Entitled plane passenger's drunk meltdown over being forced to sit next to woman she deemed 'too fat'

Daily Mail18-06-2025
An entitled plane passenger was caught having a drunk meltdown after she was forced to 'sit next to a f***ing fat lady' on a cross-country flight.
The 32-year-old repeatedly pulled another female passenger's hair, spat in her face and kicked her on a Southwest Airlines plane at LaGuardia Airport in New York en route to Kansas City early Monday morning.
Several clips also showed the woman screaming at the unidentified passenger over her weight and clothing.
The 'intoxicated passenger' who donned long black hair, a red baseball hat and an all-black outfit, appeared to get verbally confrontational with the other woman just moments before things turned physical.
She then gripped the other woman's hair and screamed: 'Shut the f*** up, don't f***ing touch me!'
Several people then stepped in, including two Southwest employees and another passenger, seemingly trying to de-escalate the situation.
A female employee then called another staff member on the phone and repeatedly asked the woman to let go of the other passenger's hair, but she refused to and flashed a cunning smile.
'I'm not even touching her hair b****,' the unhinged passenger replied while she hung onto the woman's hair and grinned.
A traveler who recorded the intense scene told Daily Mail the woman was so aggressive she even 'knocked the glasses off the southwest employee.'
'When she first started saying stuff I called out "why don't you be nice?" She turned around and called me ugly a few times and that I could never get a boyfriend or have sex. I looked at her and said I've been married for almost 20 years lady,' the passenger recalled.
After asking other staff to notify police of the incident, she shouted: '911!' with her arms held behind her back.
Still holding the woman's hair, she yelled: 'Yeah, I'm sorry! I didn't want to sit next to a f**ing fat lady.'
While people continued to try to get her to let go of the woman's hair, she shouted: 'You guys are already past the point of no return. You're already past the point of no return!'
Once she finally released her hand from the woman's head, her hands were placed behind her back as a Southwest flight attendant stepped in and secured some sort of restraints on her wrists.
'Look at this fat lady. Look at this fat a** b****. She can't even, look, you can't even see her stomach,' she babbled on as the woman she was talking about sat in front of her.
'It's horrible. Look at her outfit,' she added. 'Look at this fat a** b****. Hilarious. You can't even show your mouth because you're embarrassed,' she went on, referring to the woman's face mask.
The rowdy passenger then looked towards a man, also wearing a face mask, who was sitting next to the woman she repeatedly harassed.
She screamed: 'Shut the f*** up!... Sorry, I can't hear you ugly a** f***ing dude who's never gonna get laid again.'
Her comments only proceeded to intensify as she shouted at a man trying to help employees restrain her.
'Oh, I'm sorry black guy! My boyfriend's black so shut the f*** up. My boyfriend's f***ing a black guy, my boyfriend's a black, my boyfriend's black, my boyfriend's a f***ing black guy,' she said as she appeared to slur her words and stumble over the chair.
She then picked her head up and spit directly at the woman she was seen berating, getting saliva all over her face.
Those holding her back then tried to move her away as one employee appeared to use the woman's hair as a way to shield her spit from spreading.
'Miss, please, we're not doing all that. We're not doing all that,' the staffer said as she replied: 'Shut the f*** up!'
She continued to throw around profanities and talk poorly about the woman and the man sitting next to her.
'Ugly a** b****... You never got laid in your life. Your boyfriend's d*** is like two inches big - that's embarrassing,' she said.
'Oh, so sorry about your boyfriend. That's horrible. That's horrible.'
The crazy passenger then fell to the ground, planting her face in the aisle of the plane as she complained: 'I can't breathe.'
She then suddenly flipped around on the ground, shouting: 'Shut the f*** up I can't breathe,' as her hair covered her face.
Her legs then flew in the air as she continued cursing while passengers and staff looked on.
'Nobody's f***ing touching me! You're not letting me go motherf***er. You're corny as f***,' she continued.
The woman she was harassing then said she couldn't 'get out,' to which she replied: 'Yeah you can't get out! You're f***ing fat as sh**,' as she kicked the lady.
The woman and man then got out of their seats while staff dealt with the woman in the aisle.
She appeared to cooperate for a moment, but then she started yelling and kicking the employees and other passengers who tried to help.
The passenger was eventually escorted off the aircraft on a gurney and was not allowed to get back on the flight, a spokesperson with Southwest Airlines told Daily Mail.
The Port Authority Police Department was called around 1.10 am to a report of an 'intoxicated passenger,' a spokesperson with the Port Authority Police Department told Daily Mail.
She was transported to a hospital for evaluation before being taken into custody at the New York City Department of Correction for aggravated assault.
'We commend our Team for their professionalism during the incident,' Southwest said.

