Campervan and motorbike crash shuts A77 near Innermessan

The A77 has been closed in south west Scotland after a crash involving a motorbike and a campervan.Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were sent to the scene near Innermessan - between Stranraer and Cairnryan - at about 16:35.Police Scotland said the road was shut from the A751 junction to the junction at McMaster's Road.Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.

One person injured after car fire in Ramsgate

One person has been injured after a car caught fire in east Kent, a fire service has said. Emergency services were called to the blaze on Royal Approach Road in Ramsgate just before 20:00 BST on Friday. Two fire engines attended and crews used compressed air foam systems to extinguish the flames. South East Coast Ambulance Service said one person was passed into its care. The cause of the fire was currently unknown, the fire service said. Kent Police has been contacted for comment.

A "SERIOUS" crash has left a major motorway closed this morning - with delays for "several hours". Police and ambulance crews scrambled to the scene on the M69 in Leicestershire just before 1am on Saturday. Recovery vehicles have also been called to the northbound carriageway between junction 1 (Hinckley) and the M1 link at junction 21. National Highways said: "The M69 is closed northbound between between J1 (Hinckley) and the M1 link at J21 due to a serious collision. "Leicestershire Police and National Highways Traffic Officers are currently on scene. "Due to ongoing police investigations the closure will remain in place for several hours." 1
