Matt Cardona Makes John Cena Post After Getting Called Out During Smackdown
Matt Cardona Makes John Cena Post After Getting Called Out During Smackdown originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
WWE Undisputed Champion John Cena and TNA Wrestling superstar Matt Cardona broke the professional wrestling fourth wall over the past two days.

It all started during Friday's episode of WWE's weekly show, 'SmackDown,' where Cena faced off against Ron Killings in the main event. Ultimately, Cena lost the match by disqualification because he hit Killings in the head with his championship belt.
Then, CM Punk, a longtime rival of Cena's, came out to engage in a brawl with him that ended with Cena slamming Punk through a table. As Punk laid through the broken table in pain, Cena created his own version of Punk's infamous 'Pipebomb' segment from 2011, where he let his feelings be known about his longtime rival.
As Cena's segment continued, he decided to give a shoutout to three former WWE superstars: Claudio Castagnoli (Cesaro), Nic Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler) and Cardona (Zack Ryder). This caused the crowd to burst into cheers, and Cardona issued a response to the moment on X.

'Hey @JohnCena,' Cardona posted on Friday along with an old photo of himself and Cena on Saturday from his time in the WWE.
However, the callout is not a surprise because the WWE started a multi-year partnership with TNA Wrestling in January, allowing both promotions to have their wrestlers to compete in each other's companies.
So far, the partnership has been primarily focused on WWE's developmental show NXT, where TNA superstars such as Joe Hendry and TNA Knockout World Champion Masha Slamovich have competed in several matches.
Meanwhile, Punk is expected to challenge Cena for the WWE Undisputed Championship at the Night of Champions pay-per-view on June 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

GB News announces expansion into the US
GB News is expanding into the US with a new live nightly show hosted by Bev Turner. The news channel, launched in 2021, will open a new bureau in Washington DC as it launches its services across the Atlantic. The two-hour programme will begin in September from a studio 'close to the White House' and will 'bring British audiences closer than ever to the political news which unfolds each day in America'. The programme will feature 'headline-making exclusives, thought-provoking interviews with major figures, and in-depth analysis of the Trump presidency as well as stories from across the US', according to GB News. The move includes an extension of GB News' distribution across the US, with content to be made available free to American audiences. Turner said: 'With the gutsiest guests and the most iconic backdrops, I intend to keep viewers up late. Fronting the next stage of GB News's evolution is both a huge honour and an immense responsibility, and I cannot wait to represent the people's channel on a global stage. 'We will be disrupting the late-night TV space as the next day's papers land in the UK and America's prime-time analysis gears up. This affords us the chance to deliver a unique UK-USA hybrid of political, cultural and social issues from the start-line of global politics. 'We will fulfil the need for a British voice with an international perspective to help our viewers get a sense of who's really on their side. 'Tapping into Washington's heartbeat and delivering real-time perspective with editorial edge, the show will be alive, and a conversation that's punchy, intelligent and unmissable. What happens in DC reverberates in GB and we will capture every moment. 'Our highly engaged British audience understands how events in the US are directly impacting government policy and living standards here. 'We have a job to do: bridging the gap between British and American politics in the fearless style that typifies GB News. 'We will include the very best guests that Washington has to offer, alongside quintessentially British voices in an unparalleled assessment of events on both sides of the Atlantic. 'This isn't just a media experiment, this is a market intervention. And I look forward to leading it from the front.' Turner, 51, who began presenting her own show on GB News in 2022, previously hosted a talk show on LBC and has appeared on ITV's This Morning and Good Morning Britain. Michael Booker, GB News editorial director, said: 'This is a huge moment for GB News as we grow our presence and deliver more of the fearless journalism that defines us. 'The world's biggest political story is playing out in Washington, and its impact is being felt daily in towns and cities across Britain. 'More than ever before, what happens in the USA is having huge consequences, both socially and economically, for the people of Britain. 'We've seen time and again this year that a decision made on one day in Washington DC is felt the next day in Washington, Tyne and Wear. 'It's essential the people's channel is right there, reporting live, asking the tough questions, and telling it like it is. 'While others scale back on live free coverage, GB News is investing in our content. 'Our new Washington investment, our expanded programming and our brilliant on-the-ground team will ensure we're not just reporting on the story but that we're right at the heart of it.'