Gunman shot by officers after killing 3 people outside a Reno casino has died, police say

The suspected gunman who killed three people outside the largest casino in Reno, Nevada, before police officers shot and arrested him has died. Dakota Hawver, a 26-year-old Reno resident, died in the overnight hours, police announced Thursday morning. Hawver had been hospitalized in critical condition since the shooting at the Grand Sierra Resort. Two of the three people killed in Monday's shooting were visiting from Southern California for a bachelor party, while the third victim was a 66-year-old man who lived in the area, authorities said. Investigators haven't found any connections between Hawver, the casino or the victims, according to police in the neighboring town of Sparks who are leading the investigation. They said the motive is still unknown. Two other people wounded in the shooting remained hospitalized but were expected to make a full recovery, police said. Justin Aguila and Andrew Canepa, both 33 years old and from Southern California, were fatally shot from behind while waiting in the valet area for a ride to the airport, police said. Reno resident Angel Martinez was shot and killed by the suspect as he drove through the parking lot. Police said the shooter had been hiding behind a parked vehicle. Investigators determined the suspect fired around 80 rounds from a 9mm handgun that he had legally purchased two years ago. He has no criminal record and no history of mental health problems, officials have said. The shooting unfolded early Monday, when the gunman walked up to the valet area, pulled out the gun and pointed it at a group of people, police said. His weapon initially malfunctioned, but he was quickly able to get it to shoot before running through the parking lot, where he encountered an armed casino security guard. The gunman opened fire on the guard, who returned fire as the shooter fled again before being shot by police and taken into custody. The Grand Sierra Resort is one of Reno's most prominent venues. It has hosted concerts, sporting events and a campaign rally by President Donald Trump before the 2024 election. Near the California border and just northeast of Lake Tahoe, the town is a popular summer tourist destination.

Uber says some sexual assault accusers submitted fake receipts

July 31 (Reuters) - Uber (UBER.N), opens new tab said it found more than 100 instances in which passengers who claimed its drivers sexually assaulted or harassed them offered bogus or doctored receipts to prove ridership, or did not explain their inability to provide receipts. In a Wednesday court filing, Uber urged U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer in San Francisco to order 21 plaintiffs with suspect receipts to justify why their claims should not be dismissed, and 90 plaintiffs to provide receipts or "non-boilerplate" reasons for their absence. At least 11 law firms represent the various plaintiffs, court papers show. Those firms had no immediate comment or did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Thursday. They were not accused of wrongdoing. Uber is trying to reduce its liability in nationwide federal litigation comprising more than 2,450 lawsuits alleging driver misconduct. It faces several hundred additional lawsuits in San Francisco Superior Court. The San Francisco-based company has maintained it should not be liable for criminal conduct by drivers it connects with passengers, and that its background checks and disclosures were sufficient. On July 8, Breyer dismissed some fraud and liability claims that were based on ads promoting Uber's ride-sharing service as a safe alternative to drunk driving. In Wednesday's filing, Uber said some fake receipts appear to have been generated through third-party websites. Uber said some receipts contained math errors or bogus surcharges, changed female driver names to male names, were timestamped before rides occurred, had stray marks, or used formatting that does not match its own. One plaintiff submitted two receipts for a single ride, while two plaintiffs submitted different versions of the same receipt, the company said. "Nothing is more critical to the integrity of our judicial system than honesty," Uber said. "It is difficult to conceive an act of misconduct graver than the outright fabrication of evidence that plaintiffs here undertook." The case is In re Uber Technologies Inc Passenger Sexual Assault Litigation, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California, No. 23-03084.

Drunk Wyoming man filmed stealing airport golf cart and joyriding it through terminal

A Wyoming man has been arrested after viral video showed him stealing an airport golf cart and taking it for a joyride down a moving walkway. Police say Kevin Sinning, 29, was visibly intoxicated when he allegedly got into a cart at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport in New York just before 1am on Monday, reported WKBW. Video shared on social media appeared to show Sinning at the wheel of the white golf cart which was left unattended with the keys still in it. The six-seater cart created a trail of damage as Sinning drove it down the moving walkway. Another video showed Sinning riding the cart down one side of the walkway then turning around at the end of the terminal and driving up the other side. A group of airport employees shouted at the man to stop as he continued to drive the cart through the airport. 'My thoughts were, did he breach security? Did he get in somewhere that he shouldn't have got into, you know, what was his intentions from the get go? Was he armed?' witness Tom Brennon told WGRZ. 'So I think that's why a lot of people took a safe step back just to, you know, let everything play out until Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) police arrived.' The footage showed the shattered glass from the railing and destroyed pieces of metal left behind. 'I could tell something wasn't right with him. He was not responding to demands from the people telling him to stop and they had it all. He was totally disregarding the people around him,' Brennon said. Sinning was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, possession of stolen property, criminal nuisance and grand larceny. Social media commenters were shocked by how calm Sinning appeared in the viral video. 'Why is he so unbothered, like I would expect some sort of reaction even if it was small,' one person said. 'Casually causing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damage,' said another. 'He thought he was playing Mario carts in real life,' a third person said. 'He's so nonchalant about it too,' added a fourth. 'I think the most alarming thing for me is that there is absolutely no appearance of second guessing or hesitation for the entire duration,' fifth person said. Others speculated about his motivation for driving the cart down the walkway and wondered why he made that decision. 'I guess someone just got fired or wanted to get fired,' one person said. 'That's a very expensive intrusive thought,' said a second. A third person said, 'I admit that's an inventive way to wreck both a people mover and a golf cart at the same time.
