Marvel Fan Sneaks Onto AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Set and Spills Location Secrets — GeekTyrant

Geek Tyrant22-05-2025
Over the weekend, a Marvel fan managed break onto the Avengers: Doomsday set at Pinewood Studios in the UK. According to their own account, they found a hole in the surrounding fence, slipped through, and wandered around the production site of one of the most highly-guarded blockbusters in the making.
While they didn't exactly walk into a climactic battle scene or stumble across Robert Downey Jr. walking around as Doctor Doom, they did get a glimpse at some interesting location details, and also helped themselves to some craft services while they were at it. Priorities.
It has since been revealed that he's been hit with a formal warning from Marvel Studios, so we don't expect to see him breaking into any more movie sets anytime soon.
The biggest reveal is that there are scenes being shot on Madripoor. A set clearly pointed to the fictional island nation making a return in the MCU. For comic fans, Madripoor is most famously tied to Wolverine's Patch persona, and for MCU viewers, it was introduced in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier along with the reveal of Sharon Carter's mysterious new identity as the Power Broker.
Could Doomsday finally dig into that storyline? With the Russo Brothers reportedly back at the helm, it's very much on the table.
Another detail spotted was signage for something called 'The Webslingers Inn.' Whether that's part of the actual film or just an inside joke among the crew remains unclear.
And while this mystery set explorer didn't leak any plot details or earth-shattering reveals, their rogue adventure certainly lit a fire under fan theories, and definitely under Marvel's security team.. Given the scope of this breach, it wouldn't be surprising if this individual is soon dealing with more than just social media clout.
Meanwhile, Anthony Mackie, who now wears the MCU's Captain America mantle, recently teased some massive stakes in Avengers: Doomsday :
'You know what? I was really excited, man. It's one of those stories that really pushes the boundaries, and it — the cliffhanger at the end, you know, the last moments of the film — it really builds and sets us up for a way for the continuation of the Marvel saga, which is really exciting.'
And if that wasn't ominous enough, he added:
'You see these characters, and you see how they're introduced and how they play in the universe moving forward, and no one is safe. Everyone is expendable.'
Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars following on May 7, 2027.

Marvel's EYES OF WAKANDA Will Explore the Hidden History of Black Panthers and Tease MCU Cameos — GeekTyrant

Get ready to return to Wakanda, but in a very different way. Marvel Studios is about to drop a brand-new animated series called Eyes of Wakanda , and it's taking the Marvel Universe deep into the past, showing us how the legacy of the Black Panther has echoed through time. Created by Todd Harris and produced by Ryan Coogler, Eyes of Wakanda is a four-part anthology series that journeys across different eras of Wakandan warriors. Forget what you thought you knew about the Marvel timeline, this is about ancient history, untold stories and battles, and how the powerful nation of Wakanda has always been more than meets the eye. 'It's about how Wakandans intersected through history — those futuristic, Star Trek-level Africans who bounce through time,' Harris told Empire. These aren't just any stories either. 'One of them features a fierce group of seafaring people, inspired by actual Bronze Age tribes. That idea came straight from Coogler. 'They were raiders who robbed their way through the Mediterranean,' Harris explained. 'Which gave us an open [book] in terms of creating a world based on very vague but dramatic circumstances.' That blend of real-world history and Wakandan mythology opens the door for some seriously cool storytelling. While the series aims to introduce a lineup of fresh heroes from Wakanda's past, Harris also said, 'There's definitely going to be some familiarity,' teasing that some established MCU characters will also appear. With Eyes of Wakanda is set to premier this Friday, August 1, on Disney+, fans won't have to wait long to dive in. Between its historical scope, potential MCU cameos, and new takes on Wakandan lore, this series is shaping up to be something pretty cool. Source: Empire

Jenna Ortega goes all out in goth glamour while promoting 'Wednesday' Season 2

'Wednesday' Season 2, Part 1 will be released on Netflix on Aug. 6. When it comes to gothic style, Jenna Ortega knows best. While promoting Wednesday Season 2 in Paris and the U.K. this week, Ortega stepped out in an array of high-fashion looks that exuded gothic glamour. With the help of Enrique Melendez, Ortega's celebrity stylist of 14 years, the Wednesday star has consistently been clad in couture, with fashion houses like Vivienne Westwood, Givenchy, Ashi Studio and Elena Velez lending dramatic garments for the occasion. 'I definitely feel like I have a bit more Gothic taste than I did when I was a teenager,' Ortega previously told Harper's Bazaar of her evolving style. 'I've always been into dark things or been fascinated by them, but I was a Disney kid, and the whole thing is being bubbly and kind and overly sweet.' That Ortega is once again serving up sartorial perfection — without leaning into convention — should come as no surprise. It seems no fabric is off-limits to the 22-year-old actress when curating her hauntingly romantic wardrobe: Snakeskin-printed latex and strands of blonde-dyed hair play just as crucial a role as Victorian ruffles and delicate lace when it comes to bringing her eerily elegant style to life. Ortega's propensity for dark femininity also comes through in her now-signature makeup look: a soft smoky eye and bleached brows. Below, here's everything she's worn so far during her press tour for Wednesday Season 2, which premieres on Netflix on Aug. 6. Ortega's latest look is the mauve Vivienne Westwood gown with a plunging ruffled neckline that she wore to the Wednesday Season 2 premiere in Paris on July 31. The romantic design was cinched by a sheer corset with exposed boning. On Thursday, while continuing to promote the show in Paris, Ortega debuted a daring garment from Elena Velez's fall 2025 'Leech' collection: a plunging, slinky beige frock covered in blonde strands of hair. For the London premiere on Wednesday, Ortega stepped out in a sheer, pale yellow frock from Ashi Studios' fall collection. The couture garment was made of snakeskin-printed latex and featured a body-hugging bodice, high-neck collar and frayed edges. Archival Donna Karan? Count us in. The same night of the London premiere, Ortega was spotted in a silky, champagne-hued gown from DKNY's resort 2004 collection. While in London, Ortega put an edgy spin on suiting in a subtly striped charcoal suit from Ann Demeulemeester's fall 2025 collection. The actress posted the ensemble to her Instagram on Tuesday. Ortega kicked off the Wednesday press tour with a sculptural number by Givenchy: a leather bullet bra with exaggerated sleeves, padded gloves and a long, high-waisted skirt. She sported the look during the show's launch party at London's Natural History Museum on Sunday. Solve the daily Crossword
