Nebraska makes strong impression on 2027 four-star offensive tackle
Class of 2027 four-star offensive tackle Cameron Wagner was on campus this past weekend.
Wagner is the 154th overall player in the 2027 class, the fifth overall player in the state, and the 15th overall player at his position per Rivals rankings. He measures in at 6-foot-6, 300 pounds.
Right now, he has nine offers in total. His offers include several Big Ten schools, such as Illinois, Iowa, Ohio State, Penn State, and Purdue. He has had a busy month, visiting Ohio State on March 29 and Penn State on April 5. Wagner seemed impressed by his time in Lincoln, posting on social media Saturday afternoon.
Currently, the 2027 Nebraska football recruiting class has zero commitments. However, there seems to be a focus on offensive linemen in this class. Wagner is sturdy both in run and pass-blocking situations, and his versatility could make him a good fit on the offensive line.
The Huskers will undoubtedly have competition for Wagner, especially in their own conference. However, they have made offensive linemen a priority in this cycle, and that attention to detail could pay off.

Other than the Jaguars' Travis Hunter, the standout has been Carolina Panthers rookie Jimmy Horn Jr. Horn was a sixth-round pick by the Panthers in the 2025 NFL draft, but after a fantastic offseason, he is looking like a steal of the draft. With his speed and toughness, Horn is everything a team would want out of a sixth-round receiver. In a recent mock scrimmage at Bank of America Stadium, Horn impressed once again, scoring the first touchdown for the second team offense. Horn was in motion before the snap and then snuck underneath, and quarterback Andy Dalton found him for an easy walk into the endzone. While it was not a typical go-ball that the speedy Horn should see plenty of this season, it was a play that Colorado ran a ton with Horn. Get him the ball in space and let his open-field ability do the rest. Panthers head coach Dave Canales has loved what he has seen from the rookie receiver so far. "I think it's the energy he plays with," said Canales to "He doesn't quit on routes, he continues after the normal part of the protection he can count on, he continues to find space and play fast, and, it's a credit to his fitness, but it's also a credit to just the energy that he puts out there, that you want to throw to him." While sixth-round picks are far from guaranteed to make the final 53-man roster, Horn's performances through the offseason have made it almost a forgone conclusion that he makes Carolina's final group. Social media blew up last weekend after a crazy one-handed catch was made at the NFL Flag Championships by receiver Brysen Wright. The original video of Wright's snag has over 7 million views and caught the eye of NFL talent like Patrick Mahomes, Caleb Williams, and others. On3's Adam Gorney caught up with Wright to discuss recruiting and which schools are currently in the lead. Wright revealed he has heard from the Gators, Ohio State Buckeyes and Miami Hurricanes. 'The only (main) schools I'm hearing from now really are Ohio State, Florida and Miami,' Gorney compared Wright to sophomore Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith. Smith burst onto the scene last season, leading the Buckeyes with 1,315 receiving yards as a true freshman. Smith was a former five-star prospect and the top receiver in the 2024 class. Wright is rated as a four-star on Rivals, and On3's Hayes Fawcett believes the recruit will be one of the prospects in the class. Wright is familiar with Florida, as the Gators had him in town for an unofficial visit in November of last year. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has tabbed Florida as the favorite and gives it a 21.9% chance to land him. Ohio State has a 13.7% chance, while Miami has a 1.2% chance. While Wright's decision may not be imminent, Florida is trending upward as a program. The Gators just secured the first winning season of head coach Billy Napier's tenure, and people are paying close attention to Florida. Greg McElroy even said that Florida could be a problem with a consistent running game.
