This one-of-a-kind race remains the only indoor snow run in the Middle East, drawing runners from around the world.
Participants aged 16 and above can choose between two race categories: 3 km or 5 km. Open to all fitness levels and nationalities, the event promises a unique summer experience with sub-zero temperatures inside Ski Dubai dropping to -4°C—offering a stark and exciting contrast to Dubai's desert heat.
The DXB Snow Run is part of Dubai's broader push to promote inclusive, innovative sports events that support the emirate's vision for sports tourism and year-round athletic engagement. It also emphasizes the city's commitment to providing opportunities for people of all abilities and backgrounds to stay active.
Training sessions are already underway to help participants gear up for race day. Ski Dubai is hosting daily morning snow hikes for ages 13 to 70—running Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, and weekends from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
Registration is now live on PremierOnline and will remain open until 15 May 2025.
With each edition, the DXB Snow Run continues to solidify Dubai's status as a global destination for unique sporting experiences—on and off the slopes.

Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, inaugurated the Global Encounters Festival 2025 on July 21. To run till July 27, it is a gathering of more than 4,000 young artists and athletes from over 50 countries, uniting in the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and shared humanity. In his keynote address, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan said: 'I am pleased to express our country's great pleasure in welcoming so many festival participants from around the world. I am especially pleased to warmly greet and welcome His Highness Prince Aly Mohammed Aga Khan and His Highness Prince Amyn Mohammed Aga Khan. Their respected worldview, and their strong commitment to preserving our Islamic heritage and traditions, are well known. Their presence will certainly enrich this festival.' Ministry of Sports organises second ‘Customer Councils' session of 2025
UAE: The Ministry of Sports convened the second 'Customer Councils' session of 2025, as part of its commitment to strengthening partnerships with private sector sports organisations and national federations. In line with the 'We the UAE 2031' vision under the 'Forward Ecosystem' pillar, the session sought to advance the goals of the Zero Bureaucracy programme by improving the quality of sports services provided to customers, as well as streamlining sports licensing services. Held at the Oxygen Gym in Dubai, the second edition of the council was attended by specialised teams from the Ministry of Sports and over 30 representatives from the National Paralympic Committee, Dubai Sports Council, Sharjah Sports Council, and Fujairah Municipality, and various sports clubs, private sports centres and sports federations. The Ministry of Sports emphasized that the second Customer Councils of 2025 reflected the Ministry's aim to promote a customer-driven approach in service design. As a vital part of the long-term growth and development of the sporting ecosystem, we highly prioritise enhancing the private sector's contributions to the advancement of sporting activities. We believe that customers are best equipped to identify challenges and present ideas that elevate services. L'Étape Dubai by Tour de France to return to the Middle East in 2026
Following its successful debut in February this year, L'Étape Dubai by Tour de France will return for its second edition on January, 25, 2026. Organised with the support of Dubai Sports Council, the world-class cycling event is set to attract even more participants, while offering an expanded weekend programme of activities for all of the family. The inaugural edition of L'Étape Dubai welcomed over 1,000 participants, including 243 international riders and 266 Emiratis, making it the largest first-edition amateur cycling event of its kind in the UAE. The race featured 101 km and 50 km competitive courses, a 20 km family-friendly ride and kids' races, passing key landmarks across the city. Reinforcing its status as the premier platform for amateur cyclists to experience the spirit of the Tour de France in the Middle East, the 2026 edition of L'Étape Dubai aims to build on this momentum by increasing participation to a total 2,000 cyclists across the various categories. Pre-registration opens on July 27, offering a 15% early-bird discount ahead of the official registration launch in September. In addition to the main race, the 2026 weekend programme will expand its community and family engagement elements. The Saturday (24 January) will once again host the popular, non-competitive Family Ride and Kids' Races, with new initiatives and family-oriented activities. The weekend will also feature an enhanced fan village and broader race village activations, with community cycling activities being planned after the summer in the lead-up to the race. The 2026 edition of L'Étape Dubai is also set to welcome legendary former Tour de France riders to the UAE, building on the participation of three former Tour de France riders in 2025. Essa Sharif, Director of the Sports Events Department at the Dubai Sports Council, said: "We are delighted to welcome this truly world-famous race back to Dubai, following the huge success of the inaugural edition held in 2024, that witnessed the participation of more than 1,000 amateur cyclists of various nationalities from within and outside the country. 'I am confident that the next edition will be even more successful, thanks to the heightened stature of cycling in Dubai and the availability of tracks extending hundreds of kilometres across the city. This is in addition to the increasing number of people practicing this wonderful sport, and the extensive experience of the Dubai Sports Council and the organising committee in hosting cycling races.'