Justin Baldoni Makes Public Appearance at Disneyland Amid Legal Dispute With Blake Lively
Justin Baldoni stepped out at Disneyland shortly after a major legal update involving his $400 million countersuit against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. As videos of the actor's public outing circulated online, the legal battle surrounding defamation and extortion claims continued to unfold behind the scenes. Here's what Baldoni's appearance reveals amid the lawsuit's dismissal and what both sides have said about the ongoing case. Justin Baldoni visited Disneyland's California Adventure Park over the weekend, just days after the court dismissed his $400 million countersuit against Blake Lively. TikTok videos posted on June 28 show Baldoni smiling, wearing a Star Wars shirt, and interacting with fans as he walked through the crowd. In one video, he approached a fan named Carmen who had been filming him, prompting a rush of attention from nearby parkgoers. The sighting came shortly after Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freedman, announced that the actor would not amend his legal claims. On June 9, Judge Lewis J. Liman granted a motion to dismiss Baldoni's countersuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist Leslie Sloane. The judge also dismissed a related lawsuit against The New York Times. While the ruling allowed for amendments on certain claims, Baldoni opted not to refile. Freedman said in a June 24 statement to People, 'The Court's decision on the motion to dismiss has no effect whatsoever on the truth that there was no harassment nor any smear campaign, and it does not in any way affect our vigorous defense against Ms. Lively's claims.' He added, 'Discovery is proceeding and we are confident that we will prevail against these factually baseless accusations.' Blake Lively responded through her legal team, Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb, stating: 'Today's opinion is a total victory and a complete vindication for Blake Lively, along with those that Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties dragged into their retaliatory lawsuit, including Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Sloane and The New York Times.' The spokesperson added, 'The Court's dismissal of Baldoni's sham lawsuit was a total victory after all' (via US Weekly). The court denied Lively and Reynolds' motions for fees and damages without prejudice. Baldoni and Lively return to court in December 2024. New Report Emerges on Possible LeBron James, Anthony Davis Reunion
New Report Emerges on Possible LeBron James, Anthony Davis Reunion originally appeared on Athlon Sports. There was once a question about who would be the face of the Los Angeles Lakers after LeBron James and Anthony Davis's exits, but that got answered in February. Advertisement The Dallas Mavericks traded superstar guard Luka Doncic, along with Maxi Kleber, to the Lakers for Davis, Max Christie, and a 2029 first-round pick. It's regarded as one of the most shocking deals in sports history, as Doncic is 26 and led the Mavericks to the NBA Finals in 2024, while Davis is 32 and injury-prone. Regardless, Los Angeles now has Doncic to lead it through its post-James era. James exercised his $52.6 million player option with the Lakers on Sunday, but he could still ask out this summer if he doesn't like the team's direction. A new report emerged on Sunday about a possible destination for the 40-year-old if he does request a trade, via Jovan Buha. Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (23)Credit: Kirby Lee-Imagn Images "There has been some buzz in the general NBA ether in the last week or two with LeBron and Dallas," he said. "If you look at the situation, they have AD, they have Kyrie [Irving], they have Jason Kidd, who LeBron played with at Team USA and also played under with the Lakers. Kidd was an assistant on that 2020 title team, and LeBron loved being coached by him." Advertisement "They also have Nico Harrison, which is funny as that is to some, he is a former Nike guy, and LeBron is Mr. an eye on Dallas [if he asks out]," he continued. James and Davis played together in Los Angeles for five-and-a-half seasons, and the two stars led the Lakers to the 2020 NBA title. Meanwhile, the Mavericks now have No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg in addition to Irving and Davis after winning the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery.
