Blake Lively Accuses Justin Baldoni's Team Of Leaking Her Deposition As Part Of PR Stunt

Blake Lively claims Justin Baldoni's lawyers deliberately leaked her deposition transcript to tabloid media in a desperate move to intensify a smear campaign against the actress. The ongoing legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni reached a new height after the actress's attorneys filed a letter in the federal court, accusing Baldoni's lawyers of 'public relations work" in hurrying to upload the 292-page draft transcript of Lively's deposition to the public docket 'on the day they received it". Lively's legal team claimed there was no 'conceivable legal purpose" for Baldoni's lawyers to file the draft transcript of Lively's deposition in its entirety as the document had 'not been reviewed, corrected or finalised". The Rhythm Section star's lawyers argued that Baldoni's attorneys deliberately leaked sensitive information from the deposition to the tabloid media to intensify a smear campaign against the actress. They said the 'tactic perfectly demonstrates the counsel-as-PR agent role…" In harsh language, Lively's attorneys condemned the move as 'fodder for the Wayfarer Defendants' media campaign." They ordered a federal judge to immediately seal the deposition transcript. According to People, this reaction from Lively's attorneys is in accordance with the plan Baldoni's team has hatched. As the 37-year-old now fights to remove her deposition transcript from the public docket, Baldoni's team just might argue Blake Lively is trying to conceal information that could be used against the actress. The deposition in question took place on July 31 at the Manhattan office of one of Lively's attorneys. As Deadline reports, Justin Baldoni had attended the deposition in person. While the entire session was meant to be a private affair, Lively's lawyers were astonished that several reports about the meeting, including what Lively chose to wear that day flooded the internet in a heartbeat. Blake Lively had initially accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment on the set of It Ends With Us. The 37-year-old actress complained that Baldoni violated her boundary and deliberately kissed her for too long during the filming of intimate scenes. Per a report by the TMZ, Lively later discovered to her shock that Baldoni also fat-shamed the actress. The Five Feet Apart actor branded the reports as false sexual harassment complaints. Alleging defamation and invasion of privacy, Justin Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist in January this year. Over 84,000 indian gaming accounts leaked in 2024: Kaspersky

Vietnam, Aug 5 (PTI) Over 84,000 online gaming account user details were leaked in India in 2024, the global cybersecurity and digital privacy company Kaspersky on Tuesday said. The maximum number of leaks of gaming account user details was witnessed in Thailand, the minimum such instances were in Singapore in the Asia-Pacific (APAC)Region, it said. The APAC region has emerged as the global epicentre of gaming, with more than half of the world's gamers based here. Markets such as China, India, Japan, South Korea, and the rapidly growing economies of Southeast Asia contribute significantly to this dominance. According to Kaspersky, Thailand recorded 1,62,892 leaked cases, followed by the Philippines with 99,273, Vietnam 87,969, India 84,262, Indonesia 69,909, Malaysia 37,718, South Korea 37,097, China 18,786, Sri Lanka 10,877, and Singapore 4,262 leaked cases, the company said. The company further said that 11 million gaming account credentials were leaked last year. The region's rapid digital adoption, widespread mobile penetration, and youth-driven demand have fueled exponential growth across both casual and competitive gaming segments, it added. With nearly 1.8 billion players and growing, the gaming ecosystem in APAC is not only the largest by volume but also among the most influential in shaping global gaming trends and behaviours, the company said. 'Thus, it does not come as a surprise that the region is fast-becoming a breeding ground for data-stealing cyber threats," the company said. Addressing an event here, Adrian Hia, the company's Managing Director for Asia Pacific, said that virus threats have gone up significantly over the last two decades from one new virus threat every hour to 4,67, 000 new virus threats every day in the year 2004. The company's global non-audited revenue was at USD 822 million in 2024. Kaspersky registered 11 per cent sales growth last year. '...Of Natural Causes': British Coroner's Report Confirms Reason Behind Sunjay Kapur's Death

Last Updated: The Surrey Coroner's office stated that the investigation into Sunjay Kapur's death "has revealed that he died of natural causes". Businessman Sunjay Kapur, who died last month while playing polo in London, died of natural causes, British medical authorities said in a letter to his wife, Priya Sachdev Kapur, on Sunday. The Surrey Coroner's office stated that the investigation into Sunjay Kapur's death 'has revealed that he died of natural causes" and listed left ventricular hypertrophy and ischemic heart disease as the causes of death. The left ventricular hypertrophy is a condition in which the muscular wall of the heart's left ventricle thickens, making it harder for blood to be pumped effectively. The condition often develops when the heart is working harder than normal or because of higher blood pressure. Meanwhile, ischemic heart disease involves a condition in which the heart muscle doesn't receive enough blood and oxygen, usually due to narrowed arteries. The coroner's office in its report, mentioned, 'In light of this, the investigation has now been discontinued pursuant to Section 4 of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009… there will be no need for an inquest." NDTV reported. They added that Rani Kapur's subsequent claims – that he was 'murdered as part of a transnational conspiracy' are bewildering. Notably, Rani Kapur last week wrote to Surrey Police and said she has 'credible and concerning evidence… that suggests that her son's death may not have been accidental or natural, but may have involved foul play…" Rani Kapur's letter gained massive public attention, pointing towards a family dispute. This started with her e-mail to the board of Sona Comstar demanding that it postpone an annual general meeting. She identified herself as the 'majority shareholder of the Sona Group', which includes Sona Comstar and Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd and alleged she had been 'compelled to sign documents" while she was grieving for her son. She also questioned the decision to appoint 'certain people (i.e., Priya Sachdev Kapur)". In fact, she also highlighted 'gross illegalities" in company affairs. Soon after Rani Kapur's statement, the company responded and stated that Ms Kapur is not a shareholder, majority or otherwise, and had not been one since 2019. The company said in May 2019 a 'declaration of significant beneficial ownership" named Sunjay Kapur as the 'sole beneficial owner…" The board also denied her claims that she was forced to sign documents behind closed doors. 'No documents had been signed or obtained from her since Sunjay Kapur's death," the board said. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
