Former England and Tottenham legend Paul Gascoigne rushed to hospital
The Sun reported that the former England midfielder was found in a semi-conscious state in his house in Poole, Dorset on Friday and was admitted to an intensive care unit.
The 58-year-old has since been moved to an acute medical unit at Poole Hospital and is recovering in a 'stable condition'. He is expected to spend several more days in hospital for treatment.
Fromer Brighton defender and Gascoigne's friend, Steve Foster, reportedly found him at his home in Dorset. He spoke to The Sun newspaper saying: 'He [Gascoigne] would like to thank everyone for the support he's received so far from so many old friends who wish him well and want to see him back to his best.'

Gascoigne is regarded as one of England's best midfielders and a playmaker. He won 57 caps between 1988-1998 and was famously part of the England teams that went close to winning the World Cup in 1990 and the 1996 European Championship.
Gascoigne has also endured a long public battle with alcohol and mental health problems which started during his playing career and worsened after his retirement from football in 2004.
Last March, he told the High Performance podcast that he was a "sad drunk" living in a spare room at the Dorset home of his agent Katie Davies.
But, earlier this year he gave a positive health update to The Mirror saying he feels better than he has in years.
'I feel better now than I have in years,' he said. 'I hope I am at a point that I can look back over everything I've gone through with a different, more positive, perspective.
'After so many years in the spotlight, I feel like it's time people got to know the real me.'

GENEVA (AP) — England defender Jess Carter is ready to play in the Women's European Championship semifinals after being targeted with racist abuse online, her coach Sarina Wiegman said Monday, adding that it's 'sad' and 'disgusting' that the team has to deal with such an issue. Defending champion England plays Italy on Tuesday, two days after Carter, who is Black, revealed she was subjected to racist abuse this month that was reported to police at home. Carter is 'not the only one that gets this abuse or this racism,' Wiegman said, adding her team was ready to send a 'message to the world.' England midfielder Georgia Stanway said the collective support for Carter 'probably brought us together as a team.' England players talked about the abuse, Stanway said: 'A few people want to come off social media because they're fed up with it.' Tournament organizer UEFA, like world soccer body FIFA and the International Olympic Committee, try to protect athletes with online platforms that flag up abusive posts reported to social media operators. UEFA acknowledged last week this strategy has limited success because of the regulations applied by social networks. 'Although it's a hard situation, Jess is a very strong person,' Wiegman said. 'She also felt, and so did we, that we had to address this. You can't just let it go.' The 27-year-old Carter has played 49 times for England, and came to Euro 2025 after helping her club Gotham FC in New Jersey win the CONCACAF Champions Cup final. Carter's teammates at Gotham include her partner Ann-Katrin Berger, the goalkeeper who was the star of Germany's win over France in the quarterfinals. Paul Gascoigne 'back home and doing well' after hospital visit, representative says
LONDON (AP) — Former England midfielder Paul Gascoigne is back home and 'doing well' after being hospitalized over the weekend, his representative said Monday. 'Paul voluntarily went into A&E on Friday after struggling with a throat condition he has had for a while,' Carly Saward at The MNT talent agency told The Associated Press in an email. 'He is already back home and doing well.' British newspaper The Sun reported that the 58-year-old Gascoigne had been found 'semi-conscious' at home by a friend on Friday in Poole in south England and initially been admitted to an intensive care unit. Agent 'no idea' Hampton in conference when he rang
The mystery caller who rang the England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton during a press conference says he had "no idea" she was being interviewed and "never expected her to answer". Paul Crockford, who is Hampton's agent, decided to FaceTime her shortly after she saved two crucial penalties against Sweden and secured England a place in the Euro 2025 semi-finals last Thursday. Mr Crockford, who has managed the Birmingham-born goalkeeper for seven years, said he was keen to congratulate her and just wanted to tell her how proud he was. "We had all been watching in London, and as you can tell, we were a bit excited. When she showed us we were on her screen, we were like, 'Blooming heck'," he said. Mr Crockford described Hampton as "an incredibly determined person" and said she was "a joy to work with". The 24-year-old, who was brought up in Studley, Warwickshire, and later went to school at Erasmus Darwin Academy in Burntwood, Staffordshire, made her debut for England in 2022. Mr Crockford said she had been "fighting" for the number one spot as a goalkeeper since then, but her performance in the quarter-finals against Sweden had changed things. "What the other night did was seal and cement her position as a number one keeper for England," he added. "It's been a very long journey for us... we first met her nearly eight years ago, and we've seen her ups and downs and just been with her every step of the way," Crockford said, who previously managed musicians, including Dire Straits and Tears for Fears. "She's fantastic to work with and an inspiration to other players and fans - she's been a dream."
