Actress Nupur Sanon, sister of Kriti Sanon, has landed in hot water on social media after people came across her fashion brand's website. The brand is being called out for selling 'basic' looking clothes at sky-high prices. While some users were simply confused, others didn't hold back from calling the whole thing a scam. The main issue most people had was with the pricing. On the website, even the cheapest dress is around Rs 7,000. A kurta set, which many thought looked quite ordinary, is priced at Rs 26,500. In fact, most of the outfits on the site range from Rs 8,000 to Rs 12,000 – and they don't seem to be anything special.Netizens took to Reddit to express their frustration. Screenshots from the site show an asymmetrical dress listed at Rs 10,900 and a maxi dress for Rs 10,700. Some of the mini dresses, jumpsuits and rompers also cost between Rs 9,000 to Rs 12,000. For most, this pricing made no sense. They felt the clothes looked like fast fashion and didn't have the kind of design, material or creativity to justify the high price tags.Social media was flooded with jokes, memes.'

(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Ashwin Kumar 's 'Mahavatar Narsimha' has turned out to be the biggest surprise at the box office this month. The animated mythological film, which opened at just Rs 1.75 crore on Day 1, has now soared to a total of Rs 106.2 crore by Day 12. What's even more impressive is the huge jump during its second weekend, with Day 10 (Sunday) alone collecting Rs 23.1 crore, as reported by the Sacnilk website. Myth meets momentum Mahavatar Narsimha tells the tale of the demon king Hiranyakashyap, who declares himself god, only to be defied by his own son, Prahlad, a staunch devotee of Vishnu. It continues its dominance into the second week. Regional language versions have also steadily picked up momentum. The film is getting magnificent response from the viewers. Another review reads, "#MahavatarNarsimha review: A film in which the lead character has an INSANE amount of aura but is reduced to a cameo role. Pretty live in a world where people don't believe in superheroes but do believe in gods and such stories (of which I believe in neither). " A third review reads, "5/5 – A Divine Masterpiece #MahavtarNarsimha is not just a movie — it's a spiritual experience, a proud representation of our Sanatan Dharma and #Satyalogy. this film brings to life the divine story of Shri Narsimha Avatar #Sanatan." 'Kingdom' box office collections day 7: Vijay Deverakonda's action drama fades fast; mints Rs 44.44 crores

(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Vijay Deverakonda 's much-hyped action film Kingdom opened to a solid Rs 18 crore on its first day, but the momentum didn't last long. Reportedly over its first week, the film witnessed a sharp decline in collections. The movie wrapped up Day 7 with a total of Rs 44.44 crore. A promising start, but a quick dip According to the Sacnilk website, after a strong Thursday, the Friday dip was steep as it came down by nearly 58%. Although there was a slight recovery over the weekend, the film couldn't maintain its grip through the weekdays. By Monday, the numbers had plummeted to just Rs 2 crore, with Tuesday and Wednesday following the same downward trend. Kingdom - Official Telugu Trailer Brotherhood meets betrayal Directed by Jersey fame Gowtam Tinnanuri , 'Kingdom' follows the story of Constable Surya 'Suri,' played by Vijay Deverakonda, who finds himself in an undercover operation in Sri Lanka. The plot takes a gripping turn when Suri's own brother becomes involved in a political conspiracy. It drags him into a dangerous game of loyalty and betrayal. Even though the film had a good content, several criticisms aimed at it's lack of emotional connection with the characters. OTT release update Despite underwhelming box office numbers, all eyes are now on the film's digital release. According to Deccan Chronicle reports, Netflix has acquired the streaming rights to Kingdom, although the platform hasn't officially announced the premiere date. With the theatrical run winding down, the OTT release could give the film a second life—especially among viewers who may have skipped it in theatres. The film also stars Bhagyashri Borse, Satya Dev, and Ayyappa P Sharma in key roles. While Kingdom may not have made the kind of theatrical splash fans were hoping for, it is surely one of the best films in Vijay Deverakonda's film career.

Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri , was released theatrically on August 1, 2025. The film received strong word of mouth from critics and audiences, with particular appreciation for its gripping narrative and strong portrayals. On Tuesday, 5 August, Dhadak 2 recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 29.22%. It registered 13.70% for morning shows, which improved to 28.60% in the afternoon and recorded 32.07% in the evening.
