Luke Littler slams 'scum of the earth' as car window smashed during exhibition
Darts wonderkid Luke Littler took aim at the 'absolute scum of the Earth' who left his car window smashed while he was on the oche. The 18-year-old was in action in Norwich for an exhibition.
But it did not all quite go to plan for Littler as he returned to his car with the back window smashed in. Sharing the news on Instagram, he shared a picture of the car, alongside the caption: 'Just trying to do an exhibition in Norwich and this happens, absolute scum of the earth.'
Littler was playing at the MODUS Sports exhibition, alongside the legendary Raymond van Barneveld and Luke Humphries. The incident rounded off what has been a rollercoaster week for Littler. Earlier this week, he had secured top spot in the Premier League on Night 15 in Aberdeen.
Despite having already reached the semi-finals, he put on an absolute classic against Humphries and has now guaranteed himself as the first-placed playoff qualifier. He will be joined by Humphries and Gerwyn Price, the pair having also qualified.
Meanwhile, Littler's participation at this year's World Cup was also confirmed, having announced he will join forces with Humphries. Taking to Instagram announcing his pairing, Littler wrote: "Dream team confirmed. Bring on the world cup in June @lukehumphries180."
There was initially some doubt over Littler's participation in the competition having hinted that he would not play again in Germany until later in the year. But he allayed any fears that supporters may have had.
He said: "No, no I was always [going to play]. Luke [Humphries] will want to go back-to-back and obviously I want to win it for the first time. Even though it's not a major, it's still playing for your country."
Partner Humphries also gave his verdict and was sure Littler was going to be there. He said: "I saw Luke's post and I knew straight away that he didn't mean what he said. He probably forgot about the World Cup being in Germany. When I asked him about it he said: 'No, I'm definitely playing'. Of course he is.
"No-one's going to turn down playing for England. You can never turn down playing for your country. I would never turn it down in a million years, no matter how tired I was, how ill I was. I'm putting on the England jersey, whether I'm dying or not."
On the chance to finally be playing with Littler and not against him, Humphries added: "I feel like the fans are going to enjoy watching us both play together. The two best players in the world, a lot of pressure is going to be on our shoulders. I think everybody is expecting us to win it and no one's going to touch us."

Keira Walsh outlines hopes for Euro 2025 final as Lionesses face Spain repeat
England face Spain in the final of the European Championships on Sunday, two years after their World Cup final meeting where Spain's joy and jubilation was ultimately overshadowed by Luis Rubiales kissing Jenni Hermoso without her consent Keira Walsh is gunning for victory over Spain in Sunday's Euros final but still hopes her opponents can enjoy the game and avoid a repeat of the distractions which followed the 2023 World Cup final. What should have been a celebration for Spain after they beat England in Australia was marred by post-match controversy when Spanish football chief Luis Rubiales kissed player Jenni Hermoso without her consent. Rubiales denied charges of sexual assault, but was later found guilty by a Spanish court. He was acquitted of a separate charge of coercion in relation to the events which followed that final. England and Spain will meet again on Sunday in Basel and Walsh wants the football to be the main story this time. 'The most important thing for them as a footballer is that they can enjoy this final – that there's not the controversy surrounding it and the girls deserve to be there to play incredible football,' the midfielder said. 'First and foremost for them as human beings is that they can actually just go out and enjoy this game. After the game there was a lot of controversy and I don't think, for them, there was enough spotlight on how incredible they played and how incredible some of their players were, it was all about the other stuff that had gone on. 'As a professional, that was disappointing to see. I have a lot of friends in that team and I think they probably deserved a little bit more than what they got.' England saw a huge boost in women's football after their Euros triumph on home soil in 2022. It hasn't been the same in Spain, though, and Walsh - who was a Barcelona player at the time - saw some of it first-hand. "I think they probably could have had more [respect]. I think, the way our league jumped after we won the Euros and everything in and around it, if you compare it to Spain it probably wasn't the same and they won the World Cup." The Lionesses played 120 minutes for the second straight game in Tuesday's semi-final against Italy. They didn't need penalties, as was the case in the previous round against Sweden, but recovery will be the key after going the distance for the second time in a week. Sarina Wiegman's squad have been spending time out by the pool as they aim to take advantage of the extra day's recovery - they have five days between matches, rather than four during the group stages. However Walsh is prepared for another long, drawn out game and a chance to show the never-say-die mentality. '"Honestly, I think [that mentality] it's a part of being English," she said. "That's what we feel when we put the shirt on – it's that we give everything, we run ourselves into the ground. "That's the beauty of this squad is that we know that if we have to come off because we're tired, there's going to be someone else who's going to come on and finish the job. That's kind of just what we speak about as a team is that English resilience and it's something that we're really pride ourselves on and you can see that in the last two games that that's something we really believe in."

Alexander Isak's transfer preference as Liverpool and Saudi Arabia eye Newcastle star
Alexander Isak has told Newcastle that he wishes to leave the club this summer, with both Liverpool and clubs from Saudi Arabia interested in signing him Alexander Isak prefers a transfer to Liverpool this summer over a money-spinning switch to Saudi Arabia. Newcastle United star Isak has told the Magpies that he would like to leave the club, and has not joined the squad on their pre-season tour of Asia. The Magpies have put his absence down to 'minor thigh injury', but are now dealing with a situation that they had hoped to avoid this summer. The Times report that Isak has rejected Newcastle's attempts to commit his future to the club, and instead would like to explore his options over a potential move away. The report adds that Isak would be asking for around £300,000 a week in order to stay on Tyneside, with Newcastle only willing to stretch to around £200,000 a week. Such a contract would make the Swede the highest-paid player in Newcastle's history, with the likes of Anthony Gordon, Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali all earning around £150,000 a week. Isak currently earns £120k a week. Liverpool have expressed their interest in signing Isak and would hope to do a deal at around £120m, while Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal would be able to offer staggering wages of around £500,000 a week after tax. Despite that, The Times report adds that Isak still sees his future in top level European football, and he would prioritise a switch to Premier League champions Liverpool even thought the Reds wouldn't be able to offer Saudi-like terms. Liverpool have embarked upon a busy summer in the transfer market, and on Wednesday confirmed the signing of Hugo Ekitike from Frankfurt for an initial £69m which could rise to £79m. Ekitike had been a Newcastle target, and rejected a switch to Tyneside three times, but LIverpool's move for him doesn't mean that they would not be able to pull off a deal for Isak. On the contrary, the Reds' healthy PSR position makes them one of the few European sides who could afford the 25-year-old. Arne Slot's side are also expected to raise capital from the sales of several players before the closure of the transfer window, with Luis Diaz being targeted by Bayern Munich, Harvey Elliott wanted by West Ham and Darwin Nunez eyed by Italian, Spanish and Saudi clubs.
