This innovative "telesurgery-on-wheels" initiative brings cutting-edge surgical technology and skill-building opportunities directly to hospitals and healthcare professionals across the country, he added.
According to an official statement, developed indigenously, the unit is equipped to enable real-time collaboration and demonstrate the advanced features and capabilities of the SSI Mantra Surgical Robotic System.
Through live simulations, interactive training modules, and guided demonstrations, it offers surgeons, medical students, and healthcare stakeholders a first-hand experience. This initiative marks a step towards increasing awareness and acceptance of robotic surgery in India - particularly by making cutting-edge surgical technologies more accessible to tier two and tier three cities.
The minister said that it is a matter of immense pride that Haryana is home to SS Innovations, a company leading India's charge in the global field of surgical robotics.

Doctor Suspended For Refusing Anti-Rabies Shot To Wife Of Padma Shri Awardee In Madhya Pradesh
Dhar: A doctor at a community health centre in Dhar district has been suspended for allegedly refusing to administer an anti-rabies injection to the wife of Subroto Das, a Padma Shri awardee, over the weekend, an official said on Monday. The incident occurred in the tourist town of Mandu, around 38 km off the Dhar district headquarters on Saturday, where Vadodara-based Dr Das and his wife Sushmita Das (60) were on a visit, when she was bitten on her leg by a stray dog. When the couple approached a local health facility for an anti-rabies shot, the attending doctors allegedly declined to administer it, citing unavailability, and redirected them to a far-off health centre. Sushmita Das was eventually administered the injection at the Mandu health centre, her husband told PTI. She is fine, Dr Das told PTI on Monday afternoon when contacted over the phone. "The worst thing I didn't like is that she (the doctor) didn't even check my wife. A doctor has to do that," he said. Taking serious note of the incident, Dhar district collector Priyank Mishra ordered an inquiry by a team from Indore. Based on the preliminary findings, Dr Chandni Dabrolia was found prima facie guilty and suspended by the health department. "Any government institution, be it a hospital, college, school, service centre or office, must treat every service-seeking citizen respectfully and deliver the required service within the stipulated time," Mishra told reporters here. He said the doctor's behaviour was inappropriate and her actions unacceptable, which warranted the suspension based on the initial probe.

Giving more details on the required documents, the official said Aadhaar card, PAN card, proof of residence in Delhi, passport-size photograph, and any other documents under bank-specific KYC norms will be needed. The Delhi government, in its communication to banks and financial institutions, has invited expressions of interest for the issuance of these cards. It said these cards will usher in a new era of safe, accessible, and paperless public transport for women and transgenders in the city. The official further clarified that while the government will not charge commuters for travel, issuing banks may levy a nominal card issuance or maintenance fee as per their policies. In case the card is lost, users must report it to the issuing bank, which may provide a replacement as per its terms. The card will need to be activated through the Automatic Fare Collection System (AFCS) of DTC before use. Though the card can be used on other transit systems after topping up, the free travel benefit is restricted to DTC and Cluster buses under this scheme. 'No card will be issued directly by DTC. Registration is completely online through the DTC portal, and cards are issued only after full KYC verification by the selected bank,' the official added. The Delhi Transport Corporation operates 44 depots across Delhi and one in Noida. It has an active fleet of 3,266 buses, comprising 1,950 electric and 1,694 CNG buses. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, during her Budget Day address in March, criticised the earlier practice of issuing pink paper tickets to women, alleging that it was a major source of corruption under the previous administration. The report noted that the global agricultural drone market is projected to touch $5.89 billion by the end of the decade.
