As her husband works on the epic cruise ship as a ''staff chief engineer'', the woman gets to sail for free ''as wife on board''.
This, she recently listed, comes with a number of perks, such as free accommodation, food and drinks.
However, whilst she lives there both as ''crew'' and a ''guest'' at the same time, there are a few things that are off-limit for the TikToker.
One of these, she said in the video, is gambling.
''I am not allowed to sit by a slot machine and play my heart out until I win.
''Because it would look a little weird if I as a wife of the staff chief engineer won a big jackpot.''
While she is allowed to enter the crew and the guest areas, the lucky woman is forced to wear a name badge in staff areas.
''So that they know that I am one of them and I am allowed down there because we don't want any guests down in the crew area.''
There are also a couple of other things she needs to abide by, such as leaving the ship after the guests have disembarked - this is usually an hour afterwards.
As a guest, the TikToker - who posts under the username @dutchworld_americangirl - also gets access to the pool, the lavish spa area and gym.
I 'live' on a cruise ship with my son & fiancé - the food's amazing, there's childcare & our laundry's done for free too
''I can use all those guest amenities. But I always play it with the rule of thumb.
''If the pool is packed then I make sure to get up and give the guests the seat - it's just the right thing to do.
''I used to be a cruise director, so I totally understand how to give the guests the best time they possibly can - and I don't think a crew member taking up their seat is the right thing to do.''
When travelling on the cruise with her partner, the woman also needs to have her international travel insurance ''at all times'' in case something was to happen.
Pros and cons of going on a cruise ship
Whether you're considering a long holiday, working remotely or even living on board a cruise ship for a few months or years, here are the pros and cons from a former cruise shipper.
Pros Travel the world, learn and experience new cultures
Meet new people
Don't have to think or worry about room cleaning, or food
Cons Internet connection can be painfully slow and expensive
Limited luggage allowance so have to wear the same clothes on rotation
Having no control of where the ship would go next and the possibility of visiting the same ports
Having the same onboard entertainment, on-demand movies, and little choice of TV channels
No fresh newspapers or new books unless someone adds them to the library
Relatively the same food week after week unless major menu changes occur seasonally.
Occasional rough seas, bad weather and viral outbreaks while inboard.
'Soooo....I'm not seeing any negatives'
The informative clip, which has racked up more than 5million views, has clearly sparked interest in this lifestyle for many.
One singleton chuckled: ''Note to self: marry someone who works on a cruise ship.''
Another begged: ''please refer me to a man on board.''
Someone else chimed in: ''I see no negatives here!
''I hate gambling and wouldn't want to deal with the crowds getting off the ship. everything else is a win for me!''
''Soooo....I'm not seeing any negatives,'' a fourth agreed.

The Angel Hotel, Bury St Edmunds review

And how much you can expect to pay per night Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THE Angel is a gorgeous ivy-clad Georgian hotel in the heart of Bury St Edmunds. But what are the rooms like and what's the best thing on the menu? Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 The hotel sits at the heart of the historic town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk Credit: The angel hotel Where is the hotel? The hotel sits at the heart of the historic town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, so all the main sights are within easy walking distance. The train station is a five-minute taxi ride away or less than 20 minutes on foot. What is the hotel like? The Angel offers gorgeous interiors and a fantastic central location. Its imposing historic exterior belies its contemporary, chic boutique hotel interior. Expect pop art and vintage furniture alongside huge comfy leather sofas and velvet banquettes in the spacious lounge, plus a bustling restaurant and bar. What is there to do at The Angel hotel? You're in the perfect spot to explore with the abbey gardens and independent shops all nearby. Definitely worth a few hours is a tour of Greene King's Westgate Brewery, where ales have been created for more than 200 years. Tours cost £20 and include a five-ale taster. What is there to eat and drink there? The Eaterie restaurant's menu aims to shine a light on local producers, with classic British dishes. We loved the Pickwick Pie, stuffed full of steak in a rich ale sauce. The Sunday roasts at around £20 a head are also worth a try. What are the rooms like at the hotel? The rooms are classic but contemporary with some quirky touches. Splash out on one of the Ivy Copper rooms and you are rewarded with views of the Abbey Gardens, as well as a free-standing copper bath. Our room featured a vast marble bathroom. The eclectic style was a winner for me, with an antique desk alongside a feathered floor lamp. The bed was huge and comfy. Classic rooms from £117 including breakfast, Ivy Copper rooms from £440 in October. Is it family friendly? It may not be the best choice for those with young kids, although extra zed beds and sofa beds can be added for £10 per child, per night. Cots can also be added to rooms for £10 per night. A kids breakfast costs £5. Is there access for guests with disabilities? Yes, there are some accessible rooms. There is also a flatter entrance at the side of the hotel or guests can request for the ramp to be laid down. Looking for a place to stay? For more hotel inspiration click here.

Alexa Chung selling clothes on Vinted for charity 'close to my womb'

Alexa Chung has revealed that she' selling some of her most iconic looks, seen on runways and Glastonbury fields alike, on Vinted for an endometriosis charity that's "close to my womb" English model and TV presenter, Alexa Chung has confirmed she will be selling her clothes on Vinted, telling fans on TikTok proceeds will be going to a cause "very close to my womb". The 41-year-old revealed earlier this year that she had underwent surgery for endometriosis, a condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, which can potentially lead to infertility and other complications. ‌ Alexa was diagnosed with the condition in July 2020, calling her experience in getting treatment "frustrating" while services were "under-funded". ‌ In April 2025, the Popworld presenter confirmed her first Vinted sale drop, in which she flogged items from her own wardrobe in order to raise money for Endometriosis UK, prompting millennial hysteria. She has since taken part in other drops, with the latest confirmed in the video she shared to TikTok on Wednesday (July 2). "I'll be selling things such as these glorious boots," Alexa told viewers in front of a backdrop featuring the piar of black, leather Prada boots. "I literally love them, they've served me very well but they've gotta go. Because, the proceeds go to Endometriosis UK, which is, of course, very close to my womb, I guess. "There's load of other amazing things in there [the drop], they've got a Dior bag - a really nice, 90s red sequence dress. And I want to say thank you so much if you bought things last time." ‌ More than 1.5million people in the UK live with the condition, roughly one in 10 women. Since her diagnosis, Alexa has continued to campaign and raise awareness for Endometriosis UK. Speaking earlier this year, Alexa told The Telegraph how she had underwent a laparoscopy, where the pelvis is accessed through small incisions, to cut out the affected tissue to try and aid her symptoms. For more stories like this subscribe to our weekly newsletter, The Weekly Gulp, for a curated roundup of trending stories, poignant interviews, and viral lifestyle picks from The Mirror's Audience U35 team delivered straight to your inbox. ‌ "A number of years ago, I had a laparoscopy to help cure it," She explained. "They don't really know how to cure endometriosis but they do like cutting it out of people quite a lot, just on the off chance that it might work. "I do come up against this wall, where no matter how helpful or amazing the doctors I've seen have been, you reach a point in the cul-de-sac of information where you realise there's a definitive end to the amount of treatment they can give you. I find it super frustrating. It's part of a canon of women's health issues that are desperately under-researched," she added. Help us improve our content by completing the survey below.
