Japanese high school students perform incredible version of Welsh anthem
The Welsh team, led by Matt Sherratt, is set to face off against the Brave Blossoms in two Tests next month. The first match will be held at Mikuni World Stadium in Kitakyushu on 5 July.
This isn't the first time the Welsh side has visited Kitakyushu; they were warmly welcomed there during their pre-World Cup training camp in 2019.
Gathered at Kokura Station, the students were dressed in Welsh rugby T-shirts while harmonising to the 'Land of My Fathers'. The collective received warm applause after completing their version of the anthem.
Warren Gatland's Wales spent six days in the city prior to the 2019 World Cup, with hundreds of schoolchildren turning up to welcome the squad to their hometown.
Chants of 'Go, Go, Cymru!' could be heard from the crowds at the airport. As well as this, Kokura Castle was illuminated in the colours of Wales.
After Wales face Japan in the first Test next month, they will travel to Osaka Bay. The second and final match against the Brave Blossoms will take place in Kobe at the Noevir Stadium on July 12.
Wales have lost 17 international matches in a row, and are looking for their first win since October 2023, with interim head coach Sherratt the man tasked with trying to steer the ship.
Ahead of the tour, the Cardiff Rugby boss has drafted in T Rhys Thomas, Adam Jones, Danny Wilson and Gethin Jenkins onto his coaching staff. Wales legend Leigh Halfpenny is the latest to be added, and will take on his first international coaching role despite still being an active professional player.
The iconic full-back is rumoured to be joining French second division outfit Beziers next season, but over the summer he'll be taking on kicking coaching duties from mentor Neil Jenkins in the Far East.
At the helm for Japan is former England boss Eddie Jones, who has recently called up a university student ahead of the tour. There are 16 uncapped players in the squad, with an average age of just 26.
There's just one player with more than 50 caps in the squad - veteran Michael Leitch, who has played in four World Cups and earned 87 appearances at Test level.
The two nations have not faced each another for nine years. Current Grenoble fly-half Sam Davies knocked over an 80th-minute drop goal for Gatland's side to win 33-30 at the death in the autumn internationals of 2016.

Ryan Tubridy shares holiday snaps from family trip to Japan
Ex-RTE star Ryan Tubridy has shared a look inside his recent trip to Japan with daughters Ella and Julia. The Virgin Radio and Q102 presenter visited Osaka, Hiroshima, Kyoto and Tokyo earlier this summer, describing it as an "unforgettable" holiday. Ryan recently wrote in his Irish Mail on Sunday column: "Some time ago, I agreed with my daughters that someday in the future, the three of us would visit Japan. "We have been so curious about the country and its customs, art and people that we had built a great urge between us to go and see it for ourselves. "Between the jigs and the reels, the timings never worked but that changed a couple of weeks ago when we boarded a plane for Abu Dhabi and then on to Osaka for what turned out to be the trip of a lifetime. "I won't go into great detail as it was a wonderfully personal experience but I will tell you that it was like being beamed down from a spaceship onto the set of a Wes Anderson film. It's a uniformly beautiful, clean, mannerly, law-abiding place that can surprise you with every corner turned." Ryan, Ella and Julia visited four cities in Japan and the Dubliner said he became "obsessed" with Japan's bullet train. "We went on to eat at a local restaurant where the girls encouraged me to try the chopsticks, noodles and dumplings, which I did and I'm a changed man! "Post-dinner merriment found us all in the mood to sample the local national sport that is karaoke, which was an awful lot of fun. "Between us, we improved the back catalogue of Frank Sinatra, Bonnie Tyler, Bob Dylan, The Pogues and some Japanese icons. It was that kind of evening." Ekitike dropped Liverpool transfer hint before £79m move thanks to Gerrard
Before Liverpool even made contact with Eintracht Frankfurt regarding his £79million transfer, Hugo Ekitike had already dropped a hint about his move, courtesy of Steven Gerrard. The French striker sealed his move to the reigning Premier League champions on Wednesday, penning a six-year deal that will keep him at Anfield until 2031. The 23 year old had an outstanding season with the Bundesliga outfit, netting 22 goals and setting up 12 more in 48 appearances across all competitions. Despite Newcastle United's rejected bid, Ekitike was destined for Merseyside once Arne Slot's team entered the fray for the forward following the Magpies' failed attempt. While their first bid was turned down, a second offer of £69m up front with £10m in add-ons provided an outline agreement between the two clubs that would see the striker become the Reds' fifth major signing of the summer. It was a relatively speedy swoop from Liverpool's hierarchy to clinch a deal for Ekitike who first made contact with the player's camp in January before he enjoyed a conversation with Slot at the end of the season. However, discussions with Frankfurt only commenced after Newcastle's rejected bid 10 days ago. It was earlier this summer that Ekitike sparked rumours of a potential move to Anfield after he was spotted wearing a retro Liverpool kit with Gerrard's name at the back. The France U21 international was photographed training at the Marbella Football Centre, understood to be in June, wearing the Reds' away strip believed to be from the 1998/99 season. The kit featured the ex-Liverpool skipper's first squad number of 28 in what was his inaugural season of professional football. Gerrard spent two seasons with number 28 before switching to 17 in the 2000/01 season. He then landed on his iconic number 8 in 2004 which he stayed with until his departure from the club in 2015. Ekitike wore the No. 11 at Frankfurt but his favoured number is currently occupied by Mohamed Salah. He's since been given a temporary squad number of 54, similar to the rest of his new team-mates as the Reds are likely awaiting on several outgoings before handing their summer signings permanent numbers. After spending 17 months in Frankfurt, Liverpool fans will be glad to know that he was thought of glowingly by his former team-mate Mario Gotze who himself was close to an Anfield move in 2016 to reunite with Jurgen Klopp. Speaking to beIN Sports last year, the World Cup winner said: "I think Hugo Ekitike has an ability that few players have with his dribbling, his finishing, and his speed. Of course, he can help us [Frankfurt] a lot. "We saw it last year: we simply need everyone to be at 100 per cent. This applies to everyone who has played, to the new ones, to those who have been here a little longer. And he is undoubtedly an added value for the team."
