Despite suffering from a season-ending injury, the former Portland Trail Blazers star is still sought after by most teams, including the Miami Heat. Before landing in Milwaukee, Lillard expressed his desire to play alongside Jimmy Butler for the Miami Heat. Now that Butler is gone, though, the franchise is still interested in the former Weber State guard to be part of their roster. The NBA insiders reported that if Phoenix buys out the contract of the three-time All-Star, they could add him to the team. 'The Heat, meanwhile, have serious interest in signing Lillard as well as exploring the prospect of adding a bought-out Beal. Yet it's fair to wonder why Lillard would be looking to sign quickly with any team unless he's searching for organizational support as he rehabs from his own Achilles tear," the report read. This has led to multiple teams gaining interest in acquiring the former Toledo player. Rollins has impressed teams with his impressive play last season, his best season. He was mostly in a reserve role, but had multiple chances as a starter for Milwaukee. Aside from the Bucks, the former 44th pick in 2022 has gotten buzz from multiple Western Conference teams. Advertisement "Coming off the best season of his career, 23-year-old free agent guard Ryan Rollins has drawn interest from the Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns, San Antonio Spurs, Portland Trail Blazers, and Los Angeles Lakers, league sources told HoopsHype," Scotto wrote. Rollins played in 56 games during the previous season, including 19 as a starter. During that span, he averaged 6.2 points on 48.7% shooting from the field. The youngster also made 40.8% of his shots from downtown. "Despite withdrawing a qualifying offer to Rollins, which reduced his cap hold to gain more cap space, the Bucks still have Early Bird Rights to re-sign him." Scotto explained that the Blazers could use their non-taxpayer mid-level exception for Rollins. The Spurs and Lakers, though, have bi-annual exceptions in their salary cap. Will Caitlin Clark play for Indiana Fever this weekend?
For the fifth consecutive time this WNBA regular season, the Indiana Fever will be without Caitlin Clark. The star guard will miss the game with a left groin injury and has been ruled out by the team, ESPN is reporting. The Fever take on the Los Angeles Sparks Saturday night. Indiana is 9-8 on the season while the Sparks have a record of 5-13. A left quad injury sidelined Clark the first time around this year. After missing five games, she returned to play in five before the more recent groin injury. Clark, in her second season after a record-breaking career with the Iowa Hawkeyes, is averaging 18.2 points, 8.9 assists, five rebounds and 2.6 made 3-pointers per game. During both her time in college and her first WNBA season, Clark did not miss any times across five seasons. Indiana head coach Stephanie White told reporters that Clark has not gone full speed in practice and was listed as our on the injury report.
