fan who loved to hate-watch, Felipe, tweeted: 'conflicted because the show is objectively terrible but i'd still watch 10 seasons of it.' Pop Culture Instagram account Deuxmoi commented: 'See what happens when you complain!!!!!' Others said they 'felt sick' and were 'devastated' but there was also a large sector of the And Just Like That audience who breathed a sigh of relief. Sex and The City was an instant movement when it launched in 1998, making Carrie Bradshaw (Parker), Miranda Hobbes, (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte Yorke (Kristin Davis) and Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) four of the most loved women of the decade. Their influence has hardly faltered almost 30 years later. In 2021 the girls were back – well, without Samantha due to Cattrall's fall out with the rest of the cast – in And Just Like That, the reboot so many longed for but never thought would happen. The excitement was unrivalled but soon fizzled out when Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte were criticised for being unrecognisable to the women fans adored and watching Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez) felt like a punishment when we'd all been so patient. The latest series was praised for getting back on track but it also came with bizarre misfires. In one episode, Lisa Todd Wexley's (Nicole Ari Parker) dad died from a stroke. Fans noted that she claimed he'd already died back in season one. Producers did explain the issue, insisting the father mentioned in season one was her stepfather but fans weren't satisfied with the response. Parker shared a series of iconic Carrie moments and said the columnist with the wardrobe worth millions 'dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all.' Davis, who starred as Charlotte for 27 years, wrote: 'I am profoundly sad. I love our whole beautiful cast and crew. 400 artisans working so hard on our show with deep love. 'And to our loyal fans, we love you forever and ever.' And Just Like That is available to stream on NOW. Got a story? Actress Ruth Jones to guest present The Archers Podcast
The Welsh actress will be joined by Archers cast members Charlotte Martin (Susan Carter) and Wilf Scolding (Chris Carter), along with Sarah McDonald Hughes, the writer of this week's episodes. The podcast will be available exclusively on BBC Sounds from 7.15pm on Friday. Jones, who co-wrote and co-starred in Gavin & Stacey, described herself as a 'massive Archers addict'. In the podcast she delves into the Carter family's complex history, including Chris's turbulent relationship with Alice and a powerful archive flashback to his birth in 1988, when he was born with a unilateral cleft lip and rejected by his mother. Jones also picks her two favourite scenes of the week, reveals her favourite quirky Archers character traits, and poses some burning questions about unresolved storylines in the fictional village of Ambridge. Jones said: 'I've been an avid fan of The Archers since the early 90s. 'Despite being an actress and writer myself, the thought of actually being in The Archers, or writing it, absolutely terrifies me because in my mind Ambridge really exists.' The Archers Podcast is released weekly every Friday, immediately after The Archers is broadcast on BBC Radio 4. It is usually presented by Emma Freud, who is on holiday this week. The first national episode of The Archers was broadcast on the BBC on January 1 1951.
