Settlers hold provocative marches in Quds as Israeli forces bar worshippers from Al-Aqsa
Israeli settlers staged provocative marches on Sunday evening in Al-Wad Street, near Bab al-Majlis, one of the main gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. The events included dancing and singing, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces.
According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), these provocations coincided with the Israeli military preventing large numbers of Palestinian worshippers, especially young men, from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque, during the settlers' daily incursions into the courtyards of the Al-Haram al-Sharif.
The occupation continues to enforce forced expulsion orders against Palestinians — including journalists and Murabitun (steadfast defenders) — barring them from entering the mosque for periods ranging from several months up to a year and a half, as part of a policy aimed at emptying Al-Aqsa of Palestinian presence and imposing Israeli control over the site.
The city of Jerusalem has witnessed escalating measures by the occupation authorities, including daily raids into Al-Aqsa Mosque and tight restrictions on access to the compound, especially during peak hours and religious occasions.
